I was at reddit for 2 days and had an exchange with a muslim where I very politely proved he was using taqiyya by posting quran verses with citations, which I do for the benefit of those watching. I was banned without warning or explanation. (As if I needed one.). Moron leftist moderators shot the messenger.
I think the fact that users laud those who say "/s" when they are trying to be sarcastic is enough to illustrate how shallow the user-base is.
I appreciate the spread of content and news, but the discussions are often fueled by group-think and mob mentality.
Was very dissapointed in the work that i received back. I thought there would have been a much better job of editing the work I provided. Instead, I ended up paying more money for this service than I should have. Would not recommend them to anyone.
There is no other place like reddit. You can find so much useful information there it's amazing. It continues to grow everyday, so you can come and have fun when you feel like it or educate yourself whenever you're up to it.
Signed up to get involved in a conversation to which my message deleted as i'm a new user, well if i cant post i am always gonna be a new user and never be allowed to post, completely pointless data mining scam
If you type anything outside of the Hivemind narrative, get ready to be banned. They have a mob rules karma level that ensures that you cannot post, or provide input if you disagree with the narrative provided. They try to make you think that a majority feels a certain way, which couldn't be further from the truth. But they will keep trying until they collapse under their own weight as soon as free speech is aloud
Not really a conversational forum (where you view active threads, subscribe to threads). It's more like a "post & reaction" slideshow. The worst thing is that it's a very clique promoting, an echo-chamber of "proper" thought. Anything that alters the "sub's" orthodoxy is "hidden" with downvotes. Some subs have very toxic mods.
Reddit is run by thought police who hate freedom, liberty, and history.
The nature of the platform is to disenfranchise those whom hold dissenting opinions; joy in ignorance and the dismissal of new and challenging thought is the unintended core of reddit's ethos.
It is a sick place, run by sick people.
It used to be fun but it has gotten infected with mean people and also has a problem with /r/bitcoin specifically trying to brainwash the world into bad decisions constantly. It is a stain on society and it has ruined the mental health of the world with its continued harassment.
So much for the front page of the internet, so much for free speech and dialog. So much for truth. If you give a differing opinion or facts with sources that go against the status quo, you are labeled, banned and/or told your point doesn't matter.
It doesn't take much for a subreddit to get banned. Your thoughts must align with the majority/moderators.
It's common and expected for people and businesses to buy upvotes. Traffic manipulation is a normal thing on Reddit.
One of the worst websites for true public discourse.
Reddit was once a bastion of free speech and refreshing debate. Then like everything that was once good, it became popular, and with that popularity came parasites who sought to control the narrative, paid for shills, corrupt moderators, no oversight to keep the default forums fair to even give the illusion of propriety. No, Reddit has become everything wrong with the internet. It's a microcosm of everything wrong with the world today, and like the world at large, they will experience the repercussions they deserve. Also the site redesign is horrible.
When it comes to Reddit, people either love it or despise it. And, to be honest, I agree with both of them. What I mean is that I found some amazing community over on Reddit since the beginning of the Pandamic, and they immediately bonded with me, and we share a lot of information together. However, I have seen some really bad subreddits that should have been closed because they cause more harm than good.
In the end, I believe Reddit is a good platform, and I enjoyed spending time there during the Pandamic, but if they could improve their monitoring system, this platform would outperform all other types of social media.
Reddit is a real pain to use. As a new member you can't post anywhere. You can't post more than once within a several minute timespan. And Reddit is super picky about what you post in each category. I find it to much of a bother to use, and gave up.
I was posting in a subreddit and inviting others in my post who may be interested to join my kik group which is very similarly themed to this same subreddit. I looked through the subreddit rules and guidelines and found ZERO mention anywhere within this subreddit saying "no promoting". Well within less than a half hour my entire post was removed and I was crudely contacted by an automated bot saying "no promoting kiks or other social media" so I immediately left the group. I understand if you are a group leader and this is your preference/prerogative but CLEARLY and OPENLY state that in your group rules. Don't omit pertinent information to others joining your group and then engage in petty, passive aggressive behavior so you can lord over them.
Then to add insult to injury, as I'm logging out the pic attached is what I see. Seriously? I'm by no means a Trump fan but now we're fantasizing about his hypothetical and abrupt death in open forum to garner ourselves negative comradery? Reddit has seriously become a severely biased political cesspool with no shame, anything goes here. It has one place and that's the trash can. Never again...
I commented on Yummy combs as being a good product that my dogs love and they did help reduce tartar on my little dog over a couple months of using every day. Reddit would not use my post. They said it was promoting a product. I believe the reason was that the only posts they would use would be a negative view. How unfair that free speech has been so limited by corrupt companies like this. I wouldn't believe anything they post because they will not post it if they don't agree. And after the post was taken down I was taken off the website. Good grief!
Reddit is a left wing circle jerk, so naturally they're against freedom of speech. You can't speak your mind, unless you're part of the hive mind. Place is full of NPCs. Not sure if I ever ran into a human on r/politics. My advice is stay away. Whole place is imploding.
The reddit admins love to sensor any opinions that they dont like and paint it as hate. Just because I dont agree with the modern left-leaning agenda doesn't make me a hateful person, hate to break it to you
Reddit requires adherence to approved beliefs and opinions. Expect to be banned or for your chosen community (subreddit) to be deleted at the whim of a moderator. It is not a reasonable option if you are trying to build a long-term community.
The most delusional people I have ever seen- those pseudo intellectuals who think they are intelligent - and you wonder why the fabric of society is unraveling, and that is why we have the lowest who are in charge of our lives - are these people allowed to vote -! All they do is arguing about the sex of an angel - if you know what I mean. Useless site for lazy and delusional people.
Answer: Absolutely cancer. Unless you're an NPC without a brain of your own.
Answer: Use sitejabber, much better. Since they don't make you jump through hoops to post a review and they don't censor negative reviews. TONS of bad sites online. TONS of corrupt sites. Clean up the internet. Break up these monopolistic companies.
Answer: Don't trust reviews from reddit because the site is censored to get rid of negative reviews. Censored by corrupt moderators and admins.
Reddit has a rating of 1.4 stars from 528 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Reddit most frequently mention free speech, social media and front page. Reddit ranks 503rd among Social Network sites.
