These guys are crooks. I sent them a bank transfer for a satellite phone because they said they could not accept a visa payments. They subsequently went bankrupt and did not send me the goods.
It turned out that they had a large unpaid debt with Visa which is why they could not accept a visa payment, so they knew they were going bankrupt and fraudulently made me make a bank transfer to them.
Unfortunately the list of creditors was so big that I never saw my money back. They just opened a new company in the sons name, go figure!
I would never place a order with this business again. In February of 2016 I ordered a GPS tracking system from them. They shipped it through FedEx and the driver apparently delivered it to the wrong apartment building in.my complex. Therefore I never received my order. FedEx offered to reimburse me but they said the shipper who was Satphonestore had to file the claim. The representative for Satphonestore refused to help me file that claim which meant I was at lost for the money I paid them. That's why I will never do business with them again. Customer service is very poor when it comes to lost or stolen shipments.
My company had an account with them and we were always in good standing, in fact they had a card on file and all my contact info. For billing. We rented a phone in 4 / 2017 for a job when our other phone was in use on another job. Paid upfront and returned the item on time. We received no bill for additional airtime until 19 months later.
19 Months after the phone was returned they send us a bill... I immediately call them asking why they waited 19 months. They claim they sent a bill sooner... they DID NOT! They had my card, address, phone, email. All on file. So I dispute the charge. They do not reply until 4 months later. Saying they will turn us over to collections.
I disputed the bill due to the length of time they waited to send the bill, but paid it after arguing with a very rude collections person from their company.
AVOID THIS COMPANY! Their billing practices are poor at best,
We rented a phone to provide access in the event of an emergency. It failed to function in numerous attempts. We survived, but to make things worse, customer service would not acknowledge the faulty equipment and issue a refund.
I had to leave boat before SIM card activation confirmed. Red light was still on. I was told that it would take extended time but had to leave. Wont know until Friday when I return if activation done. This process needs to be speeded up.

Eddie Gonzales was a great help in choosing a satellite communications device. As a neophyte, my knowledge base was limited. I received attention 'over and above' in selecting both a device and a service plan. Well done SatPhoneStore!
About the only thing this company are good at is snipping your credit card.
Once again the satphonestore have proved to be absolutely useless in terms of customer support.
We spent over $500 on phonecalls from Noumea to try and get them to re-activate the sim card properly, despite being charged for the re-activation and the airtime bundle, it has all been to no avail.
The Iridium GO has not managed to connect to a satellite since they de-activated our sim without warning.
At one stage the support person asked if we could move ' a couple of blocks away' and if we 'had any tall trees' at our location, this while we were on a yacht at sea! Indeed they appear to lack any practical product knowledge at all.
Despite still having a support enquiry logged with them we have had no communication from them since we left Noumea.
It astounds me that a company such as satphonestore that is supposedly leading edge in comms can be so appalling in actually communicating with their customers.
When initially ordering the Satphone it was made clear to them that there was a time constraint with the delivery time. Even after various phone calls and emails questioning as to whether the unit would have been delivered on time, and assurances that it would, it was delivered late which meant that there was no one there to pick it up. It became very complicated after that in that I had to get someone to send the unit back to the store whilst another one was shipped to me in Hong Kong. I must say, the action to deliver the second unit was very prompt and arrived 3 days later at no extra cost to me. The experience was very frustrating and somewhat stressful.
I used their air time for a year or so and never actually used the phone. I attempted to cancel due to the lack of use and contacted them on May 31 or June 1 to cancel (I cannot find a clear record) on June 2 I received an early am email that I had to click on a link to "officially send in a cancellation request form" and I did. Due to their additional steps they snuck in a June billing on June 11 out of my American Express card. I called and emailed to try to get it reversed and they absolutely refuse due to the fact I didn't cancel on June 1. Since I had their additional steps a day later they said I cancelled too late and have the right to bill me for June. BEWARE
While the price for the Sat TV Dome I bought from the SatPhone Store was the lowest I could find, the sales people need to know their products better. I specifically asked if everything I need to get Direct TV on my boat was in the box and was assured that was the case. After receiving my product and reading manual I still have to buy an additional receiver to make the unit work on my boat. All they had to do was provide me with this info and I would have happily purchased what I needed from them. Needless delay and hassel.
Process has been easy so far but activation is taking ages. I have installed the sim and turned on the device and 30 minutes later it is still searching
I wish the instructions for setting up your service was simplified. But otherwise once I got it working is easy to use.
A truly wonderful company to deal with! Follow up is terrific and individualized to your needs. Highly recommend!
