This is my first claim with Select home. It didn't go smoothly at all as somehow communications were getting lost between them and the vendor. It took a number of tense phone calls until I got hold of Jeremy. He stayed on the line with me until we had a 3 way conference call going between him, the vendor and myself to verify they were finally receiving the work order. From there on out everything went very smoothly. The vendor they sent out, Door Pros, was absolutely top notch. Very professional and fixed my issue in a matter of minutes with no ups or extras. Although the experience started out somewhat rough, I'm very satisfied with the final outcome and somewhat relieved to know I made a good investment in Select Home.
Ray exercised Proper Profession work Ethics, Presented the company with Integrity and what it delivers. I explained my needs and limited resources as a Senior Citizen. Ray informed me of a great package that suits my needs. I read a few "negative" response from recent reviews posted this year(2020), I hope Select Home Warranty has taken the time to read and review their concerns or comments.and made some improvements. I'll be the judge to that when my time comes for service(s). Over all, Ray was cordial, helpful, attentive, and friendly; Great Customer Service etiquette.
This business is ABSOLUTELY terrible. I would not recommend them to anyone. I have been without hot water for 3 months now and they have not made one follow up call or followed up with any of the technicians they sent to my house - oh after a $75 service fee several times. Problem was never resolved on their end. When i call and ask to speak with a manager, there is never one available. Makes it more frustrating when every customer service person you speak with, isn't american and they read from a script. USELESS! Don't waste your money. Endless amount of time wasted on this company.
I purchased 2 warranty plans, one from my primary residence and a rental property. The level of customer service and transparency in pricing was amazing and astonishing. I would definitely continue to do business with this company.
Received call after requesting a quote online. Was given several different options and was not pressured to purchase the highest plan or payment offered. Very polite and explained everything. So far, I'm happy. Will review again if I have to file a claim.
This is my first year with Select home warranty company and requested three repairs. They declined all three. Counter top microwave (expensive one), cooling issue in summer and now heating isdue. Every time, we had to pay $100 as up front tech fee/visit fee as per contract, but they declined repair each time on the grounds that you don't have three year service records. All this process took each time 2-4 weeks for getting a NO answer. This company is a scam. They have 11 five star reviews on their website, probably all by themselves. Please do not waste your time and money with this company.
I had a great experience with my sales rep UNTIL I paid for my policy then nothing but the run around and ignoring me. TONY G promised me things that he has yet to deliver, and when I reached out to him, crickets. Now I have called the company for clarification and for my issue to be fixed, and I am on hold for 47 mins with no resolution and nothing being done to help me. I even have screen shots and emails to back me up. All my items I wanted on the policy are not on there, even though he charged me extra for them. No need to follow up with me, I asked to cancel, they said they would look into it. DONT USE THEM, ITS A SCAM AND A LIE.
I bought this some time ago and today I had to make my first call about a broken dishwasher. The agent was very courteous, efficient, and assured me a repair person would contact me within 48 hours. I'm feeling confident right now!
They just keep you busy on the phone, ruin your days off work, and ultimately provide you with no solution and close the claim without letting you know. What kind of Service is this? I made a mistake by enrolling in their warranty plan. For the last 15 months approximately I have been paying; at the time when I need service, they just start putting excuses. I would not recommend this company to anyone and be a victim of them. I learned my lesson. Thanks
I searched multiple companies and Select offered the best deal by far with the most options and comprehensive coverage, including free roof leak coverage which competitors charge a lot more for. Signing up was fast and easy, and Jon answered all my questions about transferring the contract to the new buyer when the sale closes. Would highly recommend.

The company do not meet their contractual commitments. They have customer service staff place you on eternal holds and hang up on you to avoid taking calls to management.
They mis quote their own chosen contractor companies to avoid paying claims.
They inform their own chosen contractors they should "over charge" clients and "take the money" in the event that repairs do not meet the minimum call out charge amount!
This is my first and last home warranty and I hope for all concerned Select is not an example of the standard in this industry.

The worst company to deal with. They will twist the claim to be able to deny coverage. You can't speak to any intelligent person! There customer service must be in India and they are very unhelpful. My recommendations is run away as fast as you can. Don't waste your money. Refused to pay for ac repair and had been with them for over 2 years save yourself some grief get another home warranty company!
I just signed up with this company and it has become my worst nightmare, they wont return calls, expect you to find your own technician and reimburse in 30 days, I put in a claim 2 weeks ago to get my washer fixed still waiting.

Paid this company for 21 months never filed a single claim. My AC unit was not hitting the set point on the thermostat. I filed a claim, and the repairman that select sent out didn't even put a cage on the HVAC system. He said it might have a Freon leak and might be low a pound or two. So he called select home warranty or authorization and they said no we're not covering anything. And by the way we're going to charge you $100 for doing absolutely nothing. I Paid my $75 cancellation fee and cancelled my contract. Telling all my friends and neighbors just what kind of company they are, highly recommend you keep looking for a good home warranty company I know there are much better out there than this company.
They have turned down every thing I have asked them to fix. Thank God I did not fall under Sean's great sales spell. I only bought one year and talked him down a few hundred dollars. He almost had me at a three-year plan, but I said no. Thank God. My water heater went out over the holidays, and if this isn't an oxymoron, they said we do not cover leaks leading to your water heater going out, L O L. Crooks and when you have a claim, you are talking to India. Do not use them, it's better to just donate your money to the needy.
Well, everybody knows that insurance matters a lot especially in case of home insurance. I believe that every human being who buys a new home or any kind of accomodation should visit special insurance companies right away in order to keep calm and never bother about some unpleasant situations. I acquired a new home and decided to take out an insurance because for me, safety of my house prevail over other things. So, I applied to this company and they provided me with all conditions concerning the process of taking out and insurance and I took it out quite fast. Great company with real professionals.
Recently I spoke to Lola about getting someone to look at my ceiling fan. It didn't take 24 hours before she got back in touch with me about my problem. I will be getting another one since it can't be fixed. Safety is my main concern. I am happy how this situation turned out. Select Home Warranty did what they said they would do. Lola was very helpful and I was able to understand her which is very important.

Answer: After filing 5 claims, and one tech that wanted to pad his pocket resulting in me fixing my own leak in a toilet at my expense after paying their tech. And another tech wanting to get my pool setup for summer at150. More than I already gave for deductible she didn't fix my pump or water line to my pool. Both denied by select home Warrenty. And 3 more that I paid their techs for then had to fix it myself. Now my freezers compressor is out and they took money out of my bank account without my permission after saying they would go ahead and fix the freezer well guess what they declined it. And said it wasn't covered when in the contract it says it is. List all meat and others because of 3 weeks if waiting for them
