I was unfortunately given the task of making hotel reservations for our group's tour to Miami and I admit it wasn't a task I jumped into with excitement. A co-worker introduced Reservations.com to me and what a lifesaver! I simply typed in our destination, number of people, and number of rooms needed and I was given a list of hotels to choose from. My boss was happy!
I want to THANK your staff who helped with our request for a refund, especially, Rovi & Angel who both helped resolve our problem, once they had all the correct information. Will be using your website in the future for reservations.etc Thank you Bryan for helping us at this time.
I searched for Holiday Inn and this site came up. I opened it and thought I was in Holiday Inn's site as this site was disguised to look like their site. When asked if I wanted to make this reservation I confirmed, but expected to see a final price shown and asking for confirmation. This happens on every single site I've ever used in the past! Instead it confirmed the reservation was made and that confirmation was sent to my e-mail. I got the email moments later and they had added on a total of $30 in additional fees. I called them immediately and expressed my thoughts of the hidden fees. I then requested this reservation be cancelled. I was told this cannot be canceled and that I will be charged the full amount, no exceptions. Zero negotiations. This site is set up intentionally to be misleading to scam these extra fees out of you do NOT use this site! Currently disputing these charges through my credit card
When I chose a price, there was no warning that the associated hotel booking was non-refundable. All other hotel booking sites that I have visited clearly state when a booking is non-refundable. Do not use the reservations.com web site.
We just booked a room at a Clarion through reservations.com. We thought we were dealing with the hotel site directly, but we were not. They said we were getting the discount rate, but the rate they gave us was about $15 MORE than the Clarion rate. Then... they charged us an additional $14.99 SERVICE FEE! Do NOT use these scam artists!
Reserved a hotel room but when I went ot check into the room they had already charged my credit card for the room and refused to change the charges and wanted me to pay a fee for putting the charges on a cooperate card. I had not even checked into the room yet and they had already charge for the room. The web site is a scam sight not connected with the hotel at all but when i went to the hotel web site that is were I reserve the room it was a fake site made to look like the real site. When I called the number for the site is was a company based in India not american based company
E The entirely booked hotel I wanted suddenly became available when I wasn't interested in any other ones. I gave them all my info and credit card info and they asked me to hold for a confirmation number. The phone then disconnected. I called back and no one had any info on me! I then called the hotel directly and they have been booked all evening! So I called my credit card and they had reversed part of the fee but kept a 14.99 service fee. I filed a fraud dispute so will get it back. The hotel I wanted told me this 3rd party company pays to have their number pop up first on the internet so that is why we all accidentally get this scammer's number. This company should be shut own.
Horrible! Scam! They charge more for taxes than exist.
The taxes they charge are more than double what the actual fees and taxes are. The cancellation fee is 19.99, and you can find a much cheaper rate than the actual hotel or other online providers. I actually checked on the site thinking that I was clicking on the actual site for the hotel. I learned my $20 mistake. Hotel room was actually $75 less my contacting the hotel directly.
I might as well pile on! Reservations.com should be reported to the BBB. Like many, I went to reserve a room on the hotel's website, in this Holiday Inn. Somehow during the transaction, I was switched over to Reservation.com, a company I never even heard of. So, after checking in to the Holiday Inn, I had to depart a day early; instead of a 2 day stay I would just be there 1 day. I notified the hotel and the were ok with the early, 1 day departure. Long story short I called Reservation.com and they refused to give me a refund. I have to provide them the name of the Holiday Inn employee so they can call and confirm that the hotel ok'd my departure. WTH! This is like having to bring a note to school from my parents, allowing me to leave early. How the heck am I supposed to remember the hotel employee's name? There's a special place in hell for companies like this!
I booked with reservation.com a very specific hotel with pool, non-smoking, and a specific location. They charged me and when I went to the hotel, I was told I had no reservation. I was then told my hotel was on the opposite end of the city. I had no choice and went to a run-down, seedy hotel. My family was put in a smoking section with no pool.
On my reservation it clearly states the correct address and then further down on the same reservation it states a completely different address. This is bait and switch and quite simply fraud.
