Once upon a time Rue was a friendly service with great offers on interesting and note worthy (clothes, furniture, housewares). Ordering and returns were easy & the Concierge staff accessible and helpful. No longer. They are not customer focused and were willing to lose me (a frequently and long term customer) over $30. I placed an order for an LV bag, a pair of shoes, and Fendi sunglasses. My bank sent me a message to ensure that it was not fraud on my card and I approved the charge. I saw the charge drafted from my account. I go to look at my RueLaLa account 8 days after purchase to see when my items would ship because I had not received any shipping information, only to find out that my order was canceled. After going through three different live chat reps, I find out that it was either flagged as fraud, they were unable to verify my information, or because I was using multiple cards on my purchase. If my bank approved the charge, the items are coming to my home using my debit card associated with my home address, what about this flags as fraud or an inability to verify information?
Customer service was terrible, extremely slow, and provided no input to how this happened. And to top it off, all the items are no longer available.
I've placed several orders on RueLaLa, ranging from hundreds of dollars down to twenty bucks. I would say they're batting about 500, maybe slightly more. I've ordered four things all the same size, and had one come as a size larger. Ordered a ring and they sent the wrong one. Ordered sunglasses and they sent used one. But I've ordered several things and had them come with no issues. Customer service is... okay. Not stellar, but also not awful. Maybe because I signed up for The Rue 365? I don't know. I would recommend not making a large purchase as your first purchase and see how the experience goes for you.
11/24/20 Update - I've received a few items listed as "new" that either are not new, or are returned items. Two of them have been sunglasses (Tom Ford and Prada) that have smudges and/or oil (from someone's face) on the lenses. If you've ever bought a pair of sunglasses you know that they should be pristine. I E-Mailed them about it and have yet to get a response. I'm downgrading my rating from 3 stars to 2.
This place sucks a big fat one! I ordered a 6 tier pot rack for my dad's big day on July 4th. Been waiting on it to deliver and called customers service just to find out they cancelled my order due to fraud! I was upset and asked her why? Because my billing info and shipping info didnt match. Its not supposed to if your shipping product to surprise someone for a birthday gift! I told her that's why there's a place for billing info and shipping info they both dont necessarily need to match as long as the info is right. Well she told me again it was fraud! So now my dad isn't getting his gift cuz of this stupid place that cant even get there $#*! right! Dont recommend this site to anyone stay away! VERY POOR CUSTOMERS SERVICE!
Horrible service! I'm from Canada. I was so excited to see no duty fees on my order, when I was shopping. I ordered clothes for $1200. Delivery was nice and smooth. I wanted to return one item out five I ordered.

I wish I read those reviews before shopping with them. The longest shipping process ever, even during COVID period. I shopped from China, it took 7 days and it was not express. I shopped from New York and it took 5 days UPS! I have placed my order on 6/5 and today, 6/24 still no show. The items where shipped from the US. The customer care person said to me, there is nothing he can do! Oh boy. Really not smart as a business practice. People will keep away from them just like keeping away from a plaigue. I contacted Ruelala to return and get a refund or credit and I was told that I would get &15 instead of $39.99. I asked why and they said because they ate not accepting returns. I order on January 17,2020 a pair of glasses instead they sent me rain pants. I had to return the pants and the glasses were not available anymore. I requested a refund and today is February 21,2020 and i still have not received it. The operators read you the same script every time i call. Terrible service i will never use or recommend Rue La La
Ordered a watch and Spanx Jean-ish 0 both in one order, same order number, but they were shipped separately.
When the items arrived, way later than supposed to arrive the watch had a different color and the Spanx were larger than usual.

This morning I woke up to an email notification from FedEx that I was getting a package from Rue LaLa, and I was perplexed because I did not order anything from them on Dec 31,2019. Anyway, I immediately removed my credit card information from Rue LaLa. I notified my credit card company of a fraudulent purchase because I know that I did not purchase anything from Rue Lala. Nevertheless, I contact Rue LaLa about the item that was purchased. I just received an email from Rue LaLa saying I placed the order, and I know that I did not. They informed me that I viewed the item at some point and wanted the garment but was not in stock, and apparently, the g came in, and they never notified me but instead charged my credit card. I would never order a dress from Rue LaLa for $250.69.
Moreover, this item was $250.69, a brand that I don't buy. I don't usually order from Rue LaLa unless it's from Trendy by Wendy. Nonetheless, I did not authorize the purchase, and I am guessing they did not meet their forecast sale for FY 2019.
Anyway, if you have your credit card information in Rue Lala, remove it immediately. Moreover, it's apparent if you like something and it's not in stock when the item does come in Rue Lala will charge your credit card and ship the item to you regardless with no notification. I won't be shopping at this site again, not even Trendy at Wendy.

Saw a few items mentioned on the Wendy Williams Show and decided to check out the site. I should have gone with my better judgement and stayed away. Maybe I've been spoiled by Amazon but this company is absolutely horrible to deal with. I'm a first -time (and last-time) customer. I ordered over $300 in products, all of which will arrive a different times because they come from different vendors. Ok, no biggie. My order was placed before Thanksgiving and some items will not ship until the week of Christmas. Annoying, but still no biggie. So first item arrives and considering its a metal canister of loose leaft tea, you would think it would arrive well packaged in a decent box, no, it arrived in a ups flat box, thank goodness it didn't get dented (part of a gift). A few days later the next item arrives, only it didn't. Let me explain. I ordered some hair perfume (another gift), came home to a padded envelope that was on my porch but there was a hole in it where it was obviously ripped open. I know no one came on my porch because I have a motion cam. The package was thrown on porch. So somewhere between the vendor and FedEx, the fragrance was taken out. Notified delivery company as well as Rue, surprisingly Rue offered replacement. They then followed up advising the item is no longer in stock and advised i will be refunded. I looked on site and it shows item still in stock. Same day, I received an email advising that a dress I ordered is no longer available and the order has been cancelled and I will be refunded. So now I am getting annoyed and I decide to just cancel everything that has not been shipped. I go through online chat, agent is pleasant but states there is only one item that can be cancelled at this time (this was item due to ship week of Christmas), everything else is on the way. They also offered a $20 credit for the inconvenience that I don't even plan to use. I asked the agent about the hair perfume availability. She confirmed its out of stock but could not explain why the site shows it is still available.
All of this to say, save you time and don't shop on this site. It is a nightmare. You know how it is, see A clothing item you like online, take your measurements to order the correct size based on the designer. A lot of the items were holiday gifts and now I'm just hoping they show up. I like to online shop because I'm a pretty busy person and love the convenience. This site is definitely a NO for me.

Not sure what happened to Rue La La. I was a member for over 10 years, and they had wonderful customer service, however, my latest extremely negative experience caused me to cancel my membership.
I had an issue with an order. I called 6 times. I emailed 4 times. Nobody could resolve it. I spent close to 2 hours of my time, mostly on hold, trying to get assistance. I spoke with a supervisor, and when we were disconnected, she didn't bother to call me back.
They gave me an incorrect number of the company the purchase was from, to speak directly. I finally got the correct number through an internet search and the company was lovely and helpful, unlike the incompetence I encountered at rue la la.
There are great deals online found easily these days, no need for Rue La La.
I have canceled my membership and will NEVER buy through them again.
Having read all the negative reviews re Rulala I was very concerned regarding my order. I needn't have been. Today I received a genuine product, correct size, no issues at all. Rulala representative, s were available when I called re my order both were very helpful, I was calling from Ireland. I can honestly say it was a good experience and I will order from them again.
