Amazon is an abusive company with sellers. You can have 110% of the reason and a customer a -0% and Amazon will give the customer the reason as it wants. If you are a seller, you are going to lose money, patience and your time at Amazon. There are thousands of customer aids and NOTHING help for a salesperson. If you want to have a business or want to grow your existing business, DO NOT THINK ABOUT AMAZON SELLER, because you are going to lose!
First of all they lost some of my items when they received it. They refused the category i chose by saying they needed a commercial invoice with specifics informations on it. Ive sent many commercials invoices and they didn't accept any of them because " some information in it did not pass their criterias " they never say what was specifically the issue with my invoice. It was even worse when i called them. They looked like students learning how to work because they could not help me at all. Finally i changed my product category after three hours of search of how to do it because my category was locked and their help page looked like a chinese puzzle. After all that my products are active. I started their dumb method of advertising with bidding more then the average and having a decent budget but guess what. 0 clicks no sales with a product 9/10 score on jungle scout. My pictures my keywords and my description are top notch and at the end. Nothing. I have downloaded their app to manage my advertising and see my sales. I saw with the app that you can see the ranking of your product and i didn't have any ranking. Amazon is a total waste of time and money. The service they give is more than bad. The seller central site is more complicated than a chinese puzzle. The advertising system is illogical. To be ranked you need reviews but to have reviews you need to sell but to people seeing your products on the first pages you need to be ranked. It all sucked from A to Z. The only good system to be in the first pages with good reviews is by fraud. Fake accounts and fake reviews. That system suck really bad

They advertise to you like it's so easy. I have been jumping hurdles here, there and everywhere. I ordered products from China to New Zealand to check before I sent them to an FBA. Great, they have video tutorials, but they don't tell you everything, like how to pack products in the same box. So I put them in separate boxes, but the postal services don't like the shipping labels. I say screw it and decide to order more straight from the supplier to the FBA. But my supplier is getting angry with me asking a million questions before I pay because they won't give me a feckin address before they know the box size, weight and it's maiden name. And now I've gone back to it after finally getting the box dimensions, they want them packed in separate boxes. Amazon, you're getting them in the same box whether you like it or not. I've spent hundreds of dollars try to start this off, if Amazon is so successful, why can't it understand ease of use!? You want my advice? Don't bother, go to Shopify, or eBay, or Facebook. You'd be better off selling cookies in the street, because I haven't got a whiff of a penny yet.
If you earn Rs 100/- with Amazon, you loose Rs 1000/-. It is not seller friendly. Seller has to bare the losses even if the mistake is from Amazon agent or from customer.
Total disaster, if you call them you arrive somewhere in India with a bad connection and the have most of time 90 procent of the time no idea what the issue is and how to solve it...
I sell on Amazon since 2010 and to be honest with you I think they are terrible. I do not do it to make money, I lost my job so I sell my stuff to get by. Their fees are HUGE, when I started they were more or less reasonable but now on $12 sale after shipping and fees I pocket maybe $3-5 and this is NOT profit this is what I get, profit is non-existent. But this is not even the point - their support is terrible - offshore call centers only keep you on hold and so far I am yet to see resolution for any issue. If you get some customer who is fishing for free stuff and lie that they received wrong item but refusing to return it and demand full refund, Amazon just says Not OUR Problem. My account got suspended for a day with no complains or claims and after 2 hours on hold they told me that maybe next day I get e-mail with explanation - never happened, account was released with no explanation. And the last drop is any small mistake and they shut you down, NO room for error. If you ask me if I had to sell for profit I rather spend my money on promoting my own web-site rather then selling via Amazon.
Trying to delete your seller account is incredibly difficult for no reason with horrible customer support.
Ease of purchase, quick interface with buyers. Best pricing! I love Amazon and visit it daily. Look at the Gold Box every day to get worthwhile discounts on quality merchandise.

They make it so hard to sell items, and needs approval request for each one, and even if you show them the proof of purchase they be like no, provide us the invoice from the retailer, WHICH IS EXTREMELY HARD TO GET!
They even charge your account if you are not making any sells, FIRST OF ALL, they are the one not letting me sell the products, Second, THEY NEED TO CHANGE THEIR POLICY!
I understand every company has their own policies but this policy is not acceptable at all! They ask for your personal documents and if they have those and can provide the proof of purchase, there shouldn't be anything else they need to ask.

