Fast response to my initial call (the lady I spoke to was REALLY helpful). Being kept informed, initially with broad time frame for arrival and then of imminent arrival is very reassuring. Friendly, knowledgeable chap (Mark) turned up, offered solutions to my problem so I could make an informed choice and then did the job quickly and efficiently (those two words are different). He left me confident that signing up to your plumbing Care Plan was the right thing to do (chatting whilst working to make sure I fully understood what the plan did and didn't cover). Once I've replaced my central heating boiler later in the year, I'll sign up to one of your heating plans too.
The plumber arrived very promptly but without phoning/emailing ahead so it was lucky I was in. He didn't know why the toilet was continuously gurgling and trickling and didn't look at the drains or pipes but said he'd fixed it. When I got back later the problem was still there so I had to re-book after considerable difficulty (and the call was cut off after I'd finally got through!). Very offputting marketing tactics, trying to sell a 'care plan' both by phone and email even tho' I'd said 'no' and requested no marketing. Very bad experience.
Had them in to service my boiler. A man turned up with no tools. So he had to borrow mine. He shone a torch in to the boiler for a few minutes then I was charged £118. Nothing was cleaned or "serviced"
Con men. Avoid at all costs
Please stay away! They take advantage of the fact that you're facing an emergency!
They promised to visit the same day, they didn't. Had to chase them and they eventually showed up the following day, but forgot a form they needed so had to come back the day after.
They broke the tiles to find the leak, but did not find it nor fix anything and charged me £523 for a job that was never completed. Had to call another plumber who was able to fix it in an hour and confirmed that there was absolutely no need to damage my tiles to find the leak
I complained and had to chase them for 3 months for a reply, they kept ignoring until finally they came back saying they will not refund a penny. This is despite me submitting all relevant documentation to support my claim including an official report from the second plumber.
Rightio sent a barely qualified plumber to fix a leak under the bath. His presence unnerved the supervising female, and the work failed to stop, the leak which had to fixed by another local plumber the following day.
HOWEVER... despite photos and evidence 10 days later I am still waiting for a refund.
Terrible customer service, engineer damaged shower and caused a leak. Didn't come back to fix it and I had to find a plumber at short notice to fix the leak and the replace the broken part of the shower. No one is taking ownership of my complaint. Avoid
We called this company as we had a serious leak and the local Plumber was unavailable. We were charged over £400 for this service. Two filters came at first and then one disappeared for two hours to get a part. When he came back he had the wrong part. Then they both went off and eventually came back with the right part. As I was obviously getting upset at the time this was all taking, I was asked if I would settle for two hours work. I agreed as I just wanted them gone. After they left we found we still had a leak, I rang the company at 9.00 the next morning and it was over 24 hours before someone came. I will never give my debit card details again before the job is done. To add insult to injury, when the invoice came through my signature had been forged twice regarding the time they came and the time they left. I have written to the company but have had no reply. Please do not use this company, they are nothing but cowboys.
Despite contacting Rightio at short notice they came out as soon as they could and solved my plumbing problem very quickly. The plumber was very friendly and did his job well and the cost was reasonable would recommend them anytime.
My call was dealt with very professionally by a helpful and very polite team member.
I was kept up to date with my visit and called an hour ahead before the engineer arrived.
Paul was amazing. He explained what he was doing throughout and was very friendly and professional.
Having such an engineer like Paul made the service really fantastic and I would definitely recommend Rightio to a friend. Thank you
Our tenant had two issues a blocked sink and a shower that didn't work. Called rightio on a thursday. They told the tenant they would be round on Monday! He (rightly) called me so I went round and unblocked the sink myself at the weekend. The rightio guy turned up on monday, didn't fix the shower because he said it was an electrical issue and tried to charge me 154 pound for unblocking the sink that I had done myself! Dishonesty at it's worst - beware!
Don't know where to start, the job was to sort a leak out under bath but the plumber said he had to rip off the panel first so I agreed to that and then I find out the bath was damaged too. In total I paid £306 for plumber to fix the leak but I've to buy new bath too so I'm total it's cost around £700... did try customer services but they said damages happen on site and it's up to me to sort it out as they take no responsibility... never again...!
