Watch out! I tried to book a room with Red Lion to find out that when you call you will get transferred to Expedia. However, they will not identify themselves as such and are even working under the name of Reservations.com. I was not told that my reservation was through Expedia/Reservation.com until I had a problem and needed to cancel my room. I was then told from the hotel that my reservation was through Expedia and sorry! Expedia told me they knew nothing of my reservation, would not honor Red Lions cancellation policy, and charged me in full for a room, but not stopping there, Reservation.com even charged me in full for my parent's room. I have been unable to get my money back. When I filed fraud charges with my credit card it was Expedia that was defending Reservations.com. They are working as one. DO NOT TRUST Red Lion Hotels or Expedia/Reservation.com! I lost out on a lot of money.
Do not use this company! A complete scam. When you all it sounds like you're booking through the hotel, but you're not. They charge you for using their service and don't mention it to you in the call. Booked a reservation with these idiots and when I went to the hotel, they had cancelled my reservation. Still trying to get my 200.00 dollars back. These people are the worst.
I cancelled my stay with Reservations.com at the Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls, ON. I cancelled on time and with an email confirmation cancellation. It has been (3) months still waiting for a refund... Stay away from Reservations.com is what I suggest.
I loved that Reservations.com shared helpful tips about choosing the perfect hotel for my vacation. It shows how they care about their clients and it truly made hotel reservation a convenient experience for me. I will surely book my accommodation through Reservations.com on my next holiday!
Ever since I've tried Reservations.com for a quick family getaway in Florida, it's been the only booking site I've used ever since. They provide instant booking confirmation so you won't have to lose a hotel room to another guest ever again upon check-in.
I had a guest book with reservations.com They linked them with Agoda which I do not care for as well.
So upon check in the card on file declines. The guest and I spent 45 mins trying to get help to check in. They kept transferring us to different people who had no idea how to fix the issue. It was very frustrating for both the guest and I.
I accidentally booked a room that was nonrefundable for 5 months from now. When I received the confirmation 2 mins after the reservation was made I realized my mistake. I immediately called them to cancel that reservation and I would re book through them for the higher nonrefundable rate. They would not allow it. Do not use this company for your hotel needs.
I made a reservation with reservation.com by accident, I called within the hour to cancel and was told its non-refundable so I can't cancel my reservation? All that can be done is a request to be placed and someone will contact me in 7-10 days to "see" if it can be cancelled? This is a horrible way to do business! DO NOT book with this site, ever!
I just happened to make a booking on reservation.com only to find out the the same booking is available at a much lower price on the hotels offical website or even booking.com.
Worst every customer service, bluntly resusing to price match indicates they are absolutely sham.
They charge ridiculous fees. A $54 room at the travelodge in cordele, ga ended up $89. They added a $20 for "taxes and fees" - $10 more than on the actual travelodge site, plus another non-refundable $15 fee. When i called to question the charges and cancel the reservation, they said the $15 was not refundable, but they would waive it if i kept the reservation, but their other fees were also higher. The same room booked directly with travelodge was $65 - $24 cheaper!
No mention of the $14.99 service fee and you increased the cost of taxes when you "estimated" them. The hotel website tells you exactly what the taxes will be, but you increased that. No mention of non-refundable/non-cancellation clause. I clicked on the hotel and didn't know that I was redirected through your site. You are frauds. I would like to see a criminal investigation of your business practices. I encourage all the dissatisfied reviewers here to go on social media to warn as many people as we can to stay away from Reservations.com.
Do not fall into this trap! If you need to change your reservation (different date, different room, etc.) they will not change the reservation but rather rebook you so they can charge you their $19.99 fee for each reservation! Do yourself a favor and just use the hotel's actual site and stay clear of this site! Even after contacting customer service, they just tell you that is the fee they charge. Horrible experience!
I thought I was booking directly with the hotel, but later found out it was Reservations.com. It is terrible. The customer service people are not educated on the properties and misled me on my booking. I didn't realize it until it was after the cancellation cut-off. When I called back to see if they could rebook or help in any way... nothing. All I can do now is warn others to SLOW DOWN and make sure you book with someone else with more integrity and customer service!
Do not and I will say it again do not book through this company. I reserved a room and then had an accident on my tractor and was usable to make the trip. They will not cancel your reservation. They ask for proof of your accident. I don't have proof other than a swollen ankle/knee. To get any money back you need to provide a PayPal account. I don't have one and don't want one. Never again. Look up my reservation from my email.
This company disregards American law. It makes no refunds. They keep a customer's money even if a medical emergency prevents the customer from traveling. Always book reservations directly with a hotel: call the hotel—_don't_ use the internet!
They lied about shuttle service, lied about fee for parking, lied about breakfast. When we called, played games of not being able to hear us. Just horrible, never again. Missed our flight had to get a taxi.
We tried to reserve a room directly with a hotel not realizing that the site defaulted to reservations.com. The date I entered for our stay defaulted to today's date instead of our actual date of stay. Not 3 minutes after booking when I went in and tried to change it they said there was no way to return any funds and to contact the hotel. The hotel says they have no control over 3rd parties, So were stuck with a reservation and out money. We will pursue and hope to have remedy, Do not use this fly by night, rip off company, Also, very disappointed that Best Western is affiliated with this company. Won't book through them again!
I have made many reservations with different hotels. That were refundable. Not one charged a service fee. Except reservations.com. Almost $70 Canadian! Not impressed
These are just Burglars. I mistakenly booked at Hilton in Greenville NC instead of Hilton in Greenville SC. I didn't realize that I booked through this website. I called the hotel and explained what happened. The Hotel understood the matter and cancelled the reservation. However, this agency refusing to process my refund even after the hotel confirmed to them the cancellation. They sent me over 10 emails stating the billing department is reviewing the case.
I hope you don't make the same mistake I made. Always double check that you are making reservation on the website of the hotel.
Great customer care, fast response, easy navigation of their site and the best prices for the hotels. Detailed information is provided about the kinds of hotels available and they have up 250,000 thousand hotel listings with the best recommendation. You can find anything on their site.
Great initiative and i will recommend them all the time.

Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
