Twice now I have posted something and been denied. First time a man came to my door and tried to open first. Knocked continuously until I asked him if I could help him. He claimed that the church had sent him door to door looking for money to feed his family. At best it's soliciting (I have a sign no soliciting). When I denied him of money he continued to beg and harass me. Second time the police were looking for a known sex offender. I pulled the post directly from the Dover police fb page. It was denied. Meanwhile there are helicopters looking and a dangerous man on the loose. I would love to know why they were denied.
They don't tell you that you have to upgrade to use the video feature after the first month so I was upset about that and now my ring device gives me an error when I try to use live view. They say it's my internet, but I love alone and have always had the same internet and my ring is connected directly to a power source.
I have a blink camera from amazon on the back of my house and it is awesome! You don't have to pay fees for video recordings and it's battery operated and never gives me problems in the past 6 months.
Go with blink! Do not waste your money on ring.
This is the worst product. I went through 2 Ring Pros and 1 Ring Video 2 doorbells before I gave up. I purchased the Ring Pro for over $200.00, spent $225 for an electrician, $55.00 for a new indoor chime and $25.00 for a transformer. After 4 hours on the phone trying to get it to work, it wasn't until I wanted my money back they sent me a replacement. After a couple of hours on the phone we could never get it to hook up to the WiFi. Then comes the Ring Chime Pro and Ring Video 2 doorbell. Finally got it hooked up only to find out the 2 way communication will not work due to a problem with their firmware. Sent that POS back also. Amazon dumped them due to customer complaints and Shark Tank bailed out for good reasons. I spent close to $700.00 dollars and logged almost 15 hours of phone time and might of well set my money in the curb.
Wow! Ring now tops the charts as having the WORST customer service ever! They forgot to include an item in my order which led to a 50 min phone conversation in which I had to order a new item, which led to me receiving the wrong item because the one I wanted was supposedly back ordered so they swapped it for an incorrect item (like I wouldn't care), which meant another day of various 30+ min conversations dealing with completely clueless customer service rep just to get return labels. When I tried to re-order the item I originally wanted...first they told me they didn't sell such a thing. When I sent a them a link to it from their website, they told me it was back ordered for 6-7 weeks. I then checked Amazon and was able to order it for delivery the next day. Lesson Learned: Just order from Amazon & link your Ring Account to Amazon. Avoid ever dealing with Ring directly. OMG!
Have sales people that know the product. I called 3 times. No one could help me. I have a ring at my door. I spoke to my HOA association about it and they asked me to find out more and give them a presentation in the next meeting to see if we put it in the buildings. I could not print any information through your website or get any little video that last more than 30 seconds. Someone gave me a link to RING HOA and association for them to call me! And I can't even send the information, it does not go anywhere when I click send! This is very frustrating. All I want is for the association to see the options we have to get the ring.
Horrible customer service!
Ordered ring alarm on Sept 23 on ring.com. Has yet to ship as of Oct 6th. Keep getting lied to by Ring support when it will ship. No response to email asking about shipping. If it's out of stock or other issue why not be truthful.
Yet on Amazon who owns Ring you can get two days shipping.
Ring did reach out to me and finally did receive the alarm. Shouldn't take this much effort to receive alarm
Hi David L,
This certainly isn't the Ring experience that we want for you! Please email your order info to me at Bilan.jenkins@ring.com so that I can take of this for you quickly! I hope to hear from you soon.

