Thought I actually book through the hotel. These guys are sneaky, don't speak much English, rude, even though the room was initially cheaper through them, by the time they added the fees. It was the same price. I lost control because it's prepaid. I actually checked out of the room two days early and into another hotel, Just let them keep the money because they told me there was nothing I could do I had already paid. The hotels pool was Not open, no room service, no maid service, no trash pick up, no free buffet like advertised. Stay away from this company
The experience that my wife and had with Reservation counter has been extremely horrible. We spent about 40/45 mins on a reservation call to make sure that the specifics about our room, and when we arrived for Check-in after being on the road for 3+ hours, with our children mind you, the room that we supposedly reserved wasn't correct and there was a valet parking rate of 30+ dollars/day that was not brought up at all during the reservation call.
We called them trying to get this nonsense rendered, so after not being able get to rep on the phone, we demanded to speak to a manager.
The manager on the call was a waste of Mouth$&.!@" time... he says he could give us phone numbers to hotels near the one we initially booked. WTF... between my wife, myself and my children, we have 4 smartphones, so why in the hell do I need you to give me phone numbers to other hotels...

Booked a hotel room, almost immediately noticed that I had gotten the date wrong by 1 day. Called immediately and was told that there was nothing they could do for me, that I had to pay the full price of the room. I would have happily paid twenty bucks as a fee to change the date, but nope, I would be charged the full price whether I was able to go or not.

The website is deceiving. I thought I was booking a 3 night stay directly with Hilton/Hampton Inn as I am a Hilton Honors member and they have great service. Turns out I was on the reservation counter.com website. I made a mistake when I booked and immediately cancelled the reservation. They charged me for 1 nights stay plus service fee. I contacted reservationcounter.com and they would not refund it. I contacted Hilton and they wouldn't do anything either. Now I'm having my bank cancel the credit card payment. AWFUL customer service... just AWFUL.

I paid over $400 a night for a double room with breakfast included at the Marriot Santa Monica. When I arrived, the front desk person said breakfast was not included. I called reservations counter to complain. I took a screen shot of what I booked. BEWARE of this website. They tell you breakfast is included and IT IS NOT

I thought I was contacting the hotel. They never told me I couldn't cancel my hotel room. I called to cancel 2 weeks in advance. I was told initially to call the hotel and get the name of a person who told me I could cancel. Oswald at the Hilton told me they had a 2 day cancelation policy. Called and was on hold about 30 min to tell reservation counter of the 2 day policy. But no I have to wait 24-48 hours. I would never use this company. Totally sketchy

Please, Please never never use Reservation Counter. I wish I could give them a zero. When you call the hotel you want double check that you are talking to a person from that hotel and not Reservation Counter. I thought I was working with the hotel direct until half way into the call and by then I had my room so went on with the reservation. They not only made my reservation for the wrong date I can not change to the correct date or get my money back. I guess you can say they stole money from me. So sad.

I am a diabetic that just had neck and arm surgery in 02/25/20. I specifically asked if the room would accommodate 5 people and was assured it would. The room was suppose to have two queen size beds and a pull out sofa. There was two queen size beds ans a chair. I had to go to Walmart and buy a blanket to sleep on the floor because there was not any extra blankets available. I would like a supervisor to contact me. This is absurd. It was not the hotels fault that someone from this company cares more about making commission of booking the room than the customer.

Tried to move dates on reservation, they "could not" do this, total incompetence verging on fraud, on top of this they charged more than the hotel the next day. Refused to help in any form. They basically said their policy would not allow any changes, when called hotel, they said they could possibly change the dates, but needed reservation counter to call them. Reservation counter refused to even call.

I wish I could give a zero! I was not aware I was even using a reservation site. They misrepresent themselves online to make it look like You are calling the hotel themselves.
Their customer service is terrible and almost not even understandable. After I hung up with the call because the customer service agent was arguing with me, I got an email a couple days later, also arguing with me! UNBELIEVABLE! Do not use if you are considering and sorry if you accidentally used them like me.

I called to cancel my one hotel reservation due to the Coronavirus... they absolutely refused. I said this is out of our control. They refused to budge. I called the Hampton Inn & Suites in Baltimore directly. She never heard of them... looked up my reservation. She gave me a company called "Get A Room"... phone # *******200, Ext 211... call them everyone. I called... left a message. Hampton Inn also said they had my rewards #... which I did not give... they are using my credits. My next call is the credit card company to dispute... everyone CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY... PUT DISPUTES IN

I made a reservation for the Rosen Plaza Hotel and I am canceling for the coronavirus, and this company stole $ 1012 dollars from a reservation and I call to cancel because with the corona virus we cannot travel and the answer is that their policy is not to return the money.

We made reservations through here for a weekend in June. It was a 50th class reunion for my wife. We took the less expensive option of no refund for canceling. Because of the Covid-19 issue the reunion was moved another date. They would not even transfer our reservations to the new date. Sorry bunch of people!

For a refund to be authorized on a non-refundable booking, we must contact our hotel partners who will reach out to the supplier and they will in turn verify if the hotel property, who collected the full payment, agrees to authorize a penalty waiver and refund back to the consumer. When the hotel property denies a request for a penalty waiver and chooses to stick to the policies that they have dictated for the reservation, we are contractually bound to comply with their decision regarding the terms and conditions. We apologize for the unfavorable resolution.
I made a reservation thru this place during this Corona outbreak, they will not refund, they told me I had to call hotel directly, I booked thru this $#*! place... took 3 days to get ahold of anyone... If zero was an option, they would get it. AWFUL! Don't use these people. Customer service was not fair. We had to cancel a reservation the day prior to our reservation due to an event cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They won't refund because it was the day before. Seriously? We cancelled the moment our event was cancelled. We asked for our refund as it is the right thing. I only want the hotel cost, not the silly booking fee. Nope. No humanity. Do NOT use this organization. This was not us changing our minds. We cancelled due to a PANDEMIC.

This is nothing but a scam, they take your money for no services dont ever use them! I was charged $600 for nothing, I had booked with them, then cancelled, they charged. Y card anyway w no service to me and no authorization.

Answer: Trying to cancel a reservation, the rote voice said it did not recognize the phone number, even though it was the same phone I used to make the reservation. Then asked if the reservation confirmation number started with an R. I said No. It asked me several more times. I kept answering No. Then it told me to call the hotel for help and hung up. Called the hotel. They said they could not cancel since the reservation was made through a third-party company. That I would have to cancel through ReservationCounter. (Oh, by the way, I had tried to use the online Cancellation page - it doesn't work.) It was very difficult to get through to anybody and there were very long waits in between. I will never use this company again.
