This really was a commitment to MY-Self. Wow, what a year of making that payment a priority and watching my scores rise. And now I get this mega payout I've been looking forward to! Self has been a great investment, something I would do again and recommend to anyone exploring savings and credit. They also made it so easy for me to update my legal name. As opposed to Ca$$hCrap. Self has made some incredible opportunities available to me. Thanks!

I have supposed to receive my pay out over three weeks ago. I've sent in five different documentations and I keep getting the same generic email. For the past two weeks I've been requesting a supervisor and have yet had a call or a personal email from a supervisor I recommend y'all joining a company and setting up a account to a local bank or if you are currently with one. Please do not waste your time, money and energy with this company. You will not be satisfied.

I had this account, lost my job and the credit card used I lost. I missed one payment and my score took a 100 point deduction, which defeats the purpose of my utilizing self. When you are already doing business with people who have challenges that are sometimes out of their control there should be some consideration taken. 100 points seems a bit excessive for the monthly payment that I used to save my money. I wouldn't recommend self.

The first time I got a loan from self I payed it off too early which in turn I did not get to receive the credit increase ( over 12 months) because I did not understand how it worked. I ended up taking out another loan but this time I went the whole twelve months and during that time I receive a 49 credit increase and a few unsecured credits (when using the credit card responsibly) my overall experience was and is wonderful. I recommend to anyone who is wanting to build their credit. It's a journey but well worth it!

This company stole my money, and then had the worst customer service ever. They had me make on time payments for two years straight, only to tell me that they closed my account, for not being able to get important documents from me they got 300 dollars from me. Not to mention never got my credit score to move more than 40 points. I will be contacting the BBB on this situation not fair l want what's rightfully my hard earned money NOW!

Do not do business with these people.
I have made $35.00 monthly payments for almost two years.
They cancelled my account claiming, erroneously, that I did not respond to their requests for information.
They will not refund the money paid to date.

I didn't believe this would work as well as it has. My mom referred me to try this out for $50 a month and she said it would build my credit. I didn't believe her but I tried it anyways and self has helped me so much since last year! Now I'm done with the first year and at one point my score was up over 100 points!

Do not use this $#*!ty company for any credit builder account. I had a lost/stolen card and payment did not go through, they knew it was lost/stolen and this company put a late payment on my account that was not even true. Basically had better credit before I signed up with these scumbags. And as soon as I found out about the payment not going through, I paid it. One late payment knocked my credit score down 55 points. $#*! this company, go through a local bank, they have credit building accounts that wont $#*! rape you for a couple hundo and would at least give you a courtesy email and call.

This company is not careful enough to help combat fraud. Their procedures and policies allow for fraud to occur. After several recent attempts to address this issue - the companies response was abysmal. This company should be shut down.

They took a $100 deposit for a credit card that took months to come and when it did it did not work. Although I was not able to use the card they continued to take a $25 monthly payment out of my account automatically. When I asked them to close the account it did not happen and I still have not gotten my $100 security deposit back. It has been months. I also set up an account to build credit for $250. Once I reach that limit they continued to take money out of my account automatically and when I was finally able to get a response from customer service they sent me a check for $167. Self has cheated me out of hundreds!

Self was so freaking amazing in the beginning, credit score went up as promised, got a credit card in three months as promised, credit builder account helped my score as well, and then it was time for my payout! EVERYTHING THAT THEY PROMISED IN THE BEGINNING, IT'S ALL A BIG FAT LIE! THIS COMPANY IS FULL OF SH...! DON'T TRUST THE PROCESS!

I saved $725 in 2 months and choose early payout now they are giving me the run around about when I will receive my payment it's been a month. I did it before and I got my payout Idk why they won't give it to me now its my money that I put in they didn't lend it to me so I'm confused. If you have any issues don't expect to get a clear answer they will tell you that they have to email hire up and they can never get a hold of a supervisor.

Paid into self regularly on autopay and 18 months into paying with nearly $2000 saved, they decided to verify my account, why? Who knows. I completed the verification but apparently they didn't process it correctly. They closed my account and kept my money.

I cannot believe this is legal

I am so upset i spend 724.65 for 1 year to only get back 382.65 just bc of a stupid secure credit card i got that was closed due not no payment bc of financial issues, that was my money, i will never referre someone to this, this is a scam, not worth the time.
