Totally mislead about $15 fee When I went to cancel, as they said I could with no penalty, they would not return my $15 service fee. I was duped. No telephone # to speak with someone. Cowards hide behind e mail response. Never again
The website is clever designed to mislead you & trick your $$$! Then no refund, left you no where with Indian call center!
July 11,2021: We intended to book One 2 bedrooms Condo unit for our family, 2 adult 1 child.
The site then asked RM 1 & RM 2 guest names, I then put down my & my wife's names by not knowing the booking was for 2 units booking, mistakenly. Called in right away to correct the booking, was told no refund at all! Then was directed to contact hotel The Village at Squaw Valley. After few days and many calls with hotel, we then learned hotel has booking"s" from Expedia not Reservations.com; and had totally different booking #. We were provided 1 confirmation, but hotel has 2 from Expedia instead. Expedia could not recognize our booking #s when we were told to contact them for refund. It was a horrible experience & so stressful! The worst part was - they did nothing at all! No refund from Expedia nor Reservations.com!
This is a horrible site for booking a hotel room. They change you double the rate at the hotel. Just go to the hotel site and make sure it the true hotel site and NOT RESERVATION.COM. That's how they got me. When I called to explain the mistake it's was as if they did care, they said that they would still charge my card and they were sorry for MY misunderstanding. There is a special place for deceiving sites like this. The front desk personnel even said it has been a big problem for them as well.
If you are into paying too much for a room, paying crazy fees And a $14.99 service charge, only to get a NON-REFUNDABLE reservation, these are your guys.
I thought I was on the Country Inn and Suites site until it was too late. Calling them 2 minutes after hitting the "book" button was a complete waste of time. All the person on the other end of the line could say was non-refundable. If you find yourself on their site, close the page as quickly as you can.
These folks are scum!
Thought I was booking direct with the hotel. It wasn't until the conference I was going to changed their dates that I realized I booked through reservations.com, and I was told I had to still "pay the hotel total bill and fee" despite needing to cancel and despite it being nearly a year out in advance. The customer service rep(s) were incredibly rude and I was put on hold again and again, as an identical voice would tell me they were "the supervisor" and "could not help." It appears no one there can help, more than that, it appears as if this is one giant scam.
Stay away! Do not use this website. Booked a hotel reservation (thought it was the hotel website) for August and just cancelled and there is a booking fee of 14.99. You will not receive this back! Absolute Scam!
Booked 4 rooms, when I called the day of my flight to Vegas to make a change. I was told I only have 2 confirmed rooms. I argued with the gal for 20 minutes and told her I have the credit card charge to confirm, but the reservation did not show up in their system. I then hung up and called the Golden Nugget and they confirmed there was only two rooms not four. I had to scramble and book two more rooms at a substantially higher price. I then show up at the hotel and now I have 6 rooms, my reservation now magically appears. I called customer service and get the 20 minute hold, back on with customer service, then on hold again for another 20 minutes. Total scam!
Recently booked a hotel stay with reservations.com and afterwards noticed that it was only for one night instead of two. I tried to change it and it would not let me so I called the hotel and made the corrections. I was then charged twice for the first night and they refused to refund me stating stating it was past the cancellation policy timeframe. I explained repeatedly that I did not cancel the reservation, I extended the stay and it did not matter. The customer service representative was rude and would not let me talk to a supervisor, and then finally she hung up on me. Luckily the hotel was really understanding and they refunded me after I explained what had happened. Do not use this company! They are terrible and they even charge a $14.99 "service fee" for doing NOTHING! Terrible experience all the way around and I wish I would have read these reviews first.
Terrible customer service. No accountability for poor service and no attempt to right their wrong. I wish I had seen these poor reviews before I booked with them. Save yourself the headache and stay away from this company.
They require 1 week cancellation. I had a medical emergency and was unable to travel. They had 0 flexibility on their rigid cancellation policy, despite the hotel providing cancellations up to 48 hours prior to the start date.
Pre charged for two nights at upscale hotel. Thought I was booking direct. Flight cancellation led to a one day change was charged by site contrary to hotel policy for night I did not check in. Never use!
Reservations.com has Terrible customer service! I called them because they charged my visa more then what was suppose to be charged and while I was talking to their customer service about it, she hung up on me. She refused to correct the overcharge. I will never use them again.
Charging hidden fees and fees after giving your card information. Looking like the original hotel site but charging you of 20% hidden fees plus 17 or 19 as service fees.so you pay 94 dollars for what you can get for 55
Reservations.com charged an extra $100.00 more than what the hotel receipt stated the amount of the room was. When I called customer support, they said "oh, the hotel is not allowed to show you the actual amount the room cost." Don't book with them, they will rip you off.
I did not get a conformation email when I booked my hotel in Ashland, Oregon. In addition, this company charges a $14.99 booking fee. My advise is to stay away and use more reputable booking sites that are free.
This site will charge you a 15 dollar service fee that no other site charges and that fee will not show up until after they run your card. By that point, they will not even allow for a cancellation or refund. Go to Hotels.com, or really any place else.
Charged $200.0 for a $135.00 a night stay. I cancelled the reservation but instead they changed it twice. They have no customer service, the number they list doesn't even work. Stay far far away... would give them a negative 10 stars.
We booked a room accidentally, and immediately called reservations.com. They refused to help so we asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor said that the hotel would need to authorize it, and I had to have the name of someone at the hotel. I got the information for reservations.com. reservations.com still refused to do anything, they said they would cancel the reservation, but we would get charged the full amount
The people are rude. They hung up on me. They lied to me saying it was hotel policy when in fact the hotel stated is was not their policy. I will never use their company again and recommend no one to use them ever. They apparently don't care about people who use their services or care to have repeat business.
I haven't had any bad experience with Reservations.com after using it for the three times I've had to book a hotel out of town. I'm very satisfied with it and will continue to use it in the future. Keep it up!
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
