Clips worthless
May 24, 2021

I can pull the clips apart with little to no force. Don't buy if you plan on doing anything other than laying the cover over the boat. One rain (with cover poles inside), and the boat immediately filled with water due to not being able to pull the cover tight because the clips can't handle any pressure. I've only ever seen very old, worn clip, or very cheap clips fail so easily.

Horrible
May 18, 2021

Horrible, cover they promised would fit was not even close. So they still charged a restocking fee for their mistake. Horrible company, BEWARE and shop elsewhere.

Purchased a car cover that was 100% guaranteed to fit. Order *******7729. When the car cover arrived, it did not even come close to fitting and it ripped in the process. Cover is approximately 4' short. Refund was authorized, Return label issued. Tracking 1ZAF*******4630.

Tracking shows it was received back 4-23-2021, 20 days ago. After a few e-mails back and forth, no refund issued. Their return e-mails appear to be generic copy and paste response. Doesn't even look like they read the e-mail. Called Customer Service number, appears it's outsourced to India. The female on the phone stated someone would get back to me in 24 hours (sure) and I was only authorized for a 80% refund per their Refund Policy due to being a return, although they have a 100% Fit Guarantee.

Claim filed with my bank.

Does not fit and will not exchange
May 13, 2021

The cover that I was sent has three issues. First, it does not snugly fit my car. It is too loose in the front and easily comes off in the wind. Second, the design has a thick rope to secure the cover under the car with a small lock. The center position does little to keep the cover on, particularly since the front end does not fit. It flaps in the wind and bunches at the rear of the car during windy conditions. This causes the small lock to scratch and scrape the side of the door. Third, I have a convertible top. The cover leaves thick white fuzz all over the car top. The photo shows residual fuzz after multiple cleaning attempts. Very unsatisfied with the purchase.

I contacted sealskin with their trouble ticket. Their 100% guarantee has loop holes and they denied an exchange or refund. I am active duty military and was away from my mail for more than 30 days. When I returned I applied the cover, noticed the issues, and contacted the company.

I received a note from seal skin that it was outside the 30 day window and all sales are final. Be wary and try a local company to find a cover. I now have a fuzzy blanket collecting dust and trying to get the lint off my car topper.

Since 2015 I've been through 2 pairs of jet ski covers for my 2 Yamaha Waverunners. Both leaked and would have several inches of water in the footwells after rain. I'm talking 4-5" after some rains, not just a little water.

The product claims to be "WATER PROOF" in all of the descriptions and marketing on their website. Mine was waterproof for about 2-3 months. I even recommended Seal Skins to a neighbor for their jetski and their's also leaked shortly after receiving it.

I did contact them. After they explained their product is "weather" proof, not water proof they sent me a second set of covers with me paying shipping. Now, after seeing all of the BBB online complaints now I wished those had popped up in Google search in 2015 as I would have never purchased these covers.

If you store inside feel good about buying Seal Skin. If you need outdoor protection go elsewhere and spend more to get a better cover. Personally I'm going the route to buy the more expensive Yamaha brand covers that are much better than this junk. Had those covers on an older set of jet skis. Good luck in whatever you buy.

Buyers Beware!

Ordered and received a top of the line outdoor car cover for my 2005 Crossfire Coupe. I only planned on using it for severe weather and put it on for the first time a few days ago because a hailstorm was moving in. I can't understand how they can call these a "Guaranteed Fit" when in no way does it fit snugly front to back, side to side with slack laying on the ground. I contacted the company and as of this writing, 5 emails, 2 worthless website chats (Alan & Mike), and a customer service phone number on the site that is no longer a working number.
On the first email reply to my concern that the cover was to big, this is what I was told " We saw you were unhappy with the fit of your cover and we're really sorry to hear that. Our covers are not custom fits, semi custom covers are the best fit at the best possible price but they're not perfect. Semi custom covers can generally run inches to a foot too short or too long but are an awesome option for someone looking for a good cover at a great price. These covers are waterproof and backed by full warranties. Fully custom covers is when someone comes out to measure your boat or vehicle. Those covers can take up to 8 weeks to make and are double the price!"
I feel like I've been fed nothing but lies and they have zero interest in my complaint about being comparable to a size 27 Mumu instead of a size 2. Keeping the bag cause I'm done dealing with them but ordered a set of wind gust straps from CARCOVERS.COM (which SealSkin apparently does not have) to hopefully take some of the slack out.
I seriously made a mistake assuming this companies "Guaranteed Fit" was an actual guarantee. Hell, I could cover my car with a painters tarp and probably get it to fit better than the cover for my Crossfire. Two big thumbs down

