The overall reputation of the company reflects significant dissatisfaction among sellers, primarily due to inadequate customer support and a frustrating user experience. Common concerns include long response times, unresolved issues, and a lack of tailored assistance, leading many to consider leaving the platform. While some sellers acknowledge the potential for sales, the overwhelming sentiment is one of frustration with the outdated interface and poor communication. This feedback suggests a pressing need for improvements in support training and system functionality to enhance seller satisfaction and retention.

I wish if I could rate them minus -5 *,
Selling at Amazon is nothing less than modern slavery, Amazon can deactivate your account at any time without any reason and the worst thing is that they can hold your money for the orders already successfully delivered to customers. They will give you a lame excuse, their support team is the worst I have come across in my entire life, some fresh Uni grads, not knowing the business, giving no authority to make even a small decision always apologetic "Sorry for the inconvenience but this is not in my hands" and always sending standard stock emails without considering the information and facts provided.
Amazon deactivate our account and sent a notification that money they owe to us will be paid after 90 days. Now they are saying they will not pay us anything as they "suspect" our account is used in illegal practices and can't provide any details as what illegal practices we were doing.
Hard earned AUD $6,500 are sitting with Amazon and every time we contact them they send a standard stock reply.
Seeking help from anybody at this forum, who should we contact or escalate to get our money back?
It would be better to talk to a bull rather taking your problem to customer service, they have no skill or knowledge about those services. They will share auto response not related to your question and if you ask for further support, they will call you to ask what you think the solution will be.
To fix a problem with a failed seller site registration, Amazon suggested I use a different e-mail I.D. and phone number (presumably leaving the broken registration attempt on the system where it has been for more than a year). My e-mail addresses and both my cell phone numbers are now locked out of registration by Amazon. I cannot use a different cell phone number - this is a business and I cannot afford to change it to accommodate Amazon's flawed software and registration processing (and their lack of support). This is probably the 6th or 7th time I have tried to get this fixed.
Originally, I tried to create a new seller site registration and got 95% finished but I moved to another state before I could receive the address verification letter. I cannot travel back 1400 miles to my old address to get the verification e-mail, and I cannot work with the new people that live there.
I have tried several times to explain this and keep getting routed by somebody to https://www.amazon.com/hz/contact-us which does not help my situation at all. The chat bots do not know what to do with this and will send me on a wild goose chase to the wrong or broken links (authors, for example) and then I finally end up going back to that same website.
When I try to connect with my attempted registration and log in, it sends ANOTHER mail verification letter to my old address. I have asked them to CANCEL MY ORIGINAL REGISTRATION so I can get out of this catch-22 loop, or at least connect me with somebody who will stay with me until this is solved and I can start selling my book. I have been trying to get this cleared up for over a year. I am so tired of getting e-mails saying that Amazon is concerned and will fix the problem and provide help. DO NOT SELL ON AMAZON, they hold all your money on account level reserve they take money from you little by little change up your payouts dates things dont add up they are scam artists ive never had these problems with a merchant in my life, customer service cant do anything to help you except create cases that never get answered, absolutely the worst experience of my life, i would rate 0 stars, the fact that they hold your money for a month is ridiculous, when your buying products with your own money and fulfilling your orders yourself they have no right to hold your money. Ive had over thousands of dollars stolen from me from there "system" do not waste your time with these people, take your business to a different merchant. My disbursements have changed multiple times it first started off as 600 for a couple small items and brought down to 400 i was promised my money in 3-5 days multiple times its been over 2 weeks, and it seems like they just release your money little by little in increments, anyone who does business knows time is money and the longer they hold your money the less you can make, they promise to release your fund every 2 weeks, but will then hold it all on account level reserve for another 2 weeks, and release less then 10% at a time by the time you get your money bills and life eats it up you have no room to grow or progress, big scam.
