This site is a scam! I was expecting my 2-night stay to cost $222 plus taxes and fees. It was more than $388. I called IMMEDIATELY and was told some mumbo-jumbo about the second night being $200+. When I asked to cancel, I was told that the cancellation fee was over $100 so I was forced to keep the reservation. Their published cancellation fee is $19.
Booked online using their website, paid up front of course $204.00 and when I received their booking email it had me checking in on the 1st instead of the 2nd. I called them talked to customer service and they allegedly "fixed it". The next confirmation email I received from them noted that I was checking in on the 2nd.
I call the hotel to confirm my reservation on the 2nd and they showed me checking in on the 1st. Customer service at Reservations.com didn't fix a D^mn thing! Now I'm out the 204.00 due to their "policy".
Extremely dissatisfied with this group and will be spending the rest of the day writing bad reviews about them and their customer service.
Would recommend using a better know booking site in the future.
I was trying to book with a hotel directly. Some how Reservations. Com intercepted. I called them as soon as they sent me a confirmation. They wouldn't cancel my rooms. They are scammers. Run. On the confirmation it mentions that you can cancel. They took over $200 from me. Bad customer service!
This business if you go to their site will steal your money and auto charge you for reservations you do not make. They try and ensure they do not have to refund you by leaving you on hold. I was on hold for 1 hour and 55 minutes. You have to call two different numbers and their customer service reps can only repeat, i am sorry to hear that...
Be careful, when you search a hotel they have bought the service in Google that they come up first so you think you are at the actual hotel.
Stay FAR AWAY
The price I was charged was $100 more than their online quote, and they took it out of my bank account before I could see the total. They, of course, did nothing about it when i called to complain. A total ripoff. Don't use this service under any circumstances.
First of all, they make you think you're booking with the hotel, I did ask about earning points in a Marriott hotel but they mislead me. I consider the agent was not clear answering my questions, he didn't address properly my concerns, I got confused and ended up booking with them and paying fees and extra money. I think, since I am not a native English speaker I was in disadvantage. They don't have ethics, no manners. I was not sure about booking and I felt some pressure booking. I felt cheated by the agent. Never book with them. Zero stars, stay away!
Screwed up and wasn't paying attention. I could have went directly to the hotel site I was buying. I thought I was. But somehow I didn't realize I was on reservation.com. They charge 19.99 for hijacking the actual internet page you meant to go to. Should be illegal, but it is somewhat my fault for not paying attention. It is actually a scam because they have no affiliation with any hotel you purchase, and would not be able to help you in any way.
They bait and switch with a banner on the Google search box. I didn't even realize I was using them. You think you are getting the hotel directly and you aren't! In addition, they tack on extra fees that do not show up until it's too late to back out and if your travel plans change, they try to tell you that your room is non refundable even though the confirmation says it is. Shame on Google for letting them place the reservation button in the area that makes you think you are headed to the hotels website when you are actually being redirected.
1. Deceiving: they make you believe you are dealing directly with the property and it isn't so.
2. Robbers: I had to cut my trip short because of an emergency. They agreed to refund me the two days I missed as long as the hotel did as well. The hotel in question agreed. Reservations.com did not refund me the two nights. Have been giving me the run around for 4 weeks.
I thought I was booking my hotel reservation through the actual hotel but didn't realize until I got my confirmation that not only was it through this website of reservations.com but that the reservation was non-refundable. My time off request at work was denied and now I'm stuck with a 4 night hotel stay that I can't use. Customer Service wouldn't help... said all they could do was cancel my reservation but would not refund any money. I made the reservation after working a night shift which was not a good decision on my part as I missed the fine print of "non-refundable" but most reputable companies care about Customer Service and try to work out a mutually agreeable solution. It's near where my son is starting college in the Fall, so not like I won't need future reservations. I will never use their website again to make hotel reservation.
September 24th, I did reservation and when I called (25 th) to cancel, the receptionist gave me many options(not refund) and finally she hang up. She is very impolite.
I suggest you reservation with booking, trivago, Expedia but NEVER NEVER with reservation. Com
This is a small low-end company with no respect for customer. I travel a lot for work and vacation and I never received a bad service like that.

I ended up on this site thinking I was calling the hotel directly. They charged a 19.99 "service fee" for each of the rooms I booked. I cancelled within 15 minutes after realizing the information was not right. Apparently the service fee is nonrefundable. Horrible policies and customer service.
Please notice if you are booking through the actual hotel of this reservations.com crap, I thought it was booking on the actual hotel and not I am charged in US dollars and paying way more that I would if I booked direct at the hotel. It is also non refundable so you can't get your money back even if you try to cancel a month in advance. I was in a hurry when I was trying to book and made a very pricy mistake
I booked a stay at a nearby hotel during a snow storm. They claimed the hotel had only 3 rooms left. I paid 251.00 dollars. After thinking about it I called the hotel directly they stated they has plenty of rooms and the price was 79.00 dollars for a room. I went to get a refund from them they denied it. The only reason I booked it was because I thought the site was for the hotel itself. The google search brought me right to reservations.com. I will be filing a other complaints due to there deceptive business practice's. Buyer beware.
Horrible customer service. After booking I received a text message with no confirmation number. When i called reservations. Com to confirm my booking and get a confirmation number they hung up on me 4 times then put me on hold for 20 minutes. I asked them to email me my hotel booking information and they said it will take 24 hours to receive the booking information. I ended up calling the hotel directly and having them email me my reservation confirmation.
I like how you can do just about anything online now so when I heard about Reservations.com I didn't hesitate to use it when we were planning our vacation to visit the Grand Canyon. I simply looked for a hotel near the Grand Canyon, chose the Best Western, got a good price for it (thanks so much!) and we were good to go! Talk about shortcuts!
If you are in Canada, they will tell you that they are quoting you in CDN dollars, when in fact, they are quoting in US dollars and blatantly lying to you. It is very difficult to understand them, because their English is terrible. They put the amount through on your credit card before you even complete the call AND they charge you an extra US$15 for using their service, but they don't mention that on the phone. We have been battling with these people for two weeks now and they just ignore our requests. Avoid these people at all costs!
Reservations.com uses "sharp" practices to get reservations through them. I didn't realize I was using them when trying to book at the Comfort Inn. They indicated that it was the hotel, but it was a "boilerroom" operation. It was hard to hear what they were saying due to the background noise and the accent of the customer service rep. The room, with the additional fees, was more expensive than going direct to the hotel. Also, I was not able to cancel or even change the reservation date. They do not respond to phone calls or emails through their site. I learned a tough lesson when booking on line hotel rooms. Unfortunately it cost me $175.
I was misled to their platform while trying to book a hotel (Macdonald Hotel in Windsor, UK). They added enormous levels of fees. The hotel agreed to cancel the booking and re-book at the rack rate which was significantly lower. These crooks are refusing to return the funds and on top of it are refusing to provide a reciept even stating I paid a cancel fee. This is preventing me from getting reimbursed (this was work travel). Avoid these crooks at all costs!
We booked a hotel in Portland OR and where charged for a hotel in Argentina.
When we called, they said it is a non refundable.
Internet scam and I am surprised they are still in business.
Do not use reservations.com for any of your bookings EVER!
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
