The company generally enjoys a positive reputation for its user-friendly reservation process and competitive pricing, with many customers appreciating the ease of booking and the informative website. However, several concerns were raised regarding transparency, particularly about fees and cancellation policies, which left some customers feeling misled. Customer service experiences varied, with some interactions being highly praised for friendliness and helpfulness, while others indicated confusion due to communication barriers and insufficient support. Overall, while the company demonstrates strengths in convenience and pricing, it would benefit from enhancing clarity in its policies to improve customer trust and satisfaction.

I was looking for HOURS to find a honeymoon suite with a jacuzzi tub in a king size room. Found a decent one at the Holiday inn in Cocoa Beach and called the number in the search bar under the hotel. We spoke on the phone and agreed on the price of $177 for one night. When I got my confirmation email, it said for the West Palm Beach Marriott... I asked him, " Are you sure this is the one for Cocoa Beach? Holiday inn?" He said yes and I read him the itinerary number which he said was correct, then hurried me off the phone before he hung up. I checked my credit card and was charged $265 + 9.99 fee! Not even 5 min later I called back and spoke to a new agent who said it was non refundable and would connect me to Carolyn their supervisor. After 20 minutes of waiting I called again. I spoke to Jose who helped me out, but I had to book again and charge my card for the correct stay this time, but reviewed everything before paying. I still have to wait 24-48 hours for them to investigate the issue with the wrong booking to get my refund. I was dealing with this all day and thought booking a hotel would be easy but damn. Chase said they can dispute the charge but I wanna make sure I get that money back! These people caused me immense stress!
False advertising of rates. Once you click to try to book it gives you an error. Even talking to an agent and a supervisor won't get you anywhere. Their system is flawed; if you try to both two rooms at the same time it gives you a higher price than booking separately. The agents even say it is a system glitch. Save yourself time and money; don't trust them.
Thank you for your review. To provide our customers accurate pricing we request that hotels send us the most up-to-date pricing for their rooms at regular intervals. We also make an additional request at the time of check-out. Occasionally, due to the dynamic nature of hotel room rates, the price may be different at the time of check-out. Although uncommon, it would appear as though we increased the price or gave a last-minute discount. We wish the price had not gone up in your case, but we can assure you that you received the very best rate we had available at the time you booked. I'm sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused. If you

They are quick to help while making reservations... but when I comes to anything else (cancellations or refunds) no help at all!... conveniently had no records of my cancellation after being on hold for 52 minutes!... so guess what?!?... no refund!

We contacted the number that was given for the Motel 6 Dallas location and they never stated they were not the hotel. The rep i spoke with asked for my husband's credit card info which i was hesitant to give because i did not want to be charged yet. He assured me that nothing would be charged until check out and given our flight arrived at 11:59pm he stated he would mark us for late check in and we would be fine. It turned out we did not need the room and i called 24 hours in advance. I talked to Julio F. Agent ******* who stated we would not get a refund because it was against the policy. Advised him our card should have not been charged per info provided and we wld pay at checkout. I looked back at my husbands card and saw that we had not been charged yet but that we were billed a service fee of $14.99 the night I made the reservation which we were not informed of. I was lived. Asked to speak to a supervisor and after a long wait agent returns to say his supervisor Byron would call me back within 15 minutes. Needless to say no call. They never cancelled the reservation and the next day charged my card. VERY DECEPTIVE. BEWARD OF THIS COMPANY. MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT CONTACTING THEM. HAD TO END UP DISPUTING WITH CREDIT CARD COMPANY. POOR POOR SERVICE.

This is the worst 3rd party booking company I have ever used. Needed to check out a day early and they refused to refund 1 night. Please don't use this scam of a service!

Booked through this company by accident ( my fault) however, when we checked in the room WAS NOT CLEANED after the last guests. Totally a hotel issue, however, reservation counter doesn't refund for any reason including DISGUSTING UNHEALTHY ISSUES. There is a pandemic, uncleaned hotel room are utterly unacceptable. As such, reservation counter should refund our money. Follow up with Hilton Home2Suites on 77N in Charlotte NC doesn't deserve the Hilton name.
Thank you for your review. As an independent online booking company we purchase our inventory from multiple hotel partners and suppliers. This inventory has had all terms, conditions, pricing, and cancellation policies dictated by the hotel at the time they sold this inventory off to third party booking agencies such as ours. When a booking is finalized full payment is forwarded to the hotel to secure the reservation for the consumer. For a refund to be authorized on a non-refundable booking, we must contact our hotel partners who will reach out to the supplier and they will in turn verify if the hotel property, who collected the full payment, agrees to authorize a penalty waiver and refund back to the consumer. When the hotel property denies a request for a penalty waiver and chooses to stick to the policies that they have dictated for the reservation, we are contractually bound to comply with their decision regarding the terms and conditions. We apologize for the unfavorable resolution.
Unwilling to help me resolve a click mistake and are in theory stealing my money. I called within 5 mins of booking and they would not help me. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM.

