According to customer service I failed to see the website has a restocking fee of 10.00 for returns. Absolutely ridiculous Ill never purchase from them again. Customer service was not friendly at all.
Even though they say it's two day shipping they don't put it accountable the warehouse when they choose to ship it I'm highly disappointed with this company. First package was supposedly delivered and it never showed up so when I put a complaining they were supposed to send another one out that hasn't even been shipped from the warehouse they really screwed me over for Christmas and I will not continue to do business with them.
First, I have ordered successfully from them. Shipping was slow, but I got what I wanted.
However, twice now, I have tried to order via the website, and had total failure. First time, I just could not for the life of me get the order to complete. Tried three times on three different days. Gave up, emailed them, their response: nothing.
Second time, I spent about an hour carefully picking out shirts. Placed the order. Wait. Wait. Wait. A month later, nothing. No charge to my card, no confirmation, just nothing.
I won't bother again.
I have been ordering things from Sheplers for about three years now. I am on my fourth pair of boots, and every single one I've ordered was very high quality. I recently talked to customer service, and their staff is the best I've ever had to deal with. They are fantastic, and I will continue to buy things from them.
I placed an order 19 days ago and noticed on website that order had not been shipped yet. Customer Service rep told me orders are not shipped until 18 business days after order is placed. That means up to 30 days to receive item in the mail. Way too long. Went to Zappos and found nicer item for only $3 more and NO WAIT time! Would not recommend ordering from Sheplers.
Ordered two pairs of matching boots for my daughter's wedding. Once they arrived they did not match so I contacted CS and explained it to them. They were pleasant and sent me a return label and promised to find matching boots or contact me if they could not. Ten days later, was sent one pair and reimbursed for the other with no call explaining what they were doing to fix the problem. Called them, was told yes they have boots that match but now I have to repurchase the other pair when in fact they had not credited my account yet. Was told several times, just buy them they will match. So, again purchased the boot. Days later, two pairs of boots that again slightly off in color which I"m sure is normal but the stitching color was different on them. Called CS yet AGAIN, given the sorry, we can send you a label so you can return them yet again speech. So now, daughter's wedding is coming up, NO BOOTS and not happy with the whole situation since this has been going on for over a month.
I ordered a birthday present for my great niece at the end of October and it is 11/16 and still no package. They say they ship in three days on their site. These people are thieves and I had to get another present so I would have one for her.
I broke my ankle this summer and can no longer wear my beloved high heels for a while. Love short western style boots so was shopping for a deal on Black Friday as I am a single mother of two sons with autism and a fulltime autism preschool teacher who spends a lot of money on her sons' and students' needs but not her own wants. So was super joyous to find the pair of my dreams at Shepler's at a great deal. Waited, every day checking my porch to see a box from Shepler's on it. Went back to their site to see if there was tracking on my order. My order was cancelled, without giving me notice, without explanation. Not my credit card! I have 838 credit score and zero debt, with 18,000.00 available on my card. I shop a lot online and never have I been treated so crassly. Then I looked. They still had my boots available in my size and color. At a higher price of course! Sent details to the Better Business Bureau and got my boots, NOT at Sheplers. WILL NEVER SHOP AT THIS SH*TTY BUSINESS.
Ordered in 29 november, all was allegedly in stock. December 10 no confirmation of shipping... called customer service and was told it was packaged for shipping and could not be cancelled. Two business days later it is still being processed and it has not shipped. Told them they better pull it because I am not paying for it. Again told it was too late. 40 years of history over. Better hire you some older employees that still believe in integrity. Btw, don't run my card already stopped it.
No email or confirmation and busy signal when trying to find out what is going on. Never had an order history in my account but finally after ordering a different pair and receiving them 2 days later with a different company did they show up. Keeping them only because I don't want to deal with them on trying to get a refund.
I ordered boots for my granddaughter Nov 27 and on Dec 7 the was still no order history but my credit card charged. Talked to someone on the 10th and they said the order will be here on the 15th for sure. Guess what no boots and the web page says there is no order history. Buy somewhere else.
Purchased a leather vest from this company. Returned the vest due to wrong size. Called customer service regarding delay in refund. I was told that it takes ten days for them to receive the returned product and an additional four to five weeks before I would receive my refund. Interesting way to use other peoples money.
I bought one pair of boots- fine. Second pair was awful. No response. No email response. On the phone for 45 minutes on hold- no answer. Complete lack of respect for the repeat customer. Forced to make a fraud claim through Amex - since they won't even acknowledge their own order number for a return. Use Allens. Or anyone else.
After one week still no shipping date.

I wish I had read reviews on this company first. I ordered a pair of boots to receive an email saying they're on back order until May! I am in the process of receiving a refund and have my bank involved. Never have I come across a company who takes money when the goods are not available! Probably because its illegal. Also reading about the quality of the product on these reviews has annoyed me also
12 days now for my orders with multiple emails and now the phone number does not even work. This is beyond unprofessional! I will never place another order with Sheplers and I hope that you do not get burned as well.
I ordered 2 shirts December 4 and only one has come. The other was shipped from Texas, went to St. Louis, then instead of going to Illinois, went back out to Kansas on December 23. Will no longer order from Sheplers.
I was delighted to find a pair of lined jeans online... but the delight faded quickly when faced with the shady sales practices of sheplers.
Within two minutes of making the online order I received an email
Confirming my order. I found that I would be paying the price plus $35.00 shipping as a didn't know I was ordering from outside of Canada where I live. Within two minutes I called the customer service line and was told that there are no refunds on sales goods and " the order was already shipped. So I was stuck with the price in USD, the duty for importing them in USD ($25) and $35.00 USD shipping... this much I cannot afford and will be paying off for months to come on my credit card out of my old age pension. Shame on you Cindy for lying to me just to stop me from cancelling a sale. You are preying on a poor old man who will miss a meal or two over this. Sheplers will never again get my business.
Ordered a $57 pair of pants and received a shirt instead. At least they provided a shipping label for return. That was 14 days ago, and when I called today to check on the status they informed me that it was still in transit! What? I asked for a tracking number, but was told only they could use the order number to track the return. My only way was to call back and a representative could give me the status. I am beginning to wonder just how much more of a fight it will be to actually get a refund for an order they screwed up. You have been warned... stay away from this company!
The product is wonderful. We love the boots - when we finally get them. Paid for overnight shipping, and our order is arriving 5 DAYS LATE. We will not be ordering from this company again. Customer service is kind and helpful, but the rest is just rubbish. Please go out of business.
**Warning** - I got caught up in the hype of buying something that I wanted on line. Little did I realise that this matter was going to drag on for so long. I ordered a pair of boots, Sheplers in their wisdom sent me a pair of boots FIVE sizes too small. So you do the right thing and contact customer service - no issue - other than - because of their error, it was going to COST me postage! Are you serious? For their mistake - they charge the client? Now, that's not a way to do business.
Without the involvement of my banking institute this sordid issue would have dragged on.
So folks, do yourself a favour and do not do business with Sheplers.
They are not customer focused - and to add insult, when the boots were returned they even charged a handling fee.
For those interested, I did not exchange the boots nor re-order them from Sheplers.
Answer: I think ur probably better off buying thick wool socks that's what I did when I got the wrong size from here I just bought some big wool socks and now they fit great.