I just spent 25 minutes on the phone and am currently on hold for a manager to talk to me. I spoke with a customer service agent who was very nice, however couldn't provide one answer to any of my simple questions. He was "very understanding" of my situation and apparently everything on Amazon is "system generated" so no one has the information to tell me what products are "elegible" for a buy button. I am always polite to service reps as I also deal with my customers and helping them but it's so maddening when they can't help you at all... every time you call for help. I asked to speak with a manager once it was clear he could no longer help me. It took me 5 direct requests for him finally to put me on hold for a manager... which I doubt is going to happen at this point. Not once has Amazon service reps been helpful or actually resolved an issue. It amazes me that they even still get business. If you're debating putting your products on Amazon, don't bother. I've already wasted 30 minutes of my day on this and this is not the first or even 2nd time.
I cant tell you how many times the company I work for has contacted seller central Amazon, and never got a response, after being on the phone for hours. After each phone call they tell us they opened a case and it will be answered within a couple days. Today is now the 15th of August, AMAZON OPENED this case on JUNE 25TH and I am still waiting on an answer. They never seem interested in protecting our trademarked brand. Thats not all... Listings get taken down for no reason, working with Amazon is impossible and THEY ARE TELLING ME I NEED TO DELETE ALL MY PRODUCTS AND LOSE YEARS OF SALES DATA TO CHANGE THE BRAND NAME OF MY PRODUCTS. This is crazy, and unacceptable.
Amazon is the worst sellers platform ever! They require you to register as self-employed in order to set up a business account with them. I started selling with them in March and for a couple of months everything went ok, but then I got an inauthentic item claim, and my account was suspended in June! I then made an appeal and by the end on June my account was reinstated for a day. Then the next day they blocked my account again because I didn't have a VAT number! But I didn't make money above the threshold to apply for VAT, but apparently you still have to apply for it if you sell online even if you make very little or no money. I then applied for VAT, and now Amazon have given me another excuse that they cannot unblock my account because my VAT is invalid! But it isn't invalid, and it was given to my by HMRC. Amazon is a joke. I haven't been able to sell on Amazon for three months! I wish I could give them zero stars because they are terrible! I have lost so much money using Amazon. Amazon is terrible for sellers, and they treat their sellers horrifically!
STEALING MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT 2X TIMES. THEY TOLD ME TRY IT ITS FREE. IT WAS BAD SO I SAID I WONT USE IT THAN THEY CHARGED ME 2 TIMES 30 POUNDS FOR NOTHING, I NEVER SOLD ANYTHING AND NEVER DONE ANYTHING JUST REGISTERED.
If you pay for membership they will put all kinds of wired policies to not refund you if you change your mind.

Do not sell on this platform unless you are ready to suffer losses. Lots of fraudulent customers scaming sellers here and the platform encourages it to force you to sign up for FBA.
The support people can barely read and all they know how to do is send out canned responses. They have no ability to understand anything but simple issues. I have spent a month trying to get the brand in our products fixed as they were hacked by a couple of Chineses sellers. Once our product had two different Chinese brands in two days. It took a month the get the brands removed but a brand that is not even a brand ended up in one product. Amazon defends the brand that is not a brand and sends me the same crap no matter how I describe the issue. This brand in the product is not even registered with USTPO. Amazon thinks their branding is fool proof but there are people hacking product brands. To be an Amazon support person you have to qualify as a moron or they won't hire you. Furthermore, every time you reply to a case it get assigned to someone new who knows nothing about the past case log and does not read it. What a horrible structure! Amazon seller central has maxed out the Peter Principal.
I signed up on Nov 15th to list 2 products in time for Thanksgiving. Guess what... it is Feb 8th, and I still have not managed to list these products. Why? Because this is the most complex logistic platform where if make one single mistake listing it (and you will not make one but MANY), they reject it. Every time you resubmit what you believe to be the right information, they take 3- 10 days to review it. If wrong, you get in the same cycle till YOU figure out what is right because most of the time they will not tell you what is wrong. This has been the worst experience of setting up my business I have ever had. Oh, and they will charge you while you are not set up trying to figure out how to get on board. I seriously don't know how anyone can deal with this platform, its rules and protocols. Makes no sense to me. Not easy, not fun, and completely helpless, and absurdly long delays. They are 100% anti-seller, almost as though they make it as difficult and bureaucratic for you to list anything. I used to sell on Amazon 10 years ago, and used to be A LOT easier, and user-friendly and helpful. You can't find anything easy on this platform. I challenge you to find your merchant ID... let's see if you can find that on your own, because you will need it for everything. Just a small example. I hope I can get my products in the next 6 months so I can continue to test the inefficiencies on this site and make sure everyone knows, because Jeff Besos sitting atop of the wealthiest man in the world title certainly doesn't give 2 f@#ks about it. In fact he may laugh if he read this. Total Shame!
If you are not able to overlook a lot silly rules and abhorrent decions do not apply for an account. It seems like there are mostly people using a translater to read emails and invoices.
Answer: If I was you I will stop everythings involving with Amazon and find others platforms to sell my products. Usually it takes 2-3 weeks under reviews. In your case 46 days it means there is a probleme. But this is only the 1st problems tons will come, TONS.
