This company presents itself as the hotel and then charges a 15.00 fee that you are not aware of until your credit card goes through and then its too late!
Charges a $45 extra fee after I reserved the hotel, I immediately tried to cancel. That took 38 minutes and they still charged me $20.
They should out of business.
Very dishonest and no customer service. Bunch of barely speaking English reps. Didn't even know we were using them for reservations. Thought we were dealing with hotel. Worse experience ever
They do everything they can to get your money. What started out as a 134, ended up over 200... with no cancellation. It was cheaper to reserve from the hotel!
When checking out, you're not shown the full fees and taxes. I paid $84.59 for a $45 room because they charged me $19.99 for the service fee. They also don't tell you that this is non-refundable.
Lots of hidden fees and policy info that is not informed till after booking. I wouldnt even give it a 1star if I didnt have to. Definitely boycott this website any other website is cheaper and no hidden fees or policy info.
As I asked the lay to apply my hilton awards to my room - I didn't know they couldn't - she said she did. When I called hilton as something seemed wrong they said they can't through that site. When I tried to call the customer service I kept getting to an end of their IUVR syswtem. When I finally got someone I couldn't hear them. So they lie and make it impossible to render any service at all. Stay away from them. And I got charged 19.99 non refundable when I cancdelled within 30 minutes. This is a grand rip off.
I thought I was making a reservation with a Hilton Hotel, but the reservation.com lookalike website came up instead... what a scam! If they were reputable they could exist on their own merit, but the only way this piece of crap business can make any money is to fake out the consumer... you know they don't count on repeat business! Once I received the confirmation email I noticed it said that there were no changes or cancellation allowed without losing the entire amount. I also noticed that the amount was considerably higher than advertised on the website, with additional fees added on. I immediately called their help desk to and discussed the mistake and asking for a refund, etc. seeing how the reservation was still three months away. After talking to three different folks and being promised that a supervisor would call me back within 24 hrs (which didn't happen) they all said the same thing... that they would love to provide a refund but it was Hilton's policy not to allow refunds... total hogwash! I called Hilton and they said it is definitely no their policy... that in fact their policy is that you can cancel up till midnight before your stay. Please stay away from this company as the are deceptive and untruthful.

I find myself repeating over and over to friends how easy it is to use a hotel booking site, Reservations.com in particular. There's nothing hard about it at all even if it's your first try.
I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights in December for my sons graduation called to confirm reservation they told me yes you are all good, went to call hotel to ask a question find out hotel has been closed since October now they cant find a hotel in area want to book me 40 minutes away. I found hotels on their website and they wont accommodate me stating they gave me a resolution. Spent 5 hours on the phone back and forth. The manager RIZ is the rudest person i ever dealt with (actually hung up with me). Will be calling again in the morning to hopefully speak with someone else. DO NOT BOOK THRU RESERVATIONS.COM
I thought I was on the hotels website, called the number to make reservation. Gave the specific address of the hotel I wanted. Then after booking, I get an email confirming reservation at a totally different hotel! So I look up that hotel and their advertised price was half what I was charged. Immediately called customer service and after 36 minutes on hold they hung up on me. Called back to reservations and got a complete run around... hotel I "requested" was now "full". So I asked to match the advertised price for the hotel they booked me at... that price was no longer available. Complete BS. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE! Make sure you are calling the actual hotel you want. I'm obviously not the first that was mislead by this company but hopefully you won't be! The first pic is the hotel we wanted. Second pic is the advertised price of $69, less than half what we were charged to stay at this hotel. When I called they said the $69 is no longer available. So I look up while I'm on the phone with him and advertised price is now $78. Still not $150 they charged me... more run around then transferred me to customer service. No one ever answered.
