Made a reservation in April thru Reservations.com. First told that the reservation could be cancelled and was refundable. Then at booking told it was non refundable. Representative said there were no hotels in the area and this was the last room. It was a major function and I did not want to lose the room. After booking called the hotel directly. Rooms were available. This company only wants to book using lies and deceit. DO NOT FALL FOR THE SCAM.
They owe me a credit of $300. I have the email from them stating that. It's been 3 months and the CS and support just say they are waiting for the billing department. I don't think they intend to pay.
Reservations.com uses a bait and switch operation to fool you. Once they have your name, address & credit card info. They notify you of their terms and conditions. This was not provided or accessible before purchase. NO REFUNDS, NO CANCELATIONS, no how no way. Even if it is 2 minutes after you make it. A service fee of 19.99 and tax of $80.00 will be added to your charges and the room price of $74.00 is only for the first night. The remainder of your stay will be $130.00 per night.
I did a search for "Days Inn.com" Thought I was at their website. Reservations.com really fooled me and took my money. I received nothing for my payment.
I did not even get off the phone with these people. I made a reservation and at check out the price changed. So, I told the agent it should be $159 not $209. He told of the fees, taxes and so on. And I said - not interested. But he charged me $14.99, anyway. Once they have your credit card. Watch out.
You may have went to the main address of the place you want to stay and put the exact date and time of stay in. Then a pop up tells you that they have this offer! Do not ACCEPT without checking your dates! They will say a no refund but you know what date you requested. IT IS Different! Then you do not get your money back. They suck and will F you!
I was surprised that the amount had to be paid in full. There use to be a time when you paid for services after the fact. I do hope the Hotel is up to our standards and that we don't have any issues. I normally just call a Hotel make a reservation, give a card # and pay upon departure. This is something I don't like and will never use again,
I booked a room advertised as $173 a night. When I
Completed the reservation I was charged $276. Within five minutes I requested to cancel the reservation and get a refund. They didn't agree to refund me neither to waive the charge of a fees that were not disclosed.
I went to the Ritz Carlton hotel site and put in my days of needing a room in Atlanta GA. I thought I made the reservation directly with the hotel only to find out I was scammed by Reservations.com. I immediately called them and they told me they would refund my money. I spoke to 2 managers, one with the name Patel. I was told they would give me a courtesy refund since it was just made. I didn't call my credit card company because I was told by 2 managers I would be refunded.
I just received my statement, no refund and they charged me a service fee! Watch yourself! This place is a con for sure. The CEO claims to have all these awards. They are a fraud as well!
Reservations.com is a fraud and they will steal from you!
I was browsing the prices on their site for an airport hotel I use regularly but it had no room availability because reservation companies had bought the rooms. I did not make a reservation yet they put a pending charge on 26.15 cdn on my card! I called and they said they'll reverse the charge. Fine, but why was it there at all?
They wanted to charge me a bunch of extra money for a reservation and then when I wanted to cancel the agency said I would be blocked or black balled from 250,000. Hotels across the world and can never book with them or any of those hotels ever again? What, I travel a lot and will never use them. Scammers with hidden fees.
We got charged more on here than if we would of just waiting and called the hotel ourselves. Lesson learned. Just make your own reservations thru the place you want to stay... and the reason they don't let you cancel is for that very reason you will realize at the end they cost more...
I visited few sites before and stopped on this one because I found out about some great deals. Made reservation and call the hotel few days before just to check if everything is fine. I had a great trip and even better time in hotel spa. I'm so glad I stopped on this site because they have a large range of hotel lists.
I agree and would like to confirm that this website/company is a scam. I accidentally booked through their site like many others. Although I'm almost ok that their deceptive practices, which appear to be supported by Google and other search engines, caused me to be charged an extra and unnecessary fee, my bigger issue is that the hotel I booked with would have honored my change. Reservations.com would not. This is criminal and I will make sure to pursue this despite the chances of it netting out little results. I hope these reviews push even a small amount of business elsewhere.
Update.
We got our full refund. Costumer service emailed after this post. Still not sure why I never got any others on any emails.
First post
I made reservations using this site for the Tropicana. They sai they would email me the info but never did. They charged me right away. I called back and asked for the reservation to be resent. We tried different emails and nothing. Finally we got fed up and cancelled. It's going to take to get us our refund. They are trying to take out booking fees without telling us. Never use.
Thought I was calling the hotel and the agent would not admit otherwise. They do not tell you they charge a 15 fee and they also charge double the state tax. This is an illegal scam and should be stopped. Avoid these crooks at all cost.
We work for a hotel company based in Canada and we have many customers who have been tricked booking through this company. They do not make an actual reservation for your stay and as they take payment on booking it is impossible to get a refund
Please never use this company very bad service. I certify that this review is based on my own experience and that I am in no way affiliated with this business, and have not been offered any incentive or payment from the business to write this review.
I made a reservation with them and asked about the high charges. ( over $30) above advertised rate. They said it was due to taxes. They lied. Actual taxes were $4. When I cancelled 30 minutes later they refused to refund the extra charges.
Read the other reviews! I wish I had before booking a room. First of all, they charged about $100 more than if I booked through the hotel. When I arrived at the hotel, they didn't have our reservation, the hotel was booked solid, and the confirmation numbers made no sense to anyone. When I called Reservations.com, I was on hold for about 40 minutes before I got a human who spoke English poorly and who I could not understand! I told them I was giving them a poor review and they should refund some of the money because of the aggravation I suffered. They must have been laughing at me since they obviously don't care.
Like some others, reservations.com came up when I tried to book a room at a Canadian hotel. On the site to check rates and book, nowhere is it mentioned that rates are in US dollars. It was only AFTER completing the booking is USD mentioned in the fee details. I still have the screen shots to prove it.
Please avoid this site at all cost.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.

Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.

Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
