Good experience getting bullion. I got everything as expected. It was easy to navigate the website to find what I was looking for. I like the variety and can't wait for SD bullion to get the Tim and Yankee Stacker coin out! Thank you! I'm also guessing what the next commander is for the commander series and looking toward to finding out if I'm right. SD bullion is on YouTube and glad to see the interest to answer questions and talk with the community on there.

My 3rd order

My best friend put me onto SD Bullion because of his many years of buying from them. He claims that they are honest, have the best prices, and each order is handled perfectly. My experience so far is the same and I intend to buy from only them until something would change. That's a good reputation to have.

SDBullion has shady business practices. If you pay extra for expedited shipping and FedEx misplaces the package for a while, SDBullion won't refund the extra fee you paid for expedited shipping. Don't recommend using this company...

Buyer Beware

Buyer beware! They don't stand behind their products.

I purchased 1 brilliant uncirculated (BU) coin and 4 very good (VG) coins. The "BU" has rim damage, very little original luster, and deep scratches. One of the "VG" coins is cleaned, 2 of them have an outlined design/missing rim details.

Emails asking for assistance were given dismissive responses and a manager on their call hotline was unwilling to even receive pictures of the coins in question.

Apparently, their merchandise is "graded by third party sellers" and they "have no control over the quality of merchandise".

Thank you for your feedback! Bullion coins tend to have minor imperfections from the manufacturing process. This has no impact on the value of the bullion. If you are a collector looking for flawless coins I would recommend purchasing graded MS70 or proof editions of the bullion coins. Proof coins are inspected by the mint for quality of strike and for any flaws.

We are sorry to hear you are not happy with your order. Your satisfaction is guaranteed on all orders placed at SD Bullion. If you are not satisfied for any reason, you have within 3 business days after receipt of shipment to notify our customer service team via telephone at (800) 294-8732 or email at sales@sdbullion.com.

If an exchange is requested, we reserve the right to send an acceptable replacement or refund your money if an acceptable replacement is not available. The items must be returned as they were sent to you—in the original packaging and original condition. Due to insurance restrictions, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning any items for refund or exchange. We will cover the cost to ship the exchanged product back to you. The decision to refund or replace your item will be at the sole discretion of SD Bullion.

Returned products (excluding the SD24K line of products) are subject to a 5% restocking fee or $35, whichever is higher. Returned products from the SD24K jewelry line are subject to a 10% restocking fee. All returned items could also be subject to market loss based on SD Bullion’s sole discretion.

Bad Customer service

I used to love your company but resent experience with you customer service has proved to me that you talk a good game on these videos and with you cards in shipping boxes but when it comes down to it, you are more interested in making money first. And all this revolves around $65 out of $10,000 I have spent. Now I will not do business with your company and am sure to tell everyone I can how you really treat customers. See order #*******. I also notice you do not have a physical address where I can send you a hand written letter explaining my discontent only emails where you can ignore.

Didn't receive the silver I ordered
September 4, 2023

I ordered silver that was not delivered. When I called I was treated very poorly and rudely by staff. I sent them almost $5500 and its been 25 days and I have received nothing, no help, no resolution just some excuses with their fraud department. I will be contacting the federal trade commission and the consumer financial protection bureau tomorrow to report this as fraud. I have ordered gold/silver many times but not from this company. Buyer beware! SCAM! Dr. Harper

Ordered 2 royal mint una silver bars ( 10 oz) limited edition, paid $622 3 weeks ago, items in stock at the time order, never updated status. Called and placed on hold forever! Items now out of stock and will only allow exchange for lowered value bars and will not refund the difference in value ( silver is down form time of order in addition bars ordered now are not premium limited edition bars! Very rude an unethical company!

Always Buy Local

I bought $100 Face Wash quarters. They mixed 200 fair/good coins with 200 EF/AU coins. When placed in plastic coin tubes there 15 coins short. I called Frank at Cus Service, no help. I will be buying local from here forward.

Deceptive advertising
November 13, 2023

I bought $4000 on gold earlier this year from as bullion and it took forever for it to come. I also had a problem with the cancellation of some silver that I had bought. I did not know until the end of the transaction, that it was really only one coin that was discounted. They threaten to take me to collections, and in the end, I paid them almost $200 and got nothing in return. I asked if I could use it towards the purchase of other products and I was denied. The first phone conversation I was told all fees would be waived, but they continued to send me letters telling me I was going to be sent to collections. I typically spend between 10 and $15,000 a year on precious metals and will be doing business with anyone, but them.

We have cancellation fees because this is a live market business. Submitting an order through the website or by phone requires the customer to agree to our full terms of use, including SD Bullions order cancellation policy. Cancellation fees are an industry standard. Because we operate in a live market, once an order is submitted it becomes a locked trade. Your products are moved out of our inventory and held for you, and we hedge our price based off the market price at the time you submit your order. Because of this, cancellation fees are calculated as 5% of the order total or $35, whichever is greater, plus any applicable market loss.

Testing Testing SD Bullion

Over the past few years, I have been on again, off again, in precious metals - mostly local - acquisitions. I decided to try online shops. This is my first order from SD Bullion, placed mid-July. To be clear, I also placed "first" small orders at various other dealers to compare and contrast the transactional elements as a buyer. I will say that SD delivered excellence, per their reputation, on every metric important to me: price, quality, speed, ease of use, and customer service email followup. SD will be an important and regular part of all my future PM considerations.

The Best!

This company as compared to the other "BIG' companies is in my opinion the low price leader. They charge for shipping ( no free $99 and over) but there is a way around that. They offer free shipping by choosing one item from their free shipping included menu. Include the one cent item on your order and the entire order ships for free. I am into Junk silver as it is quoted but everything used to 90% "JUNK". Oh well. Service is prompt!

Awful experience

I placed two purchases on line two days apart. I mailed checks to reduce the credit card fees. The first order they did actually send. But it took nearly 3 weeks to arrive. The second order never came. A month after I placed the order they sent me a demand for $500 because they claimed they never received the second check. The $500 was service charge - their fee for loss of a sale. They made absolutely no attempt to resolve the problem. The company has fully automated systems. They could easily send out an email after 5 days saying they had not received the check and give the opportunity to pay by credit card over the internet to avoid the service charge. Nope. Too profitable for them to say the check was 'lost in the mail.' More likely it's in a drawer where they put checks when they don't have supply to fill the order. Horribly bad business model in the electronic age. Never using them again.

Prior to cancellations, SD Bullion will reach out to the customer. Prior to cancelling this order, our team reached out on October 7th and October 13th about not having the check. An automated email also was sent, notifying the customer of the possible cancellation if we do not receive payment. Because there was no response, the order was cancelled.

Your BEST BET for precious metals!

There are many sites online that want your gold and silver business--many of them (particularly those with a huge advertising budget allowing them to buy celebrity endorsements) are very poor choices that pressure you into buying overpriced, over-hyped coins that are no more valuable than generic bullion. That is not the case with SD Bullion. While you may not find the biggest selection at SD Bullion, you will consistently find what you are looking for at far better prices than those high-pressure dealers. Avoid the disappointment and buyers' remorse by going to SD Bullion for your precious metal investments.

Got cheated!
May 9, 2023

I ordered a bag of half dollars, should have been 200 coins, only received 199 coins and one of those stuck to a magnet. Sd bullion customer service refuses to make it right, they offered me a fifteen dollar coupon. What a joke. I won't be spending thousands of dollars shopping with them. Obviously they can't be trusted.