This was the worst seller experience that I have ever had. No other retailer even comes close. Amazon will give your items away for free to any customer, for any reason. Amazon on multiple occasions will not even give the seller the opportunity to respond to a customer complaint, nor will they even inform the seller a complaint/case has been opened against you. They are not concerned with the customer returning your merchandise to you, no matter what the cost. This has opened the door to many criminals flocking to Amazon, buying items and making false claims. They fully understand how this system works, and they are assured that it will be beneficial to them and not the seller. This is a thieves paradise. In the end, I was losing far more money than I was making. I had to walk away, and I closed my account. I hand many cameras, and other electronic devices stolen from me. And there was nothing that I could do about it. If you like me, I am sure you are boiling with anger. I think I stayed too long, and should have walked away much sooner. Amazon Selling s Disgusting. While I am not a fan of eBay and other sites, I can say that they will at least read and respond to most of your complaints, nothing like Amazon. Some of the last items that were taken from me were a $500 camera, and 2 wireless speakers costing $600 each. I also had a guy who stole a unit and sent me a broken non-working unit in its place, that was banged up so bad, It didn't even resemble the item that I sold him. I just gave the refund because I became tired of Amazon's B. S. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. If you are selling $2 Chinese made items, it might be better for you because you really don't have much to lose. However, if your are selling anything of value, STAY AWAY FROM AMAZON!
I sell on Amazon (not a huge volume but 1500 units a month) and have been having issues with obtaining brand recognition. I applied for brand recognition following the instructions provided, submitted documentation, and was given a window of 48-72 hours for a decision. During this time, my listing was made inactive due to pending approval. Odd, however, 3 amazon seller support representatives assured me this was normal. 1 week goes by, I have not heard an update, I call Amazon to ask why it is taking so long and why I cannot sell my product under generic. They assure me it is being escalated and they will inquire about my listing is inactive. I receive a pre-typed response with a link to standard selling regulations I can sift through. No response. This becomes a routine, wait 3-4 days, contact them, a new seller support associate assures me they're working on it, then nothing. I have spoken to 20+ associates, and numerous leadership personnel, and still, no resulve. I am in week 7 now of waiting for them to find competence in viewing a picture with my product brand name listing (mind you, I have photo proof of this being my brand as it is a product my wife and I created) OR just allowing me to sell my product under generic. Long story short, seller support is a joke and appears to have incompetent or unwilling people to assist sellers. It is frustrating to sit on inventory in the warehouse and be charged for storage or be charged for a removal order because these people can't put minimal effort into their job. I know Amazon has a history of making it difficult to fire people, but could you maybe hire someone helpful in that department? If you are a new seller, I hope you don't have the experience we have. However, be prepared to not receive support from Amazon. In my experience, they don't seem to put much value into sellers.
I have only been an Amazon Seller for approximately 5 weeks. My products have been selling for about 4 weeks now, but I have not received a single penny from Amazon. I had a scheduled bank transfer on 6/23/22 that simply didn't happen. The funds are no longer in my Amazon account, and they certainly aren't in my bank account. The Disbursement Report shows that the transfer was initiated on 6/23/22, and today (6/28/22) the transfer status still shows as "Started". I have sent 4 inquiries to Amazon, but there is zero customer service. There is only an automated response showing "read this article". Amazon is completely ripping me off, and completely avoiding my inquires about my funds. Reading other Amazon Seller complaints, I am astounded as to how there are still so many sellers on Amazon today? Does Amazon only steal from certain companies? It is extremely obvious that Amazon is stealing sellers funds. Why does the FTC and FBI allow this to happen?
Had a very bad experience with Amazon as a seller as it is not seller friendly at all. They charge you for almost everything plus i lost so many products in transit for which they did not refund my money too.
Not recommended at all.
Amazon Seller Central is the most convoluted, money hungry site on the planet. Listing your company or priduct involves a CIA interrogation that takes weeks. To advertise or promote your product or service, you'll have to sell your house to afford it. Customer support is pure fkn dog $#*!. They just send you preset pdfs, full of endless pages Bezos diarrhea rather than assist you with resolving an issue. To list a product you need a PhD in computer software and science, then Sales are $#*! too, so it's a waste of time. Absolute crap.