I wouldn't even give Rightio one star, but you have to in order to provide reasons for a low rating. Basically, they are in administration and seem to be ripping people off before they close. They asked for my bank details upfront and then charged me £380 for not fixing, and not even mentioning on the their invoice, the problems I had called them out to fix. They have not responded and do not put through to the right department when I call.
After Rightio carried out work on a wrongly diagnosed boiler problem, I went through the complaints procedure and got nowhere (as they will always say that their engineers have carried out their work correctly) so I then went through my credit card provider and have now successfully managed to get a charge back, as it was proved that Rightio failed to correctly diagnose the problem. After the complete bodge job done by Rightio, I then rang a local plumber to carry out the work, and not only was the price cheaper (and that included the part and VAT) but he actually looked for the fault and didn't just guess and correctly fixed it.
So, please everyone, go local and give Rightio a wide berth and for all those that have had a wrongly diagnosed problem, go for a charge back through your credit card provider. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain
If anyone have had to get another company out to fix or diagnose a problem that was not correctly done by Rightio, then please contact your bank and try and get a charge-back if you have paid on credit card. Please get written documentation from the professional company and this will help in attempting to get your money back.
EVERYONE ELSE who are thinking about using these cowboys, charlatans, rip-off merchants, bodge job, good for nothing outfit, THEN DO NOT. You will be ripped off and left so out of pocket. Use a local company instead as they will be quicker, more efficient, nicer and the main thing, give you value for money.
Use Rightio at your own peril
At 9.03am I had a useful discussion with the operative in Newcastle. This filled me with confidence - I was sadly misled. The first text I got said that a plumber would be with me between 8am and 12. An immediate call came after this to say it would be between 12 noon and 5pm. A confirmation text followed... then nothing until a call at 16.16 to say that the plumber had been delayed and that Rightio couldn't do anything until Monday. Very Wrongio! Left me with a failed water and heating system. ZERO stars!
Arranged an appointment in morning; received a call at 13:00 to inform me that engineer would be late! A further call at 16:15 informed me engineer would arrive in half hour. Engineer arrived at 18:15 and then, after half hour and which cost me £154.50, was told the boiler problem would need a more professional assessment than he could offer! Problem unresolved and I'm left absolutely seething and disgusted! Avoid like the f***ing plague!
A terrible company. Turned up to the address at the wrong date/time 3 times. When they finally turned up at the right time (after numerous phone calls with staff who really arent bothered) they couldnt find parts for the boiler (after they confirmed they definitely could). Wasted a week, hours on the phone and the icing on the cake was that it took them 11 months, YES, 11 MONTHS, to answer my complaint "due to a back log of complaints". A joke of a company. Avoid.
You will regret dealing with this company who are bordering on scamming. They just want your card details to get at money. They will not turn up in the promised time and you will not be able to get hold of them once you've placed an order. Their website is not safe and their telephone numbers keep changing on their website. Stay away. They have been reported to the police.
Kadeer is as amazing and the young man who attended my Uncles house was fantastic. Polite, well mannered and sorted the problem. He now has heating and hot water. I will use this company always now and highly recommend.
Pleasant engineer, (though he left a mess behind him!) pleasant chap on the phone quoting the price. Very unpleasant "customer service" person I had to deal with once I was actually over charged on the agreed price. Despite having the agreed price on Rightio paper work, with both the engineer and my signature... I was very rudely told that the quote on the phone (which I was not allowed to listen to) was the quote Rightio would be sticking to. I am disgusted, as I was very certain to ascertain the final price, with no ambiguity whatsoever. The engineer also confirmed the price on the phone with his manager whilst filling out the paper work at the end of the job. Honestly? The price is still good... but fair is fair, and Rightio have been UNFAIR. My elderly parents are getting a new boiler next year, I will ensure we do not use Rightio as a company that is dishonest in quoting does not deserve the business!
I've been ripped off by Rightio. I was losing water pressure on the property. The guys turned up and said it's a localised problem due to droughts. He said he even questioned it with Rightio before turning up, saying that might be the problem. They sent him anyway. He was here 5mins I paid £112.80.
