My dealings with Rightio are the worst experience in dealing with any company or institution throughout my whole life! Following a routine service of our gas boiler in September we decided after advice from the engineer to undergo a powerflush for 2 non functioning radiators at a cost of £820. This was performed and all radiators except 1 initially worked adequately for the first day. However within a few days 5 radiators were not functioning properly. The engineer was recalled and after 2nd visit suggested the pump was not powerful for the house and a quote of £576 was given. We decided to proceed following this advice but the same problems arose immediately following this. A magnaflush was then performed. The radiators worked normally for 24hrs but within 1 week 5 radiators were barely or not working! 4 of these radiators had worked entirely normally before our initial powerflush! In discussions with Mr Fitzgerald and logistics at Rightio headquarters they have suggested that the pipes are too small, our radiators which are 18yrs old in a new build house have corrosion and need replacing or that there is a blockage in the pipes and pipes behind walls need replacing at more added cost. At no time has any engineer visiting our house suggested the radiators need replacing! An independent engineer appointed by Rightio suggested a repeat powerflush. This assessment was disputed by Mr Fitzgerald who suggested a further assessment by a Rightio engineer. This service has been compounded by an appalling logistics and customers service department. Calls have not been answered. Promised replies within 24hrs were not forthcoming and dates set for engineer visits were cancelled without any communication. These cancellations were only found out on us ringing the company 2-3hrs after the expected time. We are currently financially worse off by £1396, a radiator system that is worse than prior to the powerflush, exasperated and taking advice from the citizen advice service!
They don't deserve 1 star, but I can not give less!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I needed a company to give me a quote for a repair job or new boiler fitting, I knew it was pretty much totalled as it was leaking from the manifolds where the seals had failed, it had obviously ruined the PCB, so I knew the price would almost be the same to replace as to repair, I already had a boiler in mind to replace it with.
The engineer came same day, I showed him the boiler and reiterated what I wanted, he took the cover off 3 screws and the next 30 mins was a sales pitch of how good their boilers were, it was one of theirs he was looking at!
He told me it would take him all day to repair it, any qualified technician could do the work in 2-5 hours, but it was going to take him 8 hours at least at around £100/hr.
"I just need a quote for a replacement or repair?"
That will be up to the office to give that.
"So when do I get that, later today?"
So how much, when... "
Well I can't give you an idea, like I said it's up to the office (who are not there, work out the worst scenario in your head).
He left after taking off the cover and removed the control panel, he didn't replace them, after he noticed I was fuming, that I wanted a quote and couldn't provide it. "But I already know it's ruined, I need a quote to fix it or replace it!". Waste of a day off work!
We then contacted a well known National Gas Company, the next day, they came the following day and assessed the situation, went away and had a written quote for £1000 more than I had expected, but could do it in easy payments!
Deal done!
4 hours later Rightio called, told them we had decided to go with this National Company, 2 days later I had a letter with a £141 call out invoice on my mat!
Contacted Rightio complaints, told them, I didn't call them out for an emergency, because I knew the boiler was already ruined, I wanted a quote (to this day, I still didn't receive a quote), what I did get was a fight in court. They changed their story from call out to eventually a diagnostic charge!
Shame they can not diagnose that they provide a terrible service to customers and maybe spend more time on correcting their attitude and reaction to disappointed customers.
If you want to pay something for nothing, this is the company to call, if you want to complain about their procedures, it will fall on deaf ears and they will just take it to court, they will raise a new claim, by increasing the payment after a month and you may have 2 claims to defend! The reviews are split against them, they do tend to delete reviews off their site, so sites like Sitejabber are influential in getting the message across to this company.
Use this company at your own peril, maybe they will get better in the future?

Worked for rightio for a couple of months. In them couple of months I had realised what they're tactic was. They would target elderly and vulnerable customers saying that card details are required to "secure the booking". However there is an option to where customers can pay via cash, cheque or card on site.
Customers are told "payment will not be taken until the job is completed", "90% of the jobs are done within the first hour". These are both lies as you can see from other customer reviews on trustpilot.
I was released from my duties when I refused to take my jacket off in a office where the AC was constantly on no matter if it was summer or winter. If you made any complaints at Rightio, just know that they have been stacked up into a pile with others and there is only 1 complaints handler to deal with them all.
There script had been designed in a way to which if you went court with, it would be won in there favour. Advisors are being told to read the script and lie about what company the customer has come through to.
Rightio is a subcontractor they do NOT have directly employed engineers. The company had changed its named from Rightio LTD to Rightio Subcontractors LTD to avoid any outstanding CCJ's.
When I was let go they had advised me that I had apparently "resigned" when in fact it was a team leader providing false information to HR which led to my dismissal.

They didn't quote VAT on my Job and the job was not completed- I will have to get someone else in
We found Rightio through the Thomson local directory as we needed a plumber to check our thermostat in the shower as we were not getting any warm water. Rightio sent a plumber on the same day; the agent we called advised there was a £99+ VAT charge for the first hour of labour.
However, the plumber who came spent 5 minutes inspecting the shower, he informed us that the shower needed a new thermostat and if not, it would need a new shower. He then left. After he went we received a phonecall from a Rightio agent who didnt offer us a new thermostat. Instead he informed us a new shower would cost £300+VAT, but they could not come out for another week to install this. This timeframe was too long for us. The agent then said it would be £600+VAT if they carried out the work in 24 hours.
We advised the agent this was too expensive and we would not be using their services. The agent then informed us as a plumber had 'assessed' the shower, this would cost us £99+VAT. They advised this fell under their labour costs. 5 minutes of their time equated to £99+VAT. There was no mention of a minimum booking fee for our thermostat to be assessed. They advise there are no hidden charges yet this is the most obvious hidden charge I can think of.
We advised the plumber had carried out no work on the shower, he had assessed the shower. No labour was involved. We even told Rightio it was a thermostat issue. However, the agent would not take this as an answer, demanding payment, advising debt collectors would be used in chasing the payment from us.
We put the phone down on the agent, who rang back straight away, demanding payment in a threatening, rude manner. The agent, despite his claim that we needed to pay, lowered the outstanding payment down to £82, then £50. After being harassed and threatened in this manner, we paid the £50.
If you like having your time wasted by an organisation that charges extortionate amounts for work, or in our case, no work whatsoever, then this company would be for you. However, I would strongly urge you to avoid them; they seem to enjoy taking money of people for next to nothing. I worry that their threatening, rude behaviour could be dangerous if used against vulnerable people. Would you trust a company that charges over £100 for literally coming to your door? I would avoid them at all costs!

1735 parents call say engineer arrived can do nothing till Monday need to order parts.
1800 parents phone saying second engineer arrived and gone away, evidently first one was from RIGHTIO

Told engineer off sick and had not ordered parts, need another to attend later that day for rediagnosis, probably next week before repair
Told no attendance required, told will be billed £202:80 for previous call out

Engineer arrived told story, contacted Worcester who came that day and sorted under guarantee, no charge from either.

They deny the 1745 phone call, seems to be lost from recording system, state engineer was there at 1631 until 1639.
Consequently told must pay now officially sent to debt collectors.
Every phone call stonewalled just repeated the it was resolved now with debt collection
Refuse to check engineer phone log to assert time or to look for my phone call which they deny happened.
They are Rob dogs, the attendance was cancelled.
Customer service not willing to listen just keep repeating that we must pay. Threatened bayliffs.
