I ordered dinner using Seamless at 4:30 in the afternoon and requested a 7 pm delivery. At 7:00 I got a notice that it would be delivered at 7:30. At 7:30 the delivery time was updated to 8:15. I called the restaurant and my dinner was there and waiting but a driver never showed up. I called Seamless and they eventually agreed to cancel my order. I will never use them again!
My friend from out of town ordered me a pizza for my birthday. Driver supposedly called, and emailed (no missed calls or emails)... when I called the customer service desk, they said "oh sorry driver waited 20 minutes and didn't hear anything he left". I asked for driver to come back. Customer service rep said unfortunately he cannot do that, we can give you 50% discount on next order. I said that isn't going to cut it, you need to refund my friend in the full amount... After much debate my friend finally got reimbursed, but the customer service agent could not tell me where the missing pizza went. Did we just buy a pizza for a rando delivery driver? Who knows! And so goes on the mystery of the missing pizza. Either way don't use this service they are terrible, and we will NEVER use them again.
The driver literally RAN from my door after ringing the bell - not just social distancing - a total run! I could see why after lifting the box. The entire contents fell through the bottom of the untaped, flimsy old box. There is no way he was able to carry this from his car, up the driveway and stairs without realizing that the box was problematic! My entryway tile and rug have shrimp sauce and food splattered all over! I didn't even make it inside before this happened! I tried to put my hands under for support, but that didn't help. The driver had to have had one arm completely under and the other hand under for support. In addition, we lost 1/3 of our order to the floor! I never complain about service, but this was so blatant that I wonder if he did it for a laugh! TOTAL MESS!
If you get locked out of your account it's impossible to get in touch with customer service - as you cannot connect with them unless you log in first but - if you can't log in then you're screwed and their stupid company will keep emailing you and there's no way to unsubscribe
This delivery service is absolutely horrible. I ordered online, my delivery was estimated an hour. About two hours later the online tracker says "delivered." the food was not delivered. I called Seamless and asked where my food was. The Seamless rep said they would contact my driver and see where they were. I get a call back 10 minutes later saying the order was never picked up and was cancelled. What the hell? Do not use this service unless you wish to waste your money and time to be disappointed and lied to!
Quick service and simple website and app to use. The selection of food is wide and the "popular foods" in each restaurant with pictures aren't fake pictures and recommendations so you just get something. Every time I ordered popular dishes they turned out AMAZING 10/10 no need to yelp every restaurant and dig through reviews! Less popular restaurants don't have a "popular dish" unfortunately
Placed an order with specific instructions, asking them to add a couple of things. There was nowhere on their site, a way or place where I could make the order adjustment. The only place I could do this was the special instructions. Of course they were completely ignored and when I contacted them they pushed it on to the restaurant and refused accountability. Told me that special instructions were only for things like adding ketchup, not adding avocado to my tacos...? I wanted to write a scathing review but it seems the whole world beat me to it!
I only use this service because the place where I work have an agreement with them. Luckily (after thousands of complaints from all the workers) they will opt out! Alfter that, I will never use this service again. So sorry Seamless but you have to fix your app and hire better drivers. I do not have a complaint about customer service though, whom I called many many times...
I've tried twice & I'm done. The first time part of my order was missing & zero utensils included (I was at a hotel & needed them). The second time, I applied discount code from first time & checked out for $37. I saw on an email later that I was charged an upcharge of $2 for my request of spicy mayo (I didn't authorize this charge after my card was initially processed!). My total was then $46 & some change. I called customer service to dispute the upcharge & the new total. After being on hold for 18 mins I was told I must have missed where I agreed to any changes if I typed under special instructions. And the discount code hasn't applied, but it should fall off in 24 hours. Yeah, let's hope that's the case! I'm done with this terrible company!
So this has happened a couple of times where my order didnt get picked by a driver and I kept getting messages about the delay and had to call the restaurant only to find out that my food had been waiting and no one picked it up. Seamless / grubhub seems to have a problem with letting the customer know that this is the reason for the wait and now a person has been waiting. Then what I'm suppose to take food that's been sitting stewing for 30 min to hour?
