They crap out and there's no support from the company. I'm and electronic tech and it's built to stop working once the battery and internal cap goes bad. Replaced both defective parts (battery and Capacitor) and it won't go into setup mode.

Buyer beware worst customer service ever about a month ago I ordered $1000 ring system I had expediting shipping and paid for it 30 days after it was ordered I never received anything I contacted ring several times and got no response finally they told me I had to go through a third-party shipping company did not understand why when I purchased it from them after several phone calls to this company I finally received 30 days after that half of my order and never received the other half I contacted ring several times and got no response I even emailed the CEO again no response I went as far as calling the company and leaving a message on the CEOs voicemail still no response
Called customer service and let him know ( Ricardo) problem I've been having... doorbell stop working but device still ringing when pushed, got a round around that my doorbell was not compatible with ring device any longer? To make story short...; customer service including Supervisor from Jamaica was not helpful and I feel they are knowledge deficit regarding the product they are representing.
I dont recommend anyone to waste their time to call for support. Buy other product that have good reviews.
The door bell developed battery problems. Battery runs down in cold weather and you have to take the unit in and recharge it! In cold weather the battery wouldn't even last a week --what a waste of time! You have to constantly remove the battery and charge it outside the doorbell and of course the door bell goes off line during this time. Then you have to reset it. I spent more time trying to get this product to work than it was worth! Was also billed for the service plan thru automatic billing and even though I called as soon as I saw this on my credit card they would not give me a full refund.
This is a purchase I definitively regret!

Tried 4 times on line, 20 minutes with "chat" and 15 minutes with customer no service. They tell me both of my credit cards are bad and I need to call my bank. I have both cards today with no issues. Decent product but worst service for a technology company ever.
I stopped using Ring in May. This company auto drafted a payment for a year without any communication that they were going to do that. When I called to get my money back, they prorated it. Prorated for nothing they could see the device was inactive. No email or commu inaction that the were going to auto renew. This company will do anything to make a buck. If you want transparent billing practices better run from Ring.
I have had issues with my Ring products including all my cameras a door bell cameras for several years now. The technicians are never helpful. Not even their "supervisors" can help beyond the script and protocol posted on their computer screen! Mo matter how I speak to them (even in Tagalog) they DON'T listen. Especially my Ring Door Bell camera is troublesome and has been for OVER 18 minths now. Continues to fail even after a few dozen "resets" and "fixes on my phone and camera. My last email message to "Jason" an alleged Ring Product "supervisor", I quoted Einstein's theory of insanity, "repeating the same thing, but expecting a different result." In a nutshell, I would strongly dissuade anyone from purchasing ANY Ring products.
There is no telling what will go wrong, or when, on your Ring Cameras. Poor motion response time, poor mechanics in user operation of various features, etc, etc. The list goes on and on. The one certainty is this: total unreliability and a constant source of irritation, frustration and regret for not checking reviews before buying this piece of sh#t.
Our doorbell failed after 1 year at no fault to us and Ring would not replace it. Poor quality and product support
RING CAUSED ME TO GET CHARGED FOR FALSE ALARM. THIS IS ON TAPE RECORDED. THE SYSTEM FAILED MULITPLE TIMES "ALARMING" WHEN DOORS WERE CLOSED AND LOCKED. I WAS CALLED AND SAID "DO NOT DISPATCH" RING DISPATCHED AND POLICE CAME. JAMES RING'S REP SAID RING WOULD PAY IF I WAS CHARGED BECAUSE RING'S RECORD CLEARLY SHOWED I HAD CANCELLED THE FALSE ALARM. NOW I CANNOT GET SERVICE. AFTER HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS ON THE PHONE (NOT HYPERBOLE) I AM STILL WASTING TIME TRYING TO GET RING TO HONOR AGREEMENT AND GET SYSTEM TO WORK PROPERLY.
Ring customer service is absolutely horrible. It's obvious I'm calling a foreign country for support where they don't understand English. I'm constantly placed on hold and nothing is resolved. I call back and get a different answer. I call back a third time and I'm told the call will be escalated to another department that never responds. GREAT JOB RING FOR THE COMPLETELY USELESS SERVICE I HOPE JEFF BEZOS READS THIS RING SERVICE IS COMPLETELY USELESS.
Ring Doorbell Pro worked fine for the first year. After we came home from vacation after the first year the system was offline and we have never been able to use it since even with help from the Ring support team. We are looking to replace it, but not with Ring.
First off ring customer service is horrible. Secondly why would I keep the cardboard box the device came in? To change WiFi password I am being told I need the box the device came in or to physically remove the device that is screwed into my wall! This is ridiculous
On August 31,2021 I placed an order on Ring's website. I paid $363.82 and the order confirmation they emailed to me that day stated that orders usually ship within 24-48 hours. It is now September 29th, a whole month later and I have not received my order. They haven't sent a shipping confirmation or anything. I have called them and sent emails to no avail. They totally ignored the 3-different emails I sent asking about my order. Not once did they respond. In addition, I called them numerous times and never got anyone on the phone, just on hold forever. They haven't responded to my PayPal dispute and have totally ignored my BBB Complaint. This is absolutely ridiculous! I would not recommend this shady company to anyone.
I ordered 8 items and their tracking site does not even show all 8 items, just shows "shipments" that have been shipped and not the un-shipped ones. But then it does not tell me which items are in those shipments. When I called customer support they also do not have the details of what item is in each shipment and when the remaining items will ship. So I'm left to just wait for the items whenever they do arrive and not able to know in advance which item will arrive when.
Ring is extremely poor company to deal with. Ring flood cams do not last more than a year, and if you join the nextdoor program becareful what you say. I have been band for ever, can no longer be on neighborhood watch. Plus they are expensive. I changed to eufy which is a superior product and economical to use.
After a year and 6 months a plastic piece broke on the mounting of the ceiling base for the Ring Floodlight Cam. After waiting 45 min for customer service the response that I got from them was that I need to buy a new device because now they have better quality devices. Do they expect for the customers to spend $180 every year. The customer service in the Phillipines is a joke. Safe your self the aggravation and don't buy Ring products.
I installed Ring doorbell cameras 2 years ago. I have had several instances where the camera did not report someone at the door with no explanation why. Very hard to get ahold of anyone at company. Poor customer service. They also changed to a 'forced' two step verification method that no longer allows email as any method of verification. This is a BIG problem if your cell service is sketchy in your home or place of work. They wouldn't bend on this issue or make any exceptions. They were actually rude about it when I tried to work this out. They 'forced' this new policy immediately after I renewed my plan for another year. No refunds what-so-ever and I can no longer use the Ring camera reliably. I do NOT recommend this company!
I would not buy this joke of a product or recommend it it is crap my Internet is six feet away with no obstruction but still miss people at the door
Answer: Most annoying product ever. Doesn't work but almost does. This makes you constantly fool with it thinking you maybe possibly actually got it to do something similar to what they advertise. But in the end you will be back to square one with a pricey piece of crap! Then after hrs of listening to customer services b. S. you realize you've been had. But it doesn't end there. You end up on sites like this trying to help others from making the same mistake. And trying to figure out when this hell will end!