I wish I would have seen these reviews before I booked. I booked with them- the hotel linked over to them. The price dropped by $150 within 30 minutes of booking. I called to see I could get the price difference and they refused. The customer service person was SO rude and insincere. They don't care about their customers and they don't care about retaining them. Very disappointed. In today's day and age, this type of customer service is unacceptable.
My wife and I arrived in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and needed to book a room in the Marriott Hotel in the Calgary Airport. We booked the rate and were told by the agent that we were getting a deep discount. It sounded good, so we made a reservation. We were making a reservation with a Canadian hotel in a Canadian airport. We were told the price and agreed to make the reservation. What we were not told is that we were being charged in US dollars. Imagine our surprise when we checked into our room and looked online to find we were being charged in US dollars despite the fact that we were booking from a Canadian airport to a Canadian hotel. The room cost us nearly $100. Canadian more because we were paying in US dollars. I contacted reservations.com and they told us because we were checked in the reservation was non refundable. We will never use this service again.
If I do the math, they charged me $70 to make the reservation, not the $20...
According to my receipt from reservations.com I paid them
Room Sub Total: USD $220.99 (excluding taxes and fees)
Taxes & Fees: USD $31.75
Sub Total: USD $252.74
Service Fee: USD $19.99
But I had this night combined with another night I reserved directly. And from the Hotel's receipt they got from Reservations.com a total of $202.20 (which included all the taxes of $25.41).
So the difference between what I paid resevrations.com and what they paid to the hotel for my bill was $70.53.
So I will never use them again.
This company provides the worst customer service I have ever seen. After getting a cancellation code from the hotel to get a full refund I still had to wait over a month to get my money back. I had to call over 8 times to make sure I was getting my money back because ever time I would call they would tell me call back in 24-48 hours to check on the status. This place is a joke and all they do is take your money and then tell you sorry we don't give refunds. They don't care about their customers they care about taking your money STAY AWAY!
Like the other reviewers, I thought I was calling the hotel directly and was never informed about the additional refundable charges. I asked the agent directly, the cancellation policy and was told the entire amount would be refunded. I received two additional charges and the price of the hotel was more than what was stated to me on the phone. Do not use this company.
Y'all are the worst company i have ever booked through. I recommend to NEVER book through this company. I travel all the time and this company is the worst company you could possibly book through from their customer support, to their management, to their policy of 0% refund
I made a reservation a standard room for 3 days at a hotel through reservation.com for a total of $552.88. My cousin made a reservation for the same 3 days at the same time I did for a suite. Her reservation was $523.12. I checked with the hotel directly (which I should have done to begin with, and the price for the 3 day stay in the standard room was $511.89. I called reservations.com and they were unwilling to match the lower price and charged me $19.99 for the cancellation. I will not use reservations.com again.
Charged an additional $14.99, and I called to ask why and to ask that they send a receipt. They said they can't send me a receipt for the additional $15 charge. Better off booking through a legitimate website.
I was originally quoted a $109 price for a one-night stay. At the end of the phone call, I was told the price would be $155. When I asked why so high, I was told it was taxes and fees. When I asked them to just cancel, they offered to take off $14.99. I told them no, and to just cancel. They did. Then I saw that I had a credit card chard for the $14.99. That was not mentioned. I was shocked! NEVER NEVER NEVER use this site! If I could give a 0 on the rating, I most certainly would!
I reserved a room for one night for $110. No where throughout the process was I shown extra charges. However I was charged $184 total. I immediately within the hour called to cancel and was informed that the hotel has a "no cancelation" policy. Even though this isn't true I didn't have time to investigate and fix the problem. The reservation was for the next day. I couldn't risk canceling only to end up paying for two rooms in two hotels. I was forced to pay the ridiculous cost for one night's sleep. This web site should be shut down. I was never shown a no cancelation until the email confirmation. All of this information would have resulted in my looking elsewhere. I wish I could put a minus in front of the star rating.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!
Answer: Hello, Thank you for question. Please contact us at support@reservations.com so we can better assist you with this matter. Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing back from you. Sincerely Reservations.com Support Team
Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