All around horrible company! I wish I would've realized that they only show the "featured reviews." You have to select to see all the actual reviews.

They ask you what boat you have, not what size you want so we're depending on them to send the correct size.

It was not even close to the right size, and it had no instructions.

It took days for them to respond.

They want to charge me a 20% restock fee on something that I was given no control or no option in.

Now the 80% I'm getting back will take 30 days to be refunded to me.

HORRIBLE COMPANY, AVOID AT ALL COSTS! $10 home depot tarp is the better option.

It's hard to see in this picture but there's no tension to this top so this top is useless.
This is way to long so there was no tension so I had 3 ft of water inside my boat.

Toyota Tacoma
April 12, 2021

I recently purchased a seal skin cover for my 2017 Tacoma double cab. I can say that the covers are very well made. But my problem I'm having with it is every time it rains the bed of my truck fills up with water causing the cover to be strained by the xm antenna which led to it ripping. When I put in my warranty claim I was told the problem would be addressed several phone calls later. So 35 dollars later I received a new cover, exactly the same as the previous one. So I guess I will continue dumping the water out of the back of my truck until this one rips too. Then we will see if they will "addressed " the problem again.

Had it one week. Cover kept blowing of in 15 mph winds, even though I had the two side grommets bungeed to the vehicle. Sent product back asking to install a grommet in the front and back. They said they would refund my money minus %20 for shipping.

Awful
April 7, 2021

I ordered a cover most people seemed to like them and there is a warranty. Well the one we got didn't fit well at all it too 2 of us to try to get it to cover the whole car, which it doesn't. Definitely NOT a tight nice fit. I emailed heard nothing emailed again and nothing. Then made a comment on FB 2 times someone messaged me on FB saying they help and to send my order number I did this twice and never heard anything back. Their customer service is Awful! And the product wasn't great either. Avoid buying!

I do like the quality of the cover. However, the fit is far looser than expected. A less than strong breeze and it's gone.

Not good
April 3, 2021

Has to be the cheapest ever I've ever had for my truck. This is the second cover it doesn't fit right to Big then they send you one that's too small then they don't want to deal with you because they don't know what they're doing. The material is cheap very thin be careful they will rip real easy. Use California Car Cover you get the same cover but for about $70 cheaper. California car covers very helpful in there nice they don't tell you I'm sorry we can't help you because they figure out what the problem is to where this seal cover company don't give two $#*!s. Consumer beware these covers aren't what they say they are.

My children gave me a Sealskin cover for Christmas for my 2008 Corvette. When trying it on the cover was too short and kept popping off of the nose of the car. Obviously too small. My son contacted customer service where they quickly dismissed his call and told him to submit a ticket. Two days later he received an email saying it was past 30 days so we're basically stuck with a worthless cover. He was also told by the rep that since these are not custom covers they are often up to 12 inches short, so I guess this makes it ok to screw over your customers. Additionally, my kids paid for the supreme all weather cover, however, the lining material which touches the surface of the car is not the same finish as is shown in the add promoting the quality of the product. My cover simply has a generic fleece lining which looks cheaply made. It looks as though it's no better than the cheapest cover they sell. BEWARE, Don't buy from this company.
