First time buying from these guys. Was looking for a new pair of Cowboy boots. They don't sell close to where I live. Picked the pair I wanted, and within 2 1/2 days there on my doorstep. Ii live in Canada and the city I live in it takes 3 or 4 days to get a package across town. Now for the boots themselves. Excellent fit, excellent, quality. They are exactly what they advertise. I don't think I've ever had as good an experience buying something online as dealing with this company. Will definitely buy from them again.
My wife ordered a pair of Dingo boots. They came quickly but not in a Dingo's box and the soles and heels were scuffed a little. I started the return and found that they want to charge a $10 "Handling Fee" for us to return used goods! Fortunately, my wife says it's not bad enough to lose $10 on, but we will NEVER buy from these scumbags again!
I ordered a Men's work mans Belt.
The package felt odd in feeling not like a belt, as UPS was driving away.
I opened the package and it was a Woman's lite blue sweater (Size 8/M).
I called Sheplers customer service and the employee said they would send me a free return shipping label.
Then I was to take it to a UPS drop off location, which is not convenient for me, as I live in a rural area.
Then when Sheplers had recieved their mistaken order, would they then send me my actual order. (maybe - 2nd time is charm).
I instead opted to get a refund, which will not be credited back to my card, until they recieve their sweater.
I asked the customer service rep if this happens very often, she said "unfortunately these days it does".

This company is the worst when it comes to returning merchandise. They charge a $10 fee per item not order and they also charge a restocking fee. A shirt that I returned which cost me $46 was refunded by the return for only $24! I called and complained and the customer service rep didn't even care and just stated that was their policy. Buyer beware…. Don't order from this company! You will be sorry if the item has to be returned!

I have purchased my Justin boots from Sheplers in the past and i was lucky they fit. I loved them. Purchased a pair of Ariat jeans, lucky they fit, and loved them!
Purchased a pair of shorts, same size as all of my other jeans, and the jeans from Sheplers... they did not fit. I am a Canadian customer, and on this web page https://www.sheplers.com/customer-service-returns-exchanges.html it does NOT clearly state that if you are an international customer, and Shelpers runs out of stock, and you simply wanted to exchange your product... you have to pay to ship them back and they treat it as a return.
As far as I am concerned, I liked the shorts, I wanted to exchange them, and Sheplers ran out. The Customer should NOT be penalized for that and have to pay shipping back, which equates to more $$ than the cost of the shorts to begin with.
Terrible.
They need to update their web page, and include this scenario so that Canadians can have a clear picture on what they are dealing with if they get something that does not fit.
Even the response they sent me reads like the exchange policy does not apply AT ALL for Canadians... whether products are in stock or not...
"Thank you for contacting Sheplers. Regrettably we are unable to set up any type of an exchange for international orders. You have a 60-day window from the shipping date to return your purchase. "

Don't order unless you are 100% sure what your size is if you are not in the USA. Exchange policy is non-existent. And return is either a 40$ flat fee or you choose a shipper and pay.

The shipping was real fast I was surprised when I got them faster then 5 days! They only had one size left so I bought my size though I would have bought a size bigger in a moccasin boot. I thought the leather was not as soft as it looked or reported in details but it was still good leather, the biggest surprise was that the Durango boot was made in China! What? Vote for Trump maybe we will get our manufacturing back from China and get better quality!

After waiting only a week, I was super excited to finally have my turquoise leather jacket. It is extremely gorgeous, however, although the tag said "XXL" it definitely fits more like a small or medium. My grandmother is now enjoying the jacket but I honestly shed a tear or two because I thought I had finally found a beautiful leather jacket that would fit someone taller and broader. Very first purchase and also the very last.
First, I have ordered successfully from them. Shipping was slow, but I got what I wanted.
However, twice now, I have tried to order via the website, and had total failure. First time, I just could not for the life of me get the order to complete. Tried three times on three different days. Gave up, emailed them, their response: nothing.
Second time, I spent about an hour carefully picking out shirts. Placed the order. Wait. Wait. Wait. A month later, nothing. No charge to my card, no confirmation, just nothing.
I won't bother again.
Ordered a $228 leather vest for my wedding and there was delay after delay and just today on May 24th, I get an email saying the order was cancelled b/c they don't have it. I NEVER write bad reviews. This company is horrible. Will never buy from them ever again. A shame b/c I'm heavy spender too.

The website does not indicate whether they have the item in stock or not, it is a bait and they will most like backorder popular items with "2 stock left". Good prices for most country conversions BUT, I would recommend ONLY buying from this site if you live in America cos international shipping is a $#*!.

I stumbled on a gold mine when found Sheplers looking for something else, I made the mistake of looking and I fell in love. I purchased cripplecreek beaded Fringe suede wrap skirt, I viewed all comments and quickly placed my order. I Recieved my skirt today 12/30/19, gorgeous high quality well made beautifully designed. Best of all It fits like It was tailor made for me. I love this company and clothes so much I ordered the turquoise Military Fringe Jacket. Best on line purchase I have ever made.