I googled a hotel I needed to stay at in Missouri for a week. When I did it came up on Reservation Counter. I seriously thought I was dealing with the reservation desk of the hotel. I booked it and then later learned that I booked a hotel in Texas by the exact same name. I called Reservation Counter and they refused to give me a refund because they have a no refund policy. They were actually very rude about it. They could have canceled it and rebooked me at the correct hotel but they just kept my money. It was an expensive lesson. Buyer beware!

On 3-24-21 at 10:54am I placed a reservation for two nights for 4-16/17-21. Several days later I found out my son had a change of work dates so I called the representitive at ReservationCounter.com and explained I needed to move one week out. He told me I would have to call the hotel directly. I called the hotel directly and they told me I would have to have ReservationCounter.com call them to change. I called ReservationCounter.com back and they said I would have to cancel the reservation and that was the only choice. So after canceling and losing a 15.00 booking fee, I called the hotel directly (which I should have done) and set up my new booking.
Never ever use ReservationCounter.com because if you need their assistance to change anything for any reason, you will not be pleased. Never Use ReservationCounter.com

Refused to work with me on a simple mistake. I called them 5 minutes after I realized my human error and they refused to be professional and understanding. They were RUDE. UNPROFESSIONAL. SCHEMERS. RUTHLESS. UNFORGIVING. BUYER BEWARE!' I canceled my entire trip because of their lack of professionalism. Yeah sure they got their 14.99 but I was setting to spend Over 2000 for a 36 hour stay. Now I'm not going. So the car rental and the hotel also now have lost out on revenue. RESERVATION COUNTER SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!

Made a reservation for comfort suites in Dayton. Wanted adjoining rooms. The rep said that there were adjoining rooms in the hotel I was booking but that he could not indicate that on the reservation, and I would need to ask for the adjoining rooms upon arrival and if there were and if there were any left, I could get one. He said that alternatively, our rooms would be situated across the hall. We arrived and I requested the adjoining rooms. The front desk person told me that there were none available, and in fact, there was only one such room in the hotel. I told him about the booking, and he said that the booking agent could have requested the adjoining rooms in a special request comment line and that the hotel would've responded immediately whether such a room was available. Additionally, I was charged a $15 booking fee, which was never mentioned when I was on the phone with the booking agent. Additionally, I was charged approximately an extra $30 in "fees" for each room, in addition to the listed rate, plus taxes.

This is their scam. You Bing or Google say Silver Legacy Hotel Reservations, Reno, NV, and up comes FIRST these criminals--with most of your words in bold, pictures of the hotel, the address of the hotel, and policies of the hotel. There is only one small mention of the words Reservation Counter in one corner, so it gives the impression, if you notice it at all, that this is what Silver Legacy must call their reservation department. Unfortunately, when I call, Silver Legacy does not have my reservation in their system, and Reservation Counter has my money. So... now I want a refund. So I try to follow the instructions about refund on my booking receipt: more than 2 days before check in date. Watch this deception! You can't reach them on their website, and you can only reach them by phone if you are willing to wait a long time. Finally, I was told no refund because 5 a.m. Thursday cancelation for a 3 pm. Saturday hotel check -in was 5 hours late. 2 days meant at least 59 hours before check-in or no refund at all! Now, they already charged a non-refundable cancelation charge, so this is just criminal. No honest hotel would do this. They do because they are neither a hotel, or honest. BBB tells me they have had 140+ complaints in the last 12 months--even with Covid restrictions. Amazing. This is why they are not accredited by BBB. So, I make a complaint. I also make a Yelp complaint. And I complain here. Finally, I filed a complaint with the Utah Attorney General's office, because that is the business address they are using. Someone said they are in Honduras though. And of course, I refuted the $336 charge with my credit card company.