I had to do a factory reset on my wireless router because it was hacked. Everything is connected and is working fine except the 2 ring doorbells! No matter how hard I try I can not "Connect to the internet". I loved the doorbells they worked great but after the factory reset on the Netgear Wireless router I can't connect at all! I was about to order a solar charger but not now.
I purchased $1200 + cost of security devices from Ring. I received defective piece of security camera. Battery just drains like crazy. I purchased solar panel. I kept in direct sun light, but camera shows disconnected from power supply. I did make sure that I plug correctly. I did reset. As per technical troubleshooting team, I charged battery 100%. Still, it did not work. Their technical guy told me that 100% battery can last long for 6 weeks if it detects 20 events for per. I just fully charged, and in over night, I kept in backyard where no event detected in night. It did drained 12% from 100%. Now, it is 88%. Even you keep in sun light, it never charges. Troubleshoot people will says that once you drain out, you need to charge 100%. If you do not charge 100%, it solar does not charge. They do not know how to fix. I wasted three times call and it never fixed. They does not returns money.
Tried 4 times on line, 20 minutes with "chat" and 15 minutes with customer no service. They tell me both of my credit cards are bad and I need to call my bank. I have both cards today with no issues. Decent product but worst service for a technology company ever.
The ring flood light lasted 3 months and then 8 months, and needs replacing again, getting expensive for the electrician. The doorbell took 3 times to replace before I received one that worked. Do not buy a Ring if you would like a lasting security system. They feel the last flood light died due to T-Mobile intranet going down approximately 20 plus times in one week.
Total joke of a company. Just buy a webcam and leave your doorbell intact. A totally useless product that they fail to inform u during their glorious ads that it costs $30 a year or it doesn't work. Biggest scam yet.
So very disappointed with the incompetence of their warehouse. 10 days after purchasing 2 cameras and I called asking why they had not been shipped. I was told that they had not left the warehouse yet and they were having problems with the warehouse not getting orders shipped out. As I am leaving the country for a few weeks and not able to sign for them I wanted to cancel the order. I was told I could not do that. The package will be left on your doorstep for 3 weeks while your gone. Even after telling them that I will instruct Fedex to return to sender they still insist that they cannot cancel the order. Wow! Really? You are going to pay Fedex to deliver a package that you know will be returned. Brilliant! Wasting money like that comes out of your next raise.
It doesn't take long before these overpriced door bells start to go bad. When you call Ring support, they love to put the blame on you the customer, as we are stupid, and don't know how to operate their system! I am so sorry I spent that much money for a door bell. But the little Blink camers work great, I now have six Blinks... So long Ring, You SUCK!
When I originally installed my ring stick-up camera, it worked well. Early this year, however, the ring app on my (android) cell phone stopped working. Many attempts re-installing the app, re-initializing the camera, re-booting my router, adding a new wi-fi extender to boost the signal strength at the camera - all to no avail. Then I read that ring has dropped support for android mobile devices without notice! OK, I have an older LG cell phone running android 4. 4. 2 and sadly cannot run the version 5 'lollipop' android - which is now the only version that (for now) works with the ring app. I do understand upgrading to the new OS version - but why brick the older version instead of just letting it continue to run the way it was? As of now, my stick-up camera is useless! $200 in the trash. DON'T waste your money on this useless product.
Hi Bruce,
For security purposes, we no longer support Android operating systems below 5.0, however, I'd be glad to see if there is anything we can do to help turn this experience around for you. I want nothing more than for you to be able to continue to use your Ring devices. Would you kindly email me at Bilan.jenkins@ring.com so that I can look into this for you?

I purchased 4 Ring floodlight cameras. The first camera setup went smooth and I was receiving immediate alerts of motion. Floodlights 2,3, and 4 required several call to tech support for a variety of issues. Finally got a tech that knew something! He could see from his end that my cameras didn't receive the latest firmware and that was causing me problems. The company then forced firmware to my cameras. About that time a thunderstorm rolled in and we had to postpone setup (I didn't want to stand on the ladder to keep pushing button to reset camera in a storm). Tech took my phone number and PROMISED to call me back next day so I wouldn't have to re-explain my issues for the umpteenth time. Still haven't received any phone call, but the cameras are working since receiving new firmware. I do feel more secure with them working. I just don't feel I should have had to make so many phone calls and spend multiple hours trying to figure them out.
App never connected to the device. Ridiculous. Sent it back. Are these things even tested before they are rolled out the door? There are over 70 negative reviews here. Too bad I didn't research this before I even bothered to order it. 90% of reviews are negative. Pull it off the market already. You are giving yourself a bad name. I'll never buy one of these again. Terrible.
Hi rc s,
I am so sorry to hear about this less than excellent Ring experience. At this point, I would appreciate the chance to connect with you directly so that I can both follow up on your return as well as provide you with some additional options to improve your Ring experience. Would you be so kind as to email me directly at Kandcye@ring.com?
I would appreciate your time.

The response time of this app on my iPad Pro is pathetic. I get notified that there is motion and I click on the notification and then the wheel of death starts and I never see $#*!. My Wi-Fi signal strength is 53 and everything about the system is working fine, but the problem is the feedback to Ring.com, and then the processing time before it is returned to me. Honestly, it's the most pathetic piece of crap that I have ever witnessed. By something else.
This doorbell like many many reviewers have said is absolutely terrible. It shows th video AFTER someone has been and gone. Real slick! NOT.
The reason so many people are hving so much trouble with customer support is the fact that AMAZON bought out ring and now you are contacting them! And we all know how that goes...
The damn thing hardly works at all! Eventually it just deleted itself from my system. Not worth the effort of trying to reinstall it. Can't remember the last time I was screwed so easily out of my money. Initial installation was horribly difficult, the all but non-existent customer service not only was of no help, but I've very seldom spoken with anyone as rude as these people. Saved myself the headache and just deleted the app from my phone!
Hi Robert C.,

These alert systems are a joke you get them late if you get them at all it literally takes three to five minutes to get a notice on my phone before I'm able to answer it the people I've already left because nobody has answered it it takes that long to get a noticed do yourself a favor and look for a better system
Answer: Most annoying product ever. Doesn't work but almost does. This makes you constantly fool with it thinking you maybe possibly actually got it to do something similar to what they advertise. But in the end you will be back to square one with a pricey piece of crap! Then after hrs of listening to customer services b. S. you realize you've been had. But it doesn't end there. You end up on sites like this trying to help others from making the same mistake. And trying to figure out when this hell will end!
Answer: It does not work the way it is presented on T. V. The inability to immediately respond "LIVE" to an event renders it useless.
Ring has a rating of 1.3 stars from 773 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Ring most frequently mention customer service, door bell and live view. Ring ranks 166th among Home Security sites.
