I wrote a review last month that I can't find so I can update. I said that applying for them made my credit score lower 44 points but it turns out it was something else. I haven't even made my first payment yet (due the 8th) and my credit score went up 68 points! I know it won't be this much every month but this really excites me. As long as they report monthly like they say they so, I won't have any complaints!

This company is a joke. Been with them for 2 years and trying to close my account. Paid off my balance and payment cleared my account. However this unethical company has still not posted my payment 6 days later. Use them to build up your credit then leave. Do NOT transfer your money to their pathetic secured Visa card. They'll never offer to unsecure, they never give you a CLI, and they'll charge you 22% for screwing you over.

Self help me to improve my credit with reasonable spending & steady payments on time. Yes I recommend self cc services to anyone trying to build or rebuild credit.

This company is trying to keep my refund. My accounts have been closed and I am due a refund. I have spoken to several different reps in regards to my account being closed and that my refund should be issued, but it has not. I am constantly receiving different emails asking for different things to continue doing business with Self.inc which I DO NOT WANT TO. All I want is my money back and for them to leave me alone. My next step is to retain a lawyer and contact the media.

I wanted to build my credit. I've been with Self for a year, and all I do is keep making payments. About four months ago, I was notified that they send me a credit card every time I check every time I call they just put me through so much and they say oh we're gonna send you another one it's been over four months this is a scam I don't recommend it to anyone please do not fall for it!

Self did what it had to do I even had some friends and family sign up, the only I didn't like is the $25 fee for the credit card like even if you don't use it you still have to pay the $25 but my credit is popping……. I wish I can do it for 6 months tops that a put me at the max with my credit! If you didn't try it I think you should plus you get back what you put in after you complete your year to two years

They have government reports of fraud but they are a our country company t hat makes morenmoney than you. Then they ignore ur human rights as a credit holder. They are very low in integrity. I will see them in court soon. And guess what they won't show up. It's older people micro managing

Self just sent me an email regarding my identity. I thought this a little odd since I have a card with them in good standing for over two years. For a reason, which Self cannot explain to me, Self wants me to send them a copy of my bank statements and a picture of my government ID.

Sorry Self but not only will I not send you those two items but I am going to find out who to contact regarding the matter. My bank account is none of your GD business. Period! You opened an account for me two years ago and now you want all this.

And, please get someone to answer your customer service calls who speaks understandable English. I know I may be a minority but please.

They are also customer friendly and helped me really improve my credit score. I was looking for new ways to earn online some months back and fortunately for me I got referred to MintonBlock by a colleague who introduced me to their digital assets investment fund. Really impressed with the customer service and my assigned manager patient and professional enough to walk me through the steps. And I've since been making decent monthly returns to help build my passive income portfolio. Will sure recommend.

I opened and credit builder account my score went up a few points nothing major. Then tried to get a self visa card waited over a month and hadn't got anything. Still haven't you'd think if they send it it would get here eventually right, nope. So i closed the account both and now i've been waiting for them to send the money back to my account t why does it take over 14 days they do take this long to charge you and most places it only takes a few days for them to deposit into an account. I don't believe they ever sent a credit card and i have bills to pay and still haven't gotten MY money. Not worth it at all customer service sucks too. Run!

Stay away from Self. Their customer service is not good. The credit score they report is inaccurate. The app is broken which you can see in the picture. My score has improved with every other credit score provider including experian, credit karma, and my bank (who uses Fico), but has gone down with Self. Every attempt to discuss these issues with customer service has resulted in the exact same robotic response explaining that they use vantagescore 3.0 to produce credit scores. The problem is that they give incorrect vantage scores which I verified with 3 other vendors. Now, after reading other poor reviews, I'm becoming worried about what else is in store for me once I exit the program. Yikes

After you pay off your account and close it. It takes a half of a month for them to get around to get your money back to you.

Ten to Fourteen business days otherwise known as two weeks. Then to see them try and explain away it is pathetic.

This isn't the 1800s where you have to load up my gold on horseback and ship it across the wild untamed plains of America. Where train and stage coach robbers hold up your loot. Or you are attacked and killed by wild Apaches and taken out.

This is modern day America. It should be a matter of days to get my money. Not two weeks just to transfer my money then another 3 days to get it deposited into my account.

They are only holding your money to make interest off of it. That is it. Completely unethical and disgusting practice. I've never had to wait two weeks just to get my money. EVER.

I will not be using them again.

I had been struggling with late payments and collection items for years. I payed for the services of Self for several months and nothing changed. They are only a scam, will take your money but do nothing. I was in desperate need of fixing my credit. I found out about a credit expert called Blitz on Instagram (@ 1andonlyblitz). An amazing guy. Deleted all 12 charge offs, more than 16 late payments and all the collection items and hard inquiries. Don't waste your time or money with Self.

In the beginning I was nerves but as time went by it was the best thing I ever done. It help me so much. I've told many people how this had help us. Whatever you need to help build up your credit SELF is the best.

I started this about 2 years ago and it was great at first. However when going to close both my credit builder and self credit card I ended up having issues. I was told it was closed and almost a year later I get an email saying I'm still being charged and they are not doing anything to fix it. If I would have known this 2 years ago then I never would have started it.

Self, the company that apparently steals people's money and says they care about your credit score as they outsource their support to the Philippines. Maybe Self should just take their business their as well. If your pro USA then don't give Self your business!
