I received a large box of parts but not my hood. "Customer Service" said I have to wait for an investigation that can take up to two weeks. I contacted the carrier and they said they didn't deliver it to my house nor did they get it from rock auto. They took a picture that shows I don't have the hood. Why do I have to wait as a paying customer? If I knew it was going to take over 3 weeks for me to get my parts I would have ordered them from somewhere else! "Customer Service" doesn't even keep you updated even though they have your money and you can't cancel your order
I was a long time customer but that ended today. You pick your delivery method and then no tracking information for a week. Took a week longer then the already one week shipping time. That extremely poor customer service especially when you can buy from Amazon and Ebay with free shipping in most cases. They act like they don't care. My money will be spent elsewhere.
Extremely unprofessional company. As I write this review I have been waiting for 2 weeks for a part. When I contacted customer support, in short, they told me to get lost. And this isn't the first time I have had an issue that was dismissed because they tried to put the blame on me.
Ordered and paid for parts. Tracking showed label printed, on 23 miles from my home. Package shows in USPS and enroute. 3 days now no tracking update no way to cancel order and just buy items locally. It's Friday and won't hear from rockauto or usps until next week. I'm done with rockauto. You can not contact them
Well I ordered some valve cover gasket set only got the gasket a lot of other parts was missing and they will not sent out the miss parts this place is a rip off who can you sale something and have a picture of it and a lot of parts are missing 18 rubber grommets and 6 spark plug tube seals that's listed on the box
I think there was my last order here. Until today I have ordered many spare parts and had no problems.
I ordered lower control arms for the left and right sides, I open the package and there is a damaged part and after installation on another car. I understand that there are no options for returning this part because they will say that I installed it by myself.
RockAuto lacks quality control. I was sent brake calipers with brackets that didn't fit the listed vehicle. Because the calipers fit and I needed to have brakes on my car ASAP, I installed the calipers and then informed RockAuto that the brackets were too small. I was trying to help rectify a listing problem but ended up just wasting my time by writing 5 emails and sending photos proving that the parts were incorrect, because RockAuto did create 2 service tickets, but both of them were closed without warning without resolution. Know that the same wrong parts are still being sent to other customers.
I have been a loyal Rock Auto customer for many years. Recently I have two issues that I was unable to resolve since they do not have anyone you can talk with, email or live chat. The first issue involve parts that did not fit my car. The most recent issue is a problem with a Y-pipe /catalytic converters I purchased. Since installing the part, I have a converter performance code. This was not there prior to the installation. The website only allows me to pay for a replacement ($300). Once they receive the part back they will refund my money if they find it is defective. There site says this is rarely the case. They have screwed me over for the last time.
Its not just bad customer service there is no customer service at all. I ordered a 600 dollar turbocharger and one of the hoses was torn when I received it. I tried contacting rockauto and they said they don't do customer service over the phone. I have never heard of a company that doesn't do customer service over the phone. How can you get an issue resolved if you can't contact them? Am I supposed to just return the part? Its incredibly heavy and shipping would be about 70 bucks. So I contacted the manufacturer and I'm waiting for them to call me back. Maybe they'll be able to help me. I just can not believe that rockauto doesn't have a customer service number. I will never do business with these people again.
Bought a ton of parts off these dummies till they got me for $3400 dollars worth of parts the engine tech lifters were horribly machined and cause damage wrecking the block and beaeings. So i tried dealing online and nothing after about 20 emails i said $#*! u rock auto and called my credit card company and opened a fraud case had my money back in 2 hours. Carry on with that bag of $#*!s there rock auto
They have sent me the wrong part on multiple different occasions, twice within past two months. Every time I have had to foot the return fee. They have no customers service phone line not even chat or an email to complain. If you are reading this because your thinking about using them don't you will regret it.
RockAuto has been my go to place for auto parts. It is simple to find parts, prices are half if not lower than big name stores, shipping is always on time. In three years and at least 20 orders, never had a problem.
This company has terrible, terrible customer service! I bought a fuel hose and it leaked. I tried calling RockAuto a dozen times, no one answers the phone, you just get connected to "a recorded service"... They will NEVER refund your money... don't bother ordering from them... products are cheaply made and hoses leak!
Ordered wheel bearings for car. Only 1 choice so figured had to be the right one. Was sent wrong wheel bearings as there are 2 different sizes. I paid 130 and am only getting 100 back cause they keep the 30$ shipping. I will NEVER EVER order from them again. No customer service. Have to do it all online. I don't understand how you're a retail company with no customer service it baffles my mind. Spend the extra money and buy some where else. That way if its wrong you can change out the part and not lose 30 f$cking dollars
You may get lucky and receive (soon enough) what you purchased…. My last order, however, arrived two weeks later, shipped DHL, which DHL wasn't showing any info on their website for about 9 or 10 days. Even with lower prices, this company is not worth! There's no one to talk to who can check on order, help out, etc
It said item in stick will be shipped in 2 days. I been waiting a week already with a passed off customer. Every day is tomorrow in regards to getting my order. On top of thst there's no phone number or anyone to talk to. Apparently once they take your money you are screwed. Very terrible parts company. Customers be aware of the shady stuff here.
Ordered in the past with good results, good prices. Now they've gone straight down the drain. Only customer "service" is on website and if you make a mistake there, you're screwed. No phone, no chat, no email. Last Twittter post looks to be about 18 months ago.
Replaced front and rear rotors and pads on 04 Lincoln Navigator
Pros: Great price, easy install, arrived in under a week. Oreilly wanted over $200 just for (2) rotors.
Cons: Shipping cost a little high because weight of four.
Had two sets of Monroe Quick Struts that were defective when installed. Rock Auto will not refund money. Only offer up third set of junk parts if I pay shipping. RockAuto has no customer support! What you see in their 90's website is all there is! No one to call or email if there's a problem. I've ordered dozens of times from RockAuto, and finally got burned to the tune of $323. That wipes out any savings I may have gotten from past purchases. I went with OEM parts from Honda instead. Anyone want some crappy Monroe Struts? My policy is the same as RockAuto - Buyer beware! You might as well be buying off of Craigslist!
Purchased a left and right front bumper cover support brackets for a 2016 Honda. Parts came in two separate boxes which I paid $9.85 for shipping. Parts weigh less than a half of a pound together. Parts are made in Twain have the correct part numbers but to not fit. They are about 2 inches too long. When I went to exchange the parts for the still needed correct parts, I had to pay $4.88 in shipping! For their mistake. Plus one part only cost $3.88, and during the return website process they will not take the part back or issue my refund because "the part cost less than the shipping cost." So they will not issue me a refund for it. If my local parts store had sent me the incorrect parts, I guarantee they would have given me a FULL refund and not charged me for the shipping! Typical online only company with no customers service.
