The company has established a strong reputation for its user-friendly resume-building platform, which is praised for its intuitive design, effective templates, and time-saving capabilities. Many customers express satisfaction with the polished results and helpful prompts that enhance their resumes. However, concerns regarding the transparency of pricing practices are prevalent, with some users feeling misled by the marketing of free access. Additionally, issues with customization options and the accuracy of information fetched have been noted. Overall, while the service is highly regarded for its quality and ease of use, addressing pricing clarity could further enhance customer trust.

The company really is a bit of a scam artist. They rely on you forgetting to cancel your membership and don't help you when you make an honest mistake. I ended up paying over $160 for services I never used. I signed the agreement, but there was no sign of remorse for what happened. The customer service team must spend their whole time dealing with these issues and I hope they feel some guilt.
Eric N was the customer service agent that said he would help me get my refund. It never happened. I searched for "FREE" resume services. This service came up as a top one. However after building a resume, it would not let me download until I paid $1.95 for a "free trial" for 7 days. THEN, I received info from my credit card that the business charged me $39.95 automatically without even permission or notice. Resume Genius sent me an email stating that if I wanted my refund faster I would have to give them a 4 or 5 star rating. Personally that sounds like blackmail. Not really good business practice. I've been in customer service for YEARS and would never do that to a customer that wasn't satisfied. Still waiting for my refund after 2 weeks. Most likely will have to go through my credit card company to report them as fraud. UPDATE: went through my credit card company for a dispute. Awarded refund in my favor since Resume Genius did not honor what they said they would do. Also seems they have many complaints of the same. Now I'm basically being harassed, I've received voice mails and emails that they want me to change the rating I gave them. NEVER! PLEASE don't fall for this scam of a company. Some reviews are stating they had a good experience, well good for them, not sure I really believe they are real customers considering the deceitful business practices so far, however for their sakes I hope it really was good.
This company runs some shady practices. They owe me money but have basically said that it's going to be a long wait on the refund unless I give them a good review here. I personally will not do that as I find this to be just really bad customer service. I work in customer service and would never work for a company that used such practices. So I already wrote back and I don't expect my refund till the very last day possible. Oh well.
This company is a bunch of theives, they will charge you after you cancel and refuse to refund your money. Stay away from this site. I had nothing but bad experiences, and heard the same from others.
Customer service is a crap. Agent edwerd t{nice looking scammer} nicely said to me to go and f... off after taking my money. Hope that agent will bring lots of new customers to this scamming company.
COMPLETE SCAM. They steel your money. They say they charge $1.95 but the actual charge is 41.95. Doesn't get any worse than this. Stay away!
These people care a lot about the people. The customer service is insanely good and they help out a lot. Awesome job.
Unlike a lot of other sites, this one delivers what it promises-several professional templates, free feedback on resume- with actual helpful notes- not just generic form letter junk. It also offers tons and tons of helpful bullet points listed by job type, which is a great starting point for any resume.
Customer service is very helpful and the site itself is very user friendly. Worth the price for any job seeker.
Using this saved me a lot of time from having to write everything else myself. The templates that lined everything out and made my resume look professional.
This was my review that I felt I was forced to write, after charging me $40 for their service AFTER I had canceled my subscription, they said my refund could take 10-20 day to complete. But if I completed a review on this website, they would "Pass on a good word to customer service" to speed things up. This was the most sketchy refund I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I will never be trusting this company again, you shouldn't either. I was prepared to file an FTC and IC3 complaint to have them investigated for charging me that money.
This service was a complete waste of money. Did nothing to provide insight into how to improve a resume. Site was reasonable well put together but is worthless. Just search resume or job search tips, get a free book from the library, go to a career counselor to have them look over a resume, but don't waste your money on this site.
It was very unclear on the trial offer and then the automatic payment plan after 14 days. But the staff that helped me, Betty, was very kind and considerate of my circumstances.
Had a refund issue with them and it was cleared right away. Betty was wonderful and handled my situation with great efficiency and clarity. If it weren't for Betty I'm sure this situation wouldn't resolve so easily.
The site was wonderful said free help but than it wanted to charge me $1.95 thought it was well worth it it charged me let me print than I thought it was done. Got more emails thought they were junk cause I no longer needed there service little did I know it was a follow up explaining they were going to charge me $39.95 a month unless I canceled service that I didnt realize I signed up for. Now they tell me I can only get my money back if I write a review and post it.
I needed a resume generator and it helped with that. The pricing is a bit steep for the service and I was unaware that I was being build for the month as it said that I wouldn't be billed until Dec.
I would just say dont have the customer selected, as automatically signed up for the subscription. No one wants to spend $40 a month on a resume. All I wanted was one put together resume. Ill pay $2 for that, if you accept that and try not to scam others, who you have agready made unaware of their purchase, you will have a smooth operation going.
There was no disclosure about $39 fee after 14 days. And its has been 5 days I havent heard from anyone. I need a respond back. Can someone one contact me back on regard to this problem.
On 10/4 I contacted customer service at Resume genius regarding a refund. I was contacted via email by Betty Ko. I was informed that my refund was processed and would be refunded in 20-25 days. I was also informed that if I left a positive review on this site that she would expedite the refund. I informed her that I would be happy to leave a review AFTER the refund had posted. I'm still waiting!
Here it is 2 months later and no refund as promised. I reached out via email a second time to inquire about the whereabouts of the refund and got no response.
Do NOT do business with this company. They are thieves I will now be contacting out CU and the BBB to file complaints..
These templates did not improve my resume at all, in fact I received more responses from the resume I did myself and NO responses from the resume I built using this rip off site. Called to cancel and requested refund. Betty has not responded to any of my follow up emails. Dont waste your time or money.
I recently subscribed to ResumeGenius.com and it was most helpful. After a miscommunication regarding my cancellation of their services within the allotted time and still being charged the full rate, I was able to communicate the mishap with their new customer service management person, Betty Ko, who has rectified the situation and is processing a full refund for the charges charged to me after canceling the trial subscription.
I found charges on my card that were not mine from and email that was not mine on this site. Luckily they are working with me on it however it has been met with some resistance right now it seems I eventually will get my money back
