RockAuto as a bad price list. I ordered 4 tubes for GMC and they sent me the wrong one. No reimbursement possible. GM as the same listing but a different part and RockAuto won't give me back my money!
Ordered couple parts that were working and prices compared to other websites was also better but I just received the rear absorbers i Ordered from them and they were leaking oil. Blows my mind how the worker went through with packing them and sending them.
How in the hell can u get anything done without having a way ro contact someone? I'm trying to get a $300 core return and something got screwed up so now since i cant contact anyone in any way shape or form im gonna get screwed. I will never buy from rock auto again!
I ordered a carb kit. The accelerator pump was wrecked and missing a part in it. I don't have the original carb on my car so when they asked me to enter the year, make, model, it returned the info of "this part week not fit your car and is therefore can not be returned"
I don't want to return it, this is the correct one I want a new pump.
I ordered 2 of the same part for my truck. When the package came in there was only 1 part in the box. I clicked on the link in the email to start a dispute on my order. I got an email back very quickly asking what the issue was. I explained what happened and then they emailed back super fast. I had to send in pics of the packaging inside and out. Within an hour I had another email stating that my missing part was on it's way! I would recommend ordering any of your auto parts needs from Rockauto. I have been a customer for years and this is the very first time I have ever had a missing part so that goes to show how well their ordering system works!
I am a mechanic and frequently buy parts online to save money. I will never order from rockauto again. I got stuck with too many parts because they are very hard to get returns taken care of. There isn't any customer service either. So if parts don't fit there isn't anyone to help. I have been sent the wrong parts from what I ordered and had to eat the money. I recommend doing more searching for a more reputable parts dealer. I wish I would have.
I ordered an engine and transmission mount kit. The transmission mount would not accept the factory bolt because it was too long for the new mount. One motor mount was rusted out of the box and the other had a damaged seal and no hydraulic fluid in it. Reordered the engine mounts and received one good one and one that looked like it was stamped wrong at the factory. The dimensions were not even close. I just sent back for a refund and will never order from them again. Wish I would have read these reviews first.
I returned parts using their label and filled out the return page four times and they now tell me they didn't get the parts. Then they suddenly found one part but said that was all and it was and inexpensive part and the high priced ones just disappeared. Will never do business with them again as they are a bunch of thieves.
These guys started selling defective parts, their return or refund policy is unusable, they will ask you to return the item at your own cost to be eligible for a refund. Last time I received an F350 oil pan, it came dented and unusable, return shipping of this 15 pounds item was more than its price. CLOWNS!
This morning I have tried numerous (3) times to order parts, including using two completely different bank cards with each having much more than enough to cover purchases and for absolutely no reason or explanation the transactions were declined. I surmise that I now know the reason that Rock Auto doesn't have an Customer Service number, because they would be overwhelmed with complaints!
It's a good thing that I always take screenshots of all online transactions.
I have been ordering parts from rockauto for years. I was sent a wrong part, in the correct box. I filed a report, and that same day they picked, packed and shipped out a replacement. Talk about awesome customer service!
Always a great experience with Rock Auto. Everything you need is in stock, it ships fast and for a good price. I've bought a lot over the years from these guys and will continue to do so in the future.
First of all, I'm a female who knows nothing about cars. I purchased a part after putting in my cars information. Once I received the item and brought it down to the repair shop and they started working on my car they then told me it was the wrong part. It cost me 1/2 an hour in labor to be told this so I'm now out $50 because of Rock Autos mistake. The parts sent match up to a Ford truck- I have a Volkswagen car. I initiated the return and refund process, sent back the unopened package and had to pay return shipping even though rock auto advertises this part fits my car and it does NOT. I sent the return back. Originally they refused the package from the post office but then a few days later received it. They have had my return since September 5th, their website has said "will be inspected by September 8". They have had my return for 7 days. Buyers beware! They will send you parts that do not fit YOUR car and then who knows how long until you receive your refund
I ordered a part and mechanic couldn't fit me in for 30 days. It was front wheel hub assembly for an 07 Audi A6. The part only came with half of the assembly and no one to call and return couldn't be made. Warranty was denied. Tried everything. Can't find the other part that's needed for it so now I'm out of $200 and have to find the whole hub and pressed bearing part somewhere else. I'm furious. All of this could have been solved if they just had a customer service. Not even a chat. No one to help at all. I have cried for two hours as that's the last of the money I had.
No returns after 30 days. Stay away from these guys the parts don't fit and they want take them back. This is my second time dealing with these guys I am done. They want you to give them a credit card so they can charge you to speak with what they call technical support. I'm not buying a computer and why should you have to give a credit card to talk with someone? These people are scammers.
The prices seem really good before you order but after they have tacked on over priced shipping and handling and tax, its about what you pay at a local parts store. The biggest problem is customer service and returning parts. YOU have to pay to ship them back. They purposely don't list a phone number. They want you to email everything. Some of their descriptions are misleading and incorrect.
I received all the parts I needed, but paid $130 in core charges. I brought my vehicle to a reputable medium-duty truck repair place where they saved my cores for me to return.
NOWHERE was I told to retain the new part boxes to get my core fees refunded-- that info was news to me and only introduced when I started the core return process-- only a day after picking up my vehicle but long after the shop threw away the boxes.
Now I'm out $130 and I can only get about $25 back from local recyclers. I wouldn't be out so much if this policy had been clearly stated at checkout. And without a telephone customer service line, I'm extra livid. They know what they're doing.
I simply ordered a part that did not fit. I paid for the label and delivery sent the part back in its original box not damaged with a receipt provided by rock auto and before the 30 day return policy. This company took it upon they self to close my ticket kept my part and money. I sent proof and was totally ignored. And NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Everything is done by email makes it even worse because this company clearly can't read an email.
I ordered over $1,500 in parts for my 04 thunderbird, most came right but the few that didn't I'm finding trying to return them is more trouble then what the parts are worth to me, first you have to be a genius to understand trying to return more then one item with one shipping label so that you don't have to do the same crazy thing in my case about 5 different parts, then you have to answer numerous questions as if I decided I don't have enough crap in my life, you must go somewhere to have the label printed and that's where it ends for me, I'm not going to a place to have something printed out, pay a fee then go to another place and finally male them, this is just absolutely insane not being able to talk to anyone, I will not order anymore parts from rock auto, yeah the parts are decent and cheap but it's not cheap anymore when it's going to cost you a ton of time to return them and then wait for new wrong parts the second time! So yeah enough.
Over the last 5 years, I have never been disappointed in their parts. If you order the wrong part they still honor a return. I've had nothing but good luck with this company! I will continue as my first to contact... They are reasonably priced and quick to return if you ordered the wrong part! Than you Rock Auto!