Bought a few belts from them and was very disappointed in their quality. One of my favorites started to break down after a year, just like car parts only made to last so long, just after the warranty expired. Very sad. But they were very sorry, I guess that counts for something.
I was very interested in purchasing cowgirl boots for my wedding. I had some questions before making my online purchase so I sent an email to the customer service email which states "We aim to respond within 24 hours." Well, that email was sent on May 18. I also followed up on May 23 and still no response.

I ordered a pair of equestrian boots because Sheplers had the best price I could find. Not many options here in Canada. My order never showed up under my account; an employee advised me that their order tracking is not working on their webpage, so I was definitely skeptical at that point.
I got a shipping notification about two weeks later. Tracked the order, and it was already in my city. UPS charged me $20, which really isn't bad for UPS. I was expecting to pay $100 going by my history with this company but maybe the shipping method helps to avoid outrageous brokerage? Not sure.
Anyway, the boots fit and I got them at a price I couldn't get here in Canada. So, I am satisfied with my experience shopping here. I'm sorry to see others haven't had the same experience. I put another order through, so we'll see how that goes...

Ordered a pair of boots to be delivered to Birmingham, Alabama. Got an email saying it's been processed and on its way. Then about 4 days later got another email saying it's being processed at the original site! It's now the 8th day on its way to GA! How long does it take to go from TX to AL? When they said ground I didn't know that meant a GROUND hog would be bringing it!
In the past month I have placed several orders, I spoke to 4 diffrent ladies, Diana, Julia, Connie and Angela all 4 ladies are the best in customer service. Placing orders on the web is fine but I think I will continue to call in my orders when it comes to Sheplers! Outside the CSR experience I have bought 2 Stetson hats and so far love the first one and will be receiving the second soon, both have been bought during Sheplers clearance sales and at a good price. I recommend people to spend a little more money for a better quality, Sheplers has the quality you want! I hope the picture puts a face to the voice.

I ordered a pair of boots online. I got a confirmation when they received the order, I paid through PayPal, I heard nothing for a month. I called customer service after having my emails ignored, when I gave the order number, she put me on hold, I was disconnected and couldn't get through again. An hour later, I received an email telling me that because they couldn't verify my information, my order had been cancelled. Quite a coincidence that on the day I inquired about not receiving my order, they suddenly realized my information wasn't verifiable. So I called again, this time the woman I spoke to was very rude. She spoke over me, did not let me finish a sentence and told me the reason my order was cancelled was that they'd called my financial institution and they wouldn't verify my info. I managed to finally tell her I paid through PayPal, not a bank. She paused, and said that it's the bank they deal with. So I asked her to explain that to me, since she wouldn't have any bank information for me, it was PayPal. She began to speak loudly and changed her story, telling me that my "zip code" wasn't verified. I told her I'm in Canada, so it's a postal code, which includes letters and numbers, I have the confirmation email from them with my postal code written correctly, so that couldn't possibly be the problem. So, we went back to the story about my financial institution being the culprit. So I asked her if they'd spent the last month contacting a Canadian bank about me, but then today, when I called them, just decided to cancel my order? At this point she became belligerent, I asked for a supervisor, she put me on hold, and that's where I remained for 45 minutes. I carried on with my day, my phone at hand…, no one ever came on the line. After writing this, I will call them again, just to push back.
They took the order…, they just didn't bother to process it.
When I called, they realized that hadn't bothered with it, so simply cancelled it. It's a hell of a way to do business.
I'd suggest strongly, that you purchase elsewhere. It's a shady, dishonest company to say the least.

Purchased 2 pair of booties 1 pair is correct other pair is a pair of random booties not even the correct size. 2 emails later 4 chats later still no reply to my emails. So far for a response within 24 hrs. Getting very frustrated. Wouldn't buy again from them.
I placed an order 9 days ago and it hasn't even shipped! In this day of quick shipping and excellent care, Shepler's is lacking. Who would think it takes 9 days to even leave their warehouse? The order is a birthday gift which although order two weeks before the big day, will not certainly be late. I wish I had read these reviews before placing my order. Very upset with myself for ordering with this company.
After reading the posts here I was scared attempting to return/exchange a pair of boots I purchased from Sheplers on line. The first pair that came were defective, so I used the Smart Label they provided to send them back. Long story short, the exchange went very smoothly, only taking two weeks from beginning to end. I was able to track the return package at "sheplers. Com/trackmyreturn", as well as the exchange package coming back to me. I did have to pay $10.00 for the return shipment, but all in all, I am very happy with my purchase, and the way Sheplers handled the exchange. I would have no issue ordering from them again. I think they have a great selection, and fair prices.

One thing to be aware of though with a return/exchange, they credit your card back for the return (minus the $10.00 shipping fee) and then recharge your card again for the exchange (original price you paid).