I booking a room at Americinn thought I was doing it through Windham instead it was reservations.com. What a bunch of cons. The room rate was 129:99 plus tax. Which I was comfortable with when I checked out online they charged me 139.99 plus tax plus an $18.99 nonrefundable fee. I tried to call and email quess what nobody was home. So I just got cheated out of aprox 30 dollars. They where a mask but not for covid. Live and learn hope everybody who reads this doesnt have to. Hope you are happy duping a senior citizen
Simply put, JUST DONT DO IT OR YOU'LL BE SORRY! Save yourself money, the headache and the frustrations and don't deal with them. I have made hundreds of different bookings online with many different companies and never experienced anything like what i went through today. Negative 5 stars if were possible. STAY AWAY
Got caught by this site when trying to book through the motel site. Didn't realise I had been diverted away until the confirmation email with the undisclosed charges for their "services and tax recovery charges. Then my credit card got hit with their enormous charges. How can $867.98 be a reasonable charge for basically less than two minutes of work when this site resubmitted my application through Bookings.com??
I'm not disputing the accommodation charges (which I opted to pay later but was charged for immediately at a higher rate) No, I'm annoyed that I've been hit with charges that I basically have no way of recovering. When you read the fine print the company reserves the right to change their mind about their own rules if it's going to affect their profitability. This is not a service, it's a damned syphon and I have no way to recover the money. The final insult was being charged a further $89 international transaction fee to book an Australian hotel IN AUSTRALIA.
Grrrrrr.
Never again.
I made a mistake booking with this website! First, they should state that "ALL PRICE ARE IN US DOLLARS"; Second, they never email me my confirmation, and I didn't know about the USD$14.99 NON-REFUNDABLE SERVICE CHARGE until I called to cancel my hotel reservation! I am calling my credit card company to report this unauthorized charge!:@
This company doesn't even deserve one star!
This lesson cost me $20 CDN
I thought I was booking directly through a hotel but realized it was actually Reservations.com. I was booking for work and there was a non-refundable fee of $20 AND they refused to allow me to cancel my reservation just 3 minutes after I made it. AWFUL AWFUL customer service that gave me the runaround. DO NOT USE THEM! They totally posed as the hotel's own sight. I am a government employee and they would not honor my government discount that the hotel would have.
DO NOT USE RESERVATIONS.COM! UNLIKE MOST RESERVATION SITES, NO PRICE GUARANTEE IS OFFERED. TAXES AND FEES CHARGED BY HOTELS.COM WERE $100 LESS THAN ON RESERVATIONS.COM. I CALLED IMMEDIATELY AND WAS TOLD, SORRY, THERE IS NO PRICE GUARANTEE. WITH SO MANY OTHER SITES OUT THERE THAT DO MATCH OFFERS, WHY USE RESERVATIONS.COM? ALSO BEWARE OF THE MISLEADING WEB ADDRESS. I MISTAKENLY BELIEVED THAT I WAS CONTACTING THE HOTEL DIRECTLY, SINCE THE HOTEL'S NAME WAS THE FIRST PART OF THE WEB ADDRESS. THE LAST PART, HOWEVER, WAS RESERVATIONS.COM, WHICH IS THE COMPANY THAT WILL HANDLE YOUR RESERVATION. NO REASON TO MAKE ANY RESERVATIONS THROUGH THEM. BUYER BEWARE OF COURSE, BUT WHEN MANY COMPANIES ARE PROFITABLE HONESTLY, WHY PATRONAGE BUSINESSES THAT OPERATE ON THE MARGIN?
Reservations.com took my reservation. My credit card statement had their charge and another full price charge from Red Roof Inn. Don't use this site - call the hotel directly.
I booked my visit to California with them and the experience was amazing. Their site functions easily and much better than any other travel booking site I've used.
We had to return home without notice. A family emergency happened. Thankfully they worked with me on cancellations. It's great when a company listens and reacts with compassion.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!
Answer: Hello, Thank you for question. Please contact us at support@reservations.com so we can better assist you with this matter. Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing back from you. Sincerely Reservations.com Support Team
Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
