I have neve known a company that is so inept at renewing a subscription. Mine had renewed annually without incident for years until my card expired.
The new card was entered on the system but the system would not accept payment.
Every week I called and every week it failed to renew, followed by a week's free subscription during which time they would call to renew. They never did. Eventually, after several weeks of ringing every week, someone managed to take the payment. But the subscription did not renew. I emailed them to tell them this and the next day they cancelled my subscription and refunded most but not all of the money that I paid. Now I need to go through the whole process again.

I got 4 Ring Cameras as I was told support was good- how wrong that was! Support has been atrocious worst support I've ever had, just trying to get a new credit card logged in. Have wasted so much time with support person who didn't have a clue then told me I couldn't add in a new credit card lol how bad is that? Not a clue! If you're thinking of Ring cameras move on to next product to get better after purchase support

What a hassel

Constant issue. Purchased one device only to find out I had to pay for a plan. Ok, I guess I shouldn't have been surprised by that. Bought second device had to "upgrade" my plan of course more $$. Bought a 3rd and 4th Device and started getting messages my videos were not being recorded. Called 3 times to try to fix the issue. Never got it fixed. So now the devices don't record so as far as security I guess I have to catch someone in the act and take screen shots. I feel the goal of the company is to sell devices. They don't really care what happens after that.

I installed ring cameras with my husband and contact the customer service to deactivate the cameras or change the subscription that is under my name and was told they cannot help me. They also said that they cannot help me if someone is harassing me or reviewing the images on the camera for their benefits. Got broken into and could not pull up the video to provide the police because the account was under my ex. Asked if I will need to purchase a whole new system and was told they could not help me.

Anyone who comes to your home you will never be able to talk to. They are already gone. I am a beta site for Ring and I can never talk to anyone. I have moved a booster 3 feet from the unit an still can not talk to anyone who comes to the door. It is fake news.

I paid for Ring for one year in May. Worked great June my service got turned off. I called they said email a copy of your bank statement showing your payment and we will resolve the issue and get you back on. I did exactly what customer service told me to do. Never heard back from them. Never got my service. As of todate I have called and ask for help again always with a different person each time repeat my problem they tell me to do the same thing I have been doing since June and 12 calls and emails. Terrible company they taje your money and lie if you call for help.

Had an unidentified person and 2nd person driving a vehicle that approached our front door. I went to answer the door and they walked away immediately. I walked down the driveway and the driver backed down the driveway after seeing me approach. Definitely either a porch pirate (steals packages) or was checking to see if anyone was home and if the house was occupied. My wife tried to post the ring video of the person on the Ring website, but Ring said they would not post the video because it went against their company policy of not wanting to offend anyone and make false accusations. There is a reason why crime is at an all time high and these woke companies are making it worse.

I bought my ring flood light 11/2017 and supposed have a 1 year warranty but the support dept doesn't care to return emails... Even if they would i am sure they wouldn't honor their warranty. If you want real customer service and people who standby their product go to Kuna.com...

On August 31,2021 I placed an order on Ring's website. I paid $363.82 and the order confirmation they emailed to me that day stated that orders usually ship within 24-48 hours. It is now September 29th, a whole month later and I have not received my order. They haven't sent a shipping confirmation or anything. I have called them and sent emails to no avail. They totally ignored the 3-different emails I sent asking about my order. Not once did they respond. In addition, I called them numerous times and never got anyone on the phone, just on hold forever. They haven't responded to my PayPal dispute and have totally ignored my BBB Complaint. This is absolutely ridiculous! I would not recommend this shady company to anyone.

DO NOT BUY!

Does not work. It recorded a delivery, I got the notification, could only see the UPS truck pulling away, got home and package was gone, it recorded nothing. It was mounted less than two feet from my mail box, it only recorded the mailman once. I returned it after 11 days. Support is useless. DO NOT BUY this product.

Not at all Satisfied

I got my ringbell for christmas last year so I have had it almost a year. Generally is does not work. It always says WiFi is not good and even when I am in my house and someone rings the bell I am unable to answer via ringbell. I have to get up and use my doors peephole... so what's the point? I am also unable to review my notifications without having to shut down and re-open the app several times. Again, what's the point. I would suggest looking at another bell. Nest has one now which I think I will look into. Especially since ringbell will start charging soon (they charge you after a year...$30 a year).

After using the product for a couple of weeks, i would now rate it as a 3. It misses lot of activities like me driving up the driveway, and many other close calls. I am not sure why. The WiFi is sending strong signals, the unit; s health is fine. It doesn't seem to be as "great" as it is thought to be.

Very disappointed
January 30, 2020

So I got a Ring Doorbell 2 for a Christmas present. Installed it and it worked(off and on) for about a month then it was time to charge the battery. After charging the battery, I had to completely set up the software and had lots of problems doing so. Ring kept telling me my Wi-Fi connection was weak but 6 other devices connected to my router say the signal is strong, Then after reinstalling the software Ring won't download my history, even though supposedly it is stored on the internet account, I pay for. I would not recommend this product to anyone!

Cameras and apps are nice but if you want to see ANYTHING that isn't live and right now you cannot without paying a monthly fee. So after you have already spent the money for the products you have to keep paying just to use them. My husband didnt do his research or I would have went with a different system like Arlo that keeps things for a week without charging you. Its ridiculous. I could just get an alarm company. I would pay about the same. Very disappointed with that. It's like buying the products all over again just to have proper use and be able to look at something from an hour ago. Shame on you Ring. I know the Arlo system doesn't do that.

I won a doorbell in a raffle and the security screws were not included in the box. I contacted Ring and was informed that they would not give me any because I did not personally purchase the doorbell! I was told I had to buy them. Unbelievable- it is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with!

Placed an order online, that same day they deducted the amount from my credit card and weeks later I'm getting daily emails saying it hasn't shipped yet, but the emails don't say when it will ship or how to cancel the order. I called the bank to dispute the charge 2 weeks ago, and still getting the annoying emails. Earlier today I called Ring customer service and the rep kept telling me the order would ship in 3 to 5 weeks, and I kept saying I had already found the item at a store and bought it so I don't need it to ship, I need to cancel it and stop the daily annoying emails. When he finally understood I just wanted to cancel the order, he kept me on hold for 15 minutes so he could process the cancellation. I asked for an email confirming the cancellation and so far I have not received it. I hope I don't get another "your order hasn't shipped yet" email again tomorrow!

2 pkgs were delivered at my door during the time we were gone. No video of that delivery even though pkgs were placed near front door. That tells me there is activity that is not recorded. Why? Had less than a year. Useless.

Worst experiences twice!
February 11, 2022

I purchased a ring camera, for my front and backyard at my previous address. In the beginning the camera would work fine, then all of a sudden the representative is telling me it's my Internet. Moved from my previous location, and my community installed a ring doorbell, again works fine in the beginning, after a few days the internet goes out. The representative at ring says it might be that the router is not close to the doorbell, this is the reason it's not connecting to the wifi. I say, buyer beware!

I have a glitchy situation happening. I have a camera that is showing the footage upside down. No matter what I do, I can't get help. I keep getting a message that says "first time set up is not available via chat." This isn't a first time set up issue. I don't want to have to call anyone. I should be able to chat and send the screen shot I took.

My ring camera (not so much the doorbell) is useless. It misses more action than it records. Half of the time the video is black (blank). Ring blames it on your WiFi connection but that is not the case. The door bell records when the video camera does not and they are on the same network. You miss all the action. It is not useful. The battery is gone on a couple of days even when you set it for minimum action, but then it does not catch any action! Do not spend your money. They use false advertisement by saying is free. It is not if you want to see the videos.