Next why cant they do like uber eats and allow you to tip after you see the service forcing me to tip then get a $#*!ty driver or no food at all they pocket their money and I'm stuck waiting on a refund. I'm one more chance "f" up from cancelling seamless like I did door dash.
Either the food gets late and no info is given or you are just left to wait for hours and hours whether it's an hour or two or three or four. There should be a system where the store doesn't have the item and they state or online and the money is automatically funded back to your card naturally. Is there a way to return my order such as water and such becsuse k only ordered because I wanted a certain item. However apparently you have to have a minimum amount spent to purchase which is just bull$#*!.
I have used Seamless occasionally over the last year with little complaint (i. E.: delivery person didn't follow instructions to access premises) but in recent months, this service has gone way down. The estimated delivery times are laughable, expect to add another 30-45 minutes to the wait.
This time around, there was a dispatch problem with the delivery person, which was only found out after I called Seamless when the online tracker pushed the delivery time back by 30 minutes. The representative said a new delivery person was dispatched and my order would arrive soon after. WRONG -- 10 minutes later, I get a text that the order was cancelled.
Seamless could not explain the error, only send a $5 coupon on my next order. My next order? You can barely get an appetizer with $5! Goes to show how much Seamless values its customers. They can consider themselves fired.
I do not understand how I even got click transferred to seamless when started my order. The order was completed, paid for, and confirmed. It was cancelled 45 minutes later. When I contacted the vendor I was told they have no relationship with seamless or GrubHub, and that my order was hijacked. They took my money knowing they had no right to it. They confirmed they refunded my money but their rationale for why the problem happened was B. S. Beware of seamless. I will call my card company and claim fraud. Order was on 5/29/20.
I waited for over two hours. After i have contacted their 'specialists" (that what they call themselves as they keep you on hold),
They informed that the restaurant misplaced my order (even though they had sent me a text message and an email that my food was being prepared). I rejected the offer to wait another hour for the food to be prepared and canceled the order, asking for a full refund, which they emailed me would be processed within 3-5 business days.
Absolutely unacceptable. I am filing a claim against them.
They used to be okay. Their service has deteriorated and continues to. This is an understatement. I had to write a review to co-sign the other negative / one star reviews. I have experienced many of the same things as the other reviewers. They dont value the customer / users.
I placed an online order for pickup at a local restaurant. When we picked up the food, we discovered that seamless had used a menu with a 30% upcharge that does not go to the restaurant. We were not informed of this. I find their practice deceitful. Next time, just call the restaurant.
They deliver food late most** of the time and when you call customer service they can only refund you. No empathy whatsoever. If i am waiting on my food for two hours you better give me some kinda compensation for it. One of the customer service agent even hanged up on me when I asked for refund for the food that arrived after 2+ hours. This business is a joke
Every time I tried to use the promotion coupons they sent by mail it fails. Every time I called customer service I got excuses and offer to send me another coupon for next time. I wonder if what Seamless is doing is legal. Don't count on the discount. Use a different service if possible.
Waited over an hour and a half for the food even though at first it said up to 20 minutes. Food was barely warm and soggy so you know it was ready way long before it was delivered. The food was also was tossed onto the doorstep, and just left there. The driver was rude as well.
Saw a promo of $12 off my first order. I signed up, received a mail with a code, saying that it would automatically be applied to my order. I placed a pickup order, went to check out and it said that it could only be applied to pick up orders, please change type. It was a pickup order, so I proceeded, and the code was not applied. I contacted them and went to pick up my order. I received a mail back saying that they had no record of me and asking me to send a screenshot. I did, and I keep getting mails that my case was updated, but there is no way for me to check and their online help dies not work. I'm done.
Answer: Absolute scam. Do NOT waste your money! They have a "tracking" system to show when your food gets "delivered" but when it shows "delivered" there's no delivery in site. Had to call them after two hours to find out they couldn't contact my delivery driver and then seamless decided my order never even made it to the restaurant. Still waiting on a refund. What a joke of a company.
