When Rockauto will be driven out of business?
This mickey-mouse outfit is getting better and better in what they are doing!
They've sent me a counterfeit parts (confirmed by the manufacturer) and then used every trick to keep the money.

My experience with Rock Auto so far has been terrible. I received the wrong part twice in a row. Even if the second one was correct, it's bent so badly that it wouldn't work.
Their website is a pain to use. The photos on their site do not match the parts received, the mobile version of their site has issues, and they also have no customer service via phone.
I will never be ordering from Rock Auto again.
I had an issue with rockauto as had the 1 million other reviewers who have left negative reviews. Stay away the lack of customer service and not getting my product the only solution was contacting my credit card company requesting a chargeback.
Absolutely miserable experience. I needed to substitute a few items from an order that hasn't been shipped yet, but due to the online-only very complicated system, I ended up paying triple shipping for the substituted parts. Emailed RockAuto, explained the issue but no resolution. Two reps responded over an exchange of several emails, but no refund. They pretend that they don't understand what you are describing. They try to point you to what you suppose to do and where to click instead of fixing the issue. Luckily, nowadays there is a number of competing online auto parts retailers that have call-in customer service and comparable prices.
Don't get caught up in RockAuto convoluted online-only system! You will end up paying more!

This useless crap store send me a fuel pump, here to Sweden. But somehow it left Sweden before I even was informed about it's arrival. According to the shipping schedule it was available for one our at my pick-up location. Not the usual two weeks.
When I emailed them they were very rude and they blamed me for every mistake they did, and they never payed back my money! When I asked for my money they stopped answering my emails.
I was shipped a clutch assembly kit for my vehicle which promised to be the correct part but upon receipt of the kit it was discovered that it would not fit.
After returning the kit to rock auto, my refund was $100.00 less than my purchase price. They're telling me they won't reimburse shipping costs because it wasn't their mistake.
Don't do business with these thieves, no matter what the cost is to find a real parts dealer.
Bought fuel tank straps for my car from them before checking their rating. Parts arrived and I took them to my mechanic to install. The mechanic found these were the wrong straps for my vehicle. He reshaped one of them to make it fit, taking extra time for which I am billed. The second one he did not bother with. Rock Auto's attitude was "sorry but we can give you no refund unless the complete package is shipped back to us" and they expect me to ship it at my cost of $35! Atrocious service! I will dispute the transaction with my credit card company and try to get 100% of what I paid Rock Auto back!
Bought a 4.7 for my Dodge. After replacing everything but the intake, intake isn't available anywhere, the engine smoked like crazy on start up. Put in a claim right then. After not even five minutes of run time. Factory called back and told me to run it. Well, 5000 miles later it blew. Now my three thousand dollar engine is worth a five hundred dollar core. And "customer service" refuses to do anything about it. Lesson learned.
After 3 hours of working thru the return parts forms it looks like the process will have to be redone for reasons I've yet to figure out. Incorrect brake pads + rotors for a Corvette are all this return were for! That's 8 parts in total. Left/right + front/rear. Not complicated. However, it's nearly $1000 in cost. At 56 years old & having shopped online since that became a thing I've seriously never seen a return process like this. I'll never order from RockAuto again simply due to the impossible return process.

Great customer service with a horrible approach as I can't email or call someone so if I want my $130.00 back I only get $126.14.
I Ordered tierod ends for my truck! This garbage website Sent me the wrong size! Trying to figure out how to return them is a chore! No call center and no one to help me explain why they don't fit the truck! I'll Never order from this place again, I used expedited shipping too there's another $100 I'll never get back plus they make you pay to return all their garbage parts to multiple warehouses! Skip this place at all costs! Photo shows the wrong "larger" part vs the correct "smaller part bought someplace else!
This is a great site. Fast shipping, lots of OEM parts at amazing prices. In fact, when my wife's car needed work done at a shop recently, their quoted price for parts seemed high. So I asked them if I could supply my own parts, and ordered them from rockauto. When I told the manager at the shop where I bought them from, he didn't even ask how much - "yeah, there's no way I could ever match them" was his response. Outside of little things I can get quick from my local parts store like bulbs, oil, filters and such, I use this site.
My idle air control valve was defective. I filled out their form and and it says "non-returnable" which is fine, but most places offer a new part instead. Nope. They essentially locked me out of that whole part of their website. There is absolutely NOBODY to call or email. I found corporate, called them. But, imagine that! There are no receptionists available to take the call. This website is a scam 100% and I don't know how they've made it this far. My part has a warranty, but I can't even claim it. They literally f*cked me. I hate to sound rude but they did. I have no vehicle now, do not give these guys any business.
Ordered parts. Never arrived. Not notified they were even in town. FedEx sent them back and we were never refunded. When talking to FedEx they told us there would have been an extra charge for shipping that we would have had to pay to get the merchandise. Emailed with customer service their response was the cost of shipping was more than the parts. We had to kiss $180 goodbye.
Their prices are cheap but one reason is that they don't give any technical support. First of all, there's no provision on their website for even asking a question and if you do figure out how to get in touch with them they know so little about what their selling that they can't tell you what color their black distributor caps are.
Another time they shipped me the wrong part in the right box. Their initial response was that return shipping was my responsibility because they didn't make a mistake. It was like pulling teeth to get them to agree that I didn't make a mistake either and their issue should be with their supplier.
I'm done with them.
There isn't enough space for this review, I got parts that didn't fit twice. First time because I was a day over the refund policy (horrible) they wouldn't refund. This time I caught them in time with rotors I was changing. Wrong size, too thick. They charged me to return and said they have to inspect. If rotor has any sign of being installed which it does you will not get a refund. Horrible scammers, because of grease on rotor they won't refund. Then want to charge to send it back! Don't waste your time! Go to local auto parts store! Trust me!
Ordered a part of 7/20/23, label through FedEx created immediately. As of 8/6/23 nothing changed. I wrote emails, no response. They had no trouble taking my money immediately. Place has gone right down the toilet!
If you order from Rock Auto, you may get the right part. Too often you will receive a box with paperwork that lists what you ordered, but the parts in the box will be something different. Then have fun with their fundamentally useless customer service people getting any resolution. THEN get ready to pay for the return shipping! Really!
Yes this company needs to be exposed so natural selection will drive them out of business.
Paid extra for next day delivery. Rock Auto took my money and shipped ground. Delivery delayed due to Rock Auto's negligence and incompetence. Weekend trip cancelled. Significant costs incurred. I would not have ordered from Rock Auto if they had not promised next day delivery. Incredible inconvenience. What a waste.
Parts came damaged and they charge for return shipping even if it's their fault, parts were damaged due to poor packaging. & then they tried saying it was our fault because we sent the item back in the same packing it came in, so they were not going to issue a refund and we had to dispute it threw our bank to get a refund. All these people do it scam. They are cheap and either sell broken parts as new or they are out to cut costs on packaging etc to make the most money possible. There is no customer care number by the way and nothing can be accomplished with online support unless your agreeing to return part for $35 shipping label they provide. Buyer beware.
