I too have been scammed by this company, I tried to dispute through my Discover card, but this outfit is a professional scammer and they cannot help me either. Has anyone had any success in getting your money refunded?
Deceptive web connection, you are not dealing with Motel6 (or other hotel). Higher rates. Lies about free cancellation. They immediately debit your card instead of holding the reservation and add $ 19.99 on top that is not refundable.
Pure rip off.
I had the worst customer service experience of my life today. I booked a hotel room (one night) on this site as advertised at $326. I immediately got an email confirming the booking and charging my credit card for over a $100 more. I spent about four hours dealing with "customer service" which was extraordinarily frustrating (limited English, not particularly helpful). I finally ended up contacting the GM of the hotel where I had booked. He was kind enough to cancel the reservation. Still Reservagitons.com is saying it's going to take five to 10 business days to return my money. They should be investigated. Now.
I needed an emergency hotel room on the night of 12/30/23, after helping my sister clean up after a flood.
I did not want to drive the 2.5 hours tired and sleepy. I booked the hotel 9.53 PM. They booked me a hotel room at a Super 8. Knowing I would be getting into the room late I requested a late arrival.
When I arrived at the Super 8 at 4:12 am Sunday morning very tired, the Hotel was closed.
So I was forced to find a other hotel. They did not want to refund my room
This is a awful service.
Horrible! Do not use this site. Worst customer service ever! Gave me a run around for 2 hours with no results. Incompetent staff has no idea what they are doing. Just tried to reschedule, After 2 hours on the phone 3 separate times I was advised it couldn't be done.
Worst experience on the phone I've ever had. Everyone there is dumber then a box of rocks and unprofessional. This place needs serious help. Dont book with them unless you want robbed and lied to. And no, I'm not exaggerating.
Be careful - it says no cancelation but that means you also can't make changes. So don't make a mistake in the dates you enter.im out $400 because of how unforgiving the process is.seeing all the negative reviews should have tipped me off. Nobody's fault but my own for trusting a site I used before. Well that's over.
Not sure how they can legally get away with their nonrefundable policy, especially when you are trying to make the change 4 months in advance. Closest thing I have seen to a scam without legal recourse.
Ok, it's our fault that we missed the "Ad" indicator on Google when searching for a room using a cellphone. However, I should have been suspicious when we could hardly understand the rep on the phone.
It got worse when he said they don't offer discounts (we thought we were talking to Wyndham, not some third party). Reservations says "Our rates at the time of booking, are among the lowest rates you will find online..." Not so -- we paid $75 for a $64 room which would have qualified for an additional 20% discount. He quoted us one price, then another, and when he finally got his act together, he gave us a still higher price. I know, I should have just hung up -- that's my fault.
I told the rep where we wanted to stay, I said it twice, and he still tried to book us into a hotel in the WRONG STATE.
Just stay away from these folks -- they aren't doing you any favors
Booked a hotel in Canada not knowing I would get charged in American dollars. Tried to cancel within 5 minutes and they wouldn't do it. Said there was a non-refundable booking fee and other charges. Very rude customer service. Also the place had great pictures on the website but was a totally disgusting dump. Beware!
Booking at Reservations.com is safe and secure and you won't have anything to worry about. Just saying it right here especially for those who're going to be using this site for the first time. I've used this to book a hotel in Chicago and in Miami and both times the site have not let me down.
I had a quick and painless experience getting a reservation cancelled. The agent was very nice and clear in the process. I would not hesitate to use these guys if I truly understood the value-add. Maybe as a club member (like Hotels.com). Definitely better than I was expecting. They've got my trust if I need them.
I booked through them only to realize that I could not get an invoice that could be submitted for expensing my business trip. How more ridiculous can you get... Avoid at all costs and their customer service is horrible. Are they a fly by night operator?
My husband booked a hotel through this company. He was very confused thought he was going directly through the hotel. Our travel plans were unexpectedly changed. Called to switch the hotel by one night and in plenty of time - more than one week away. They refused to cancel - per them, it is their policy which my husband did not see until after he booked. They won't cancel either. Could not get a hold of a manager or supervisor - imagine that. Lady had a thick accent. This company doesn't give a $#*! about the customer. Go to their website they make it sound like sucha great company. No flexibility - what a waste of money! Also called the motel - they said they can't change anything either. So don't make any mistakes or have something happen that is out of your control - no help here. Just $$$$ going to this company.
Do not ever use this service. I thought I was linked to my chosen hotel website and would have never used this website for making a reservation. No refunds and money is taken from account when reservation is made. Horrible and dishonest business. Would not recommend! Would give minus 5 stars if available as a choice.
I called what I thought was the Ramada (Google had the res'. Com # next to the Ramada name), the agent posed as a Ramada employee (even when I asked them directly who they worked for), didn't tell me about a $20 fee, and didn't reserve my room properly. There was no room for me, so I had to find another hotel. When I called back, I was assured a refund on both the room charge and reservation fee, then got an email telling me I would receive neither. They pose as something they're not, provide no real service, and make unauthorized charges and false assurances when confronted. As I said, fraud.
Just another consumer that got ripped off by reservations.com. My bill said $47, when I clicked the confirm button, I got charged $70, plus another $8 when I checked in. Got the run around from customer no service, then the cold shoulder. They don't care. You'll get redirected to this site thinking your using another, buyer beware! Contact the BBB and the Nevada Attorney Generals Office and complain. If enough people stand up for themselves, something may get done about this fraudulent company.
Misleading site which came up at top of Google listing with url that made it seem like it was the hotel I was searching for. Tried to book - page just reloaded... figured site was working. Later in day I see a $14.99 charge on my credit card. No confirmation email no nothing... scam artists.
Funds come directly off your CC or bank account however you choose to pay - there is a non refundable fee of $19.99 even with a cancellation. Cancellation takes 10 business days to return funds. Had to Call in to call centre twice because the reservation wasn't actually cancelled. Don't know how I ended up with reservations.com as I thought I was booking directly through the hotel - very bad! Should cease and assist - this company is owned by Expedia apparently.
Would have given zero stars if possible. Booked 3 rooms 6 months ago. Travel plans required cancellation of 1 room. Was told entire reservation needed to be cancelled and would need to check availability at hotel to rebook. Interesting that it took the agent seconds to tell me there was no availability. This was even though I still had a reservation for 3 rooms. How does that work? Will not use reservations.com again.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
