If I could rate 0 stars I would. My wife booked a hotel in England for one night on reservations.com. The confirmation came back with a booking for 15 nights. An immediate call to their customer support resulted in nothing. "You have to call your credit card and refuse the charges" "We can't do anything because (this was Saturday) the hotel manager will not be in until Monday" As if the hotel goes without a manager on duty for two days. Will never use this site again.
The prices advertised are fraudulent. The hotel adds hidden fees at the last moment. The customer service is terrible and they would refuse to cancel a booking even within minutes of making it.
Displays itself as the actual hotel website and until you are done and have received a confirmation email do you know who you are dealing with, No refund available, support email undeliverable and cost for room $30 more than the hotel offered.
This company are scammers. They rely in Canada on displaying low rates but the rates are based in USD. They cover themselves by displaying at the very bottom right hand corner in small print that rates are USD.
I didnt realize until just after I booked. Called them immediately but the entire transaction was non refundable and they hung up on me
I got $200 back from visa.
You also need to complain to the hotel themselves for doing business with reservation.co
Like many others here, I thought I was booking directly with the hotel and accidentally booked the wrong night. Turns out it was reservations.com and even though I called literally a minute after booking they are not letting me change the reservation to the right day for exactly the same price. Not to mention that they charged me $75 in fees over what they said the reservation was going to cost (literally - the room was listed at $152 and my card was charged for $216 due to a $14 service fee PLUS $49 in fees and taxes!). I spoke to customer service and am waiting for a call back from a supervisor but based on these other reviews I am not holding my breath. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
On 11/30/2017 I wrote that Reservations.com scammed me like many others that have written a review. PLEASE NOTE... I continued to followed up with "Reservations.com" and after many emails they decided to do the right thing and refund my money. Persistence Pays. Now I am looking for the credit on my statement.
Again... I have been calling direct to the motels and been getting a better price. Always check online first, then make the call and use the best pricing you found online... and offer a little less. Better pricing... and refundable should you need to change your plans. Good luck.
Y'all are the worst company i have ever booked through. I recommend to NEVER book through this company. I travel all the time and this company is the worst company you could possibly book through from their customer support, to their management, to their policy of 0% refund
Booked a hotel with what I thought was the hotel booking site. Turned out to be Reservations.com. I accidently booked the wrong dates and wanted to change this. The hotel itself said no problem, but that I had to do it through Reservations.com. I got nothing but a run around from them, with many excuses and no immediate action. Not to mention, that even though I live in BC and booked a hotel in BC they apply US costs. So what said on my reservation was $299. I actually was charged $382.! Never ever again
They charge you a non refundable fee of $14.99 without letting you know.
The booking price is higher than just calling the hotel directly.
I will never use them.
I thought I was calling the hotel directly but instead I was connected to this reservations.com. I am disgusted with them. I called them and asked for a supervisor more than once. They put me on hold for a long period, no supervisor ever came back. The operator name was Meg. (probably not her real Indian name) Bad business. El Paso TX.
Booked a hotel with them. They told me no penalties to cancel before a certain date. Called the hotel direct and got a cheaper price. Cancelled with reservations.com and I'm out $70. It's a fraud do not book through them!
I searched for my hotel and the link that popped-up read sheraton.reservations.com. The part that made this fraudulent is that they are using the name of the hotel in their URL which tricks people to think they are booking with the actual hotel. Once you submit payment, you will notice that youve paid in USD to the wrong company.
Their call centre is in the Philippines and the bulk of their calls are in regards the this misleading scam. BE AWARE!
This site is simply dishonest! Don't book with them.
Your credit card company although they know this is wrong cannot do anything because at the very very bottom of the page it does say USD, I got ripped off too!
Lesson learned! #!#!
Scam artist - I can not believe how many people have experienced the same thing and they are still getting away with it. I thought I was dealing with the hotel directly and I am Canadian and the hotel is Canadian but the site is in USD (not on the screen) and I was charge an exchange of 30% and a service charge. They are taking advantage of busy people who do not read all the fine print. My hotel shook their head and said they get complaints all the time - I asked why they do not remove themselves from being affiliated.
I have never written a bad review for a company before but this was terrible. I thought I was booking with the hotel. When I realized I was on reservations.com I thought I would just finish the transaction. I booked the room and had somehow gotten the room for the current night not the night I needed it. What happened next was a terrible almost 2 hour experience. I contacted them within 1 minute of booking to change the date. I was charged the full price for for the room. They would not fix it. I had to speak to 4 different people and no one would help me.
Stay away from this site. Worse scammers and liars I have ever seen.
In other words they are robbers
Awful!
I signed up from canada for a canadian hotel in a canadian province. When I reserved the room nowhere except at the very bottom of the page in very small very light gray print stating all prices in USD dollars. There is no way to know how much they are going to charge you unless you check your account. They will charge you twice than all other websites. THIS SITE IS A SCAM AND MISLEADING.
We also were charged almost double in taxes. When we complained, the representative said this was the first case of over charged taxes he had ever seen... I feel lucky I'm one in a million. We were also deceived by the representative stating that this was the cheapest rate that was available anywhere and everywhere and our information was stored and ready to go so no need to look any further. They also didn't disclose the $14.99 service fee. I'd be happy to join the list of complaints. This directly affects the hotels they represent. I also suggest calling the hotels to complain... you'll get further with them and maybe they will listen. With enough complaints, the hotels will take a stand.
This is the worst service ever. Completely don't recommend booking through them. After 5 times calling them and asking to send a confirmation number, there is still nothing from them. I've ask a supervisor to call me back so I get my full refund as I was over charge by 60% when I've receive my cc statement and turned out be be way more expensive then what was agreed on and never got a call from them. Now I'm at the point where I'll have to call my cc company and flag them as fraud since all I've got from them so far is a talking to a representative over there without any kind of proof.
I thought I was booking through the hotel since it appeared I was on the hotel's site. NO WHERE on the "hotel" site did it say there was a $14 fee for booking the room. After I paid for the room, it showed an additional $26. A chat window pops up asking if I need help booking the room. I explain that I don't need help booking the room, but would like to know what the extra fee is for... The response is that the fee is for helping me. Ug.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