Do NOT go through this company. I thought I called a hotel and ended up being directed to these fools. They robbed me of my money. I asked 4x just to confirm (cause I've had issues in the past with other places) the total cost going on my card. I was told $113. Long story short, that was a LIE and when I got to the hotel, ended up not having enough money so I had to sleep in my vehicle with my CHILD and PET in -45 weather. That was 3 days ago and they STILL haven't refunded me like they said they would or even send an email to keep me posted on the "progress" of the incident. These ppl are useless robbers. If you don't mind spending money on something you don't have access to, then these are the people to deal with. Other then that, I would just do the booking yourself.

I recently made a reservation with Best Western. As is standard operating procedure with me, i asked if there was a charge for a cancellation. They told me there was no charge to cancel. Today I cancelled the charge and found out 1) that ReservationCounter was the original booking company and 2) there is a $13 charge to cancel. The agent told me that this charge cannot be reversed. Hence this BAD review. I have an equal dissatisfaction with Best Western Joliet as that is where I got the phone number.

I was charged 186.42 by your company and the charge directly through Hilton Garden Inn would have been 133.91. I purposely chose a room that had a cancellation option, and when I went to cancel it the date said 12/29/2020. I asked to speak with a supervisor and the gentleman put me on hold for 33 minutes and 5 seconds and he hung up on me. I was already on my son's phone waiting to speak to someone AGAIN. I was then hung up on after 13 minutes. Before I was rudely hung up on for the second time, the woman I spoke with said they would refund 12.99. After I said that I still wanted to speak to a supervisor she hung up on me. I then called back and spoke to the supervisor (Norma) to which she responded that we can not issue refunds. I was not asking for a full refund, I just wanted the 52.51. So after arguing with her for 19 minutes and 14 seconds about not being able to issue a refund. I finally relented and said that I would accept the 12.99, and miraculously she could issue that refund. I requested that I stay on the line until I received confirmation that the refund went through. As soon as I received the confirmation I asked the supervisor what her name was. She responded with NORMA and she then hung the phone up in my ear. This was hands down the worst customer service I have EVER received. I will be taking this to the Better Business Bureau, The Federal Trade Commission, and The Attorney General. I will also be letting The Hilton Garden Inn to let them know who they are doing business with. I will also be reviewing your business on every forum there is. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with the money... It is strictly about poor business practices. You should stand behind your mission statements online, and clearly the people you have working for do not. VERY disappointed.

They charged me more than 200$ for a room I canceled at the Knickebocker Hotel in Milwaukee. The room was dirty. Not the same description as it was on line. It was not going to sleep the number of people we had. So we canceled. Don't go through this web site to make reservations! Fraudulent!

I attempted to check into the Quality Inn at 9373 Cortez Blvd, Weeki Wachee, Florida ******* on 1019/2020. The reservation was made using reservation counters website, as they are the ones who the reservation system automatically links to for this hotel. I checked in at the front desk, where the front desk employee named FBATAS was NOT wearing a mask. I overlooked it only because I MYSELF was wearing a mask. I got my key and drove around the building looking for my room, when I decided to immediately turn back within 3 minutes, never used the key, never stepped foot in the door. There were people loitering in front of nearly every door, since the rooms were outside, the loitering was very visible. No one had a mask on and no one was practicing safe distancing. I was not going to stay in a hotel where I didn't feel they were practicing safe Covid-19 protocols. I did not stay in the room and tried to get the erroneous charge back and Reservation Counter refuses to help and they refer you to the hotel to complain. They do nothing for you, but take your money! Rip off company!

Left a day earlier that expected. Hampton Inn had no problem with that and would not charge for last day that we didn't stay. Reservation Counter will not refund if this happens. I didn't know I was using these people until we checked in. Scam.

If you attempt to make a hotel reservation online, this company re-routes your search to their website, making you think you are working with the actual hotel. You are immediately charged a $15 handling fee, meaning that even if you cancel your reservation within the allowable time, you are still charged this fee. THIS IS A SCAM! AVOID Reservation Counter! They serve no purpose except to separate you from your money!

Answer: Trying to cancel a reservation, the rote voice said it did not recognize the phone number, even though it was the same phone I used to make the reservation. Then asked if the reservation confirmation number started with an R. I said No. It asked me several more times. I kept answering No. Then it told me to call the hotel for help and hung up. Called the hotel. They said they could not cancel since the reservation was made through a third-party company. That I would have to cancel through ReservationCounter. (Oh, by the way, I had tried to use the online Cancellation page - it doesn't work.) It was very difficult to get through to anybody and there were very long waits in between. I will never use this company again.