Not sure how to start this, I had the leave a rating that's why I put 1 star 1 star otherwise it will be 0 perit will be 0. Sent my shipment off to Amazon August 2021 my confirmation of shipment delivered by UPS and signed for by Amazon dock person by the name of swagger. Some how my entire shipment went missing,. I filled for reimbursement, but that was the absolute worst experience ever. I provided all of the requested documents that did no good. Every associate I spoke with said they couldn't help it wasn't their department. Trying to reach management was impossible. Then they disabled the call back feature. This went on from August 25th 2021 until January 28th 2022. I submitted a new case today June 17th 2022 and was told upon review of your case that you submitted August 21st 2021 we can not assist you do to the fact it's been nine months since your shipment was lost. Meanwhile almost a year later no compensation or found inventory.
Absolutely the worst customer service in the industry. Cant get a person on the phone, cant get the messages to go through, There is always an error. No one ever replies. Been selling on here for over 10 years and each year its worst and worst. Jeff Bezos should be ashamed of himself.
I was a customer of Amazon but after I started selling my products on seller central, i have experienced for myself how corrupt and shady Amazon is. I enrolled on FBA service which means my products would be fulfilled by Amazon, meaning I would send my products to Amazon and they would ship to customers whenever they ordered. Every item shipped charge a fee and also charges a storage fee per item. The fees add up and as a seller you make next to nothing. To make matters worse, they do the shipping but if a customer complains of damaged or not getting the whole order as advertised, they blame the seller although the seller is paying them to do the shipping?. Some customers buy the same product over and over in a week or two and then turns around and asks for a refund of all the products they bought without returning the products. You would think Amazon would flag this as possible fraud but no. They refund the customer and still charge their fees from the seller. I can write a whole book on what I have experienced in this soo called Amazon seller central but anyone who want to play with you mental health, be a seller on this site. It's just crap and it should be investigated for unethical business practice.
Literally took 8 thousand dollars from me because customers wanted to keep shoes even tho they were not so called "authentic " I've provided invoices and everything they have asked for. Now they won't even respond to me. SCAM bad business. Customers can literally lie and you're out of money even though you have proof
Pretty much exact same experience as everyone else here. Should've looked into it more before trying to sell on Amazon. Utterly useless customer service. They don't read your messages and just reply with typical copy-pasta. Had a customer return an item claiming that it didn't work. Amazon marked it as unsellable. Got the item back and tested it only to find that it works perfectly fine. I paid Amazon FBA fees and shipping only to end up back where I started. Basically got digitally robbed by a mega corporation.
I had a customer that changed her mind and wanted to ship back her $1000 leather chair. I told her we would gladly take it back but that since the chair was delivered on time and there was nothing wrong with it she had to pay the return shipping cost (If we as a company ate the cost of all the shipping costs on customers who just changed their minds we would be out thousands of dollars). She said she did not want to pay the return shipping cost and opened up a claim with Amazon. Amazon then went into our account and refunded her the full amount of money without letting us know and she still has the chair! I then appealed it with Amazon saying that you didn't even reach out to me about the claim and they basically said "too bad." So now we are out $1000 and some lying customer just got a free $1000 chair.
Been selling for a few yrs. Parcels to pallets goes missing. Then get automatically disposed of. Customer service disgraceful with 99% generally automated response asking for more details which them exact details already supplied. Just time wasting scam artists. Avoid these scam artists for selling your products
No phone number support for Amazon Sellers. Account suspended abruptly with active customer orders. No adjustment for shipping times. Amazon will refund your customer without knowledge or access to customer. Two step verification is terrible to get through to access account. Overall headache all the way around. We have decided to stop the frustration and abandon this selling ave. Be prepared to struggle.
I have had my account deactivated because of a slow changeover in the owner and there is no support for an appeal - they send you to a form to help with appeals and the automatic reply is that this is the wrong email please go to the same site which recommends the same site - is is absolutely shocking and I am absolutely fuming about how unhelpful they are - there is no support number and nobody else in amazon will help
The Amazon portal is a serious risk to anyones mental health. Its antiquated, slow impossible to understand and want to know what colour underpants you wear before they will give you an account. Stay well clear.
Answer: If I was you I will stop everythings involving with Amazon and find others platforms to sell my products. Usually it takes 2-3 weeks under reviews. In your case 46 days it means there is a probleme. But this is only the 1st problems tons will come, TONS.
Answer: Jeff@amazon.com I would complain to the AG for Washington and copy Customer service. Worst case (if you can) set up a new bank account. You will be extremely lucky if you get a real person to speak with you. Good luck.
