First time I stay at this hotel contacted the hotel direct great service and room rate. Was on the road for the return trip made the mistake of accidentally contacting Reservation.com was told only one room left at the rate of $109. Because my room was handled third party I could not get my usual discounted rate.On top of that I was charged $15.00 dollars for service charge. And hotel was almost empty as this was a Monday.Don't use this company.
Did not realized till too late that I had used Reservations.com to book a one night stay in NH. Paid more for the room than I would have directly, AND paid an additional fee that had not been evident to me when I made the reservation. I feel I was misled and ripped off.
Thought I was calling the hotel as these bastards are listed above them and make it look like the hotel you are searching. I specifically asked for a certain hotel in Shawnee Oklahoma and they booked me for Shawnee Kansas, nearly 400 miles away. No change allowed even after i called 5 minutes after originally booking. All they could say was "dont you know someone who could use the reservation?" Are you kidding me.
Deserve 0 stars! Tried to cancel a reservation, they refused after putting me on hold for 30 min and told me to get approvals from the hotel, which I did, and then told me to wait 7-10 business days and then refused my cancellation! They kept my $190 and didn't even credit me for another date! Awful company!
I, too, was tricked into making a reservation through this site. It was not made clear I was going to be charged 19.99 for it. They refused to give me back my money even though I cancelled the reservation. I called my credit card company and they denied reservations.com the $19.99. I think many card companies understand this company is a scam.
I too, thought I was dealing directly with the hotel on-line (Quality Suites Airport Milwaukee), but only after I realized I made a mistake on my reservation and called the hotel directly to change it, did I realize I was being hijinked to reservations.com.
When I tried to modify the reservation I was told of their policy and I am now out 1000. 00. Tried working with my credit card company, actually had a 3 way conversation with Capital One, myself, and reservations.com who finally said (after being on hold for 2 hours, that I would be refunded some of the money-never happened). The hotel management was wonderful and told reservations.com to cancel my reservation and give me a refund-they still did not. After numerous emails and phone calls, I am done working with them, however, I am now retired, and have lots of time, and will be doing whatever it takes, that this does not happen to anyone else.
They (reservation.com) charge me 216.00 for one night at the " The Guest House " on Elvis Presley Blvd in Memphis TN. When I arrived at the hotel to check in the hotel clerk told me it takes thirty minutes for the reservation to come to there computer after the reservation is made. I waited an hour and half just for the hotel to me they don't see the reservation... We called They never sent proof of the reservation or an email showing payment for the suite. I was so mad because me and my boyfriend needed this time to rekindle and restarted. We drive home with ark ward silence. #SAD
I made a reservation and within minutes had to cancel it. When I called they didn't want to talk to anyone unless their reservation was within 7 days. I selected the one that said I was within 7 days. There is no reason you can't cancel prior to 7 days. They just give you back even less money. Then they charged me the service fee and yes I read they did that prior but I just made the reservation thought they could waive it. I could see if it had been days. They are a terrible service/website and would not use them again. I went to the hotel itself and did way better. Much nicer as well.
I thought I was making a reservation through the hotel website itself. Turns out it was a third party. The final charge was almost $100 over the previewed price and there was no screen to authorize the final amount. Once submitted the charge came up and I called immediately to cancel and report the mistake. They refuse to refund me. This site is a total scam!
This website is completely fantastic, last month i booked a hotel via this website and i was extremely pleased. Very user friendly website with easy payment gateway. It allows to compare the hotels available in that place and pick the best. The hotel that we booked via this site was extra-ordinary, in short it was a amazing trip for me, so, definitely i am going to use it for the next time. Recommendable
I booked a room at the Omni Chicago through reservations.com. It was my first time using the site and I was pleasantly surprised at the excellent experience i had. The website does charge a fee of $14.99 convenience fee but it was very well worth it. The site had lots of hotel choices in the area of Chicago that I was visiting and great prices. The site also provided superb customer service. The rep was fast, polite, and experienced. Overall, i will be using this website for future bookings for travel.
This web site is a total RIPOFF, they have the best marketing staff in the world that can redirect your inquiry to themselves rather than the hotel. Once there the site looks exactly like the hotel's and you continue on as if you are "talking" to the hotel. Once they have your information including your credit number, they tack on un-Godly surcharges. Too late, you have been had! All of their rates are non refundable and you absolutely can not get any part of your money back. I am sure they whistle a happy tune on the way to the bank with your scammed money.
I called to check if the hotel had a shuttle service. They said only one room was left and I rushed to book it. They charged me an additional $20. Plus, the rseveration never was made. They stole my credit card info. I never got the confirmation email. Spending several hour on the phone. Terrible
Do not fall prey to this group. They have a sneaky way of presenting themselves like you are really making the reservation directly thru the hotel website, but you are not. My hotel has a one day cancellation policy and they are holding me to a 8 day cancellation policy. I have a change of plans and called customer service and they want to charge me for one night along with their other BS fees. They are very rude and a horrible company to do business with. If they try to charge you, just call your credit card company and lodge a complaint which I will be doing and they normally will research the dispute and agree to credit you back your money. Dont ask them for a refund as they will not offer anything, just go direct to your credit card company and report them as a fraudulent website.
We used reservations.com and were charged $36.06 more than the hotel's pricing. I booked the reservation on 6/22/19. I checked out of the hotel on 6/23/19 and the hotel gave me a receipt indicating the lesser charge. Reservations.com explained this discrepancy as pricing fluctuations and would not refund the difference. Do not use this site unless you want to pay more than the hotel actually charges for the room. In addition, the initial price reservations.com displays is higher than the price they actually charge.
Never received my confirmation email.! Was not told room was non refundable!
When I called to try to cancel my reservation due to tornado warning where hotel is I was not able to cancel room said there was no warning at my house. Duh people do you really want me to knowingly drive towards the tornado?
Will not call them again for a reservation!
98$ down the drain.
DO NOT USE. They do not disclose their additional fees. They do not really pass on requests to the hotel. They do not guarantee the hotel will honor reservation.com's 'reservations' The Customer service is useless, and slow. The image below shows where they say their web page discloses the fee. LIARS.
Just did GOOGLE search for Boston Grand Hyatt. Search came up "Boston Grand Hyatt" no "bookings.com" on the listing. Clicked and went to site again no "Bookings.com" only official Hyatt logo. Clicked on $289 "RESERVE NOW" completed reservation credit card billed $388.
My intention was to book directly with Hyatt so cancelled over phone. Waste of my valuable time!
There were hidden, undisclosed fees and there no notification on phone of No changes or refunds. It is only after I received my confirmation that these "terms" were disclosed. And wouldn't you know it, it was the one time I needed to be able to change a reservation because of an emergency.
When I went to make a room reservation I somehow got directed to this site, I was trying to book directly with the hotel. So I didn't realize I was dealing with a 3rd party. My room being $119 I knew there would be taxes but by the time I booked it and received how much they charged me it was not at $176. I immediately called to cancel. Nope, they won't let you, and if you do you are still charged their $20. I should have gone with Expedia, they never charge an extra fee and will let you cancel. Finally, at the end of the conversation, they said you will not be able to cancel this reservation even if there's an emergency. They are thieves!
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
