I booked a reservation and needed to less than two hours upon booking to cancel. I was traveling due to a family funeral and the telephone customer service agent was not helpful. He stated that they would have to contact the hotel and I would have a response within 3-5 bz days. My travel is before that time. I personally contacted the front desk of hotel and the operator verbally stated that Trip Advisor, not Reservation Counter contacted them and she confirmed that yes the reservation could be cancelled since it was more than 48 hours. So, I have to gamble if I even a room to stay in for the funeral, gamble on booking another hotel closer to my family, funeral home, graveside etc; and gamble if a last resort If I even still have this room. Very Deceptive appearing website that appeared to look like the Marriot Website and very difficult to clearly communicate with the telephone call center agent with Reservation Counter due to the foreign language barrier. Your "Weekend" staff should be able to resolve and have the authority to manage situations like this and not have to wait to contact a manager on "Monday"

It was painless and fairly easy to book. I was Disappointed that once I booked a room and wanted to upgrade to a king size that you charge a fee to un-book room even if it was immediately after booking the room. Plus I have only 1 person in the room it says 2. Because the default goes to 2 guests when booking a 2 double bed room.

The agent was charging me more than the price I was seeing on the online and did not give me a satisfying reason why. Although the agent tried to give me a second location, I was still not satisfied. When I said I will take my chances by booking online, the agent quickly hung up the phone without saying goodbye or anything.

Answer: Trying to cancel a reservation, the rote voice said it did not recognize the phone number, even though it was the same phone I used to make the reservation. Then asked if the reservation confirmation number started with an R. I said No. It asked me several more times. I kept answering No. Then it told me to call the hotel for help and hung up. Called the hotel. They said they could not cancel since the reservation was made through a third-party company. That I would have to cancel through ReservationCounter. (Oh, by the way, I had tried to use the online Cancellation page - it doesn't work.) It was very difficult to get through to anybody and there were very long waits in between. I will never use this company again.
