Was banned once for "threatening violence" in a post where I said people should stay away from a person's address who was threatening violence. I didn't use the service for a couple of years because that made me so angry. Just got another ban with a new account and I don't even know why. They won't let me see the supposedly offensive message and give no way to question it or find out what it's about. So they can literally just ban you with the claim that you said something wrong, without telling you when, where, or what it is. Sounds really fair huh?
By the way, whoever labeled Reddit as leaning left need to put the pipe down. Reddit admins have literall stated, word for word, that a threat from a right-winger to kill anyone who stepped on his property was acceptable because it came with a caveat, but "the only good Nazi is a dead Nazi" is a bannable offense. (not what I was banned for, but was shown in a screenshot.) Yeah, real left-leaning Democrats. -scoff-
EDIT: Two more things. Three days in a row I've requested information on why I was actually banned. Three days in a row I was ignored. Also, when you're "suspended," you can't report posts. So, if people are posting harassing things on your timeline, or someone is posting threats, incitements to violence, or hate speech, you can't even report them. So others can get away with blatant TOS violations, meanwhile you can't do anything about it because you're suspended for no apparently TOS violation at all.
Reddit is good for nothing besides the grossest of pornography and childish forums where people pretend to be mentally challenged. A website full of puerile man-children and perverts.
EDIT: Reddit does not consider someone spamming hate speech dozens of times in a row to be an infraction of their rules.
This is what I tried to post. Here I am upset because my PS5 appears to be faulty and I can't get hold of PSN support so I naively spend a hour writing this on REDDIT only to have it deleted by a BOT! All hope gone now because once again, a company only cares about money and doesn't hire real people to Moderate. Just use a ******* BOT!
"Sorry, this post has been removed by the moderators of r/playstation5.
Moderators remove posts from feeds for a variety of reasons, including keeping communities safe, civil, and true to their purpose."
"I loaded some PS5 and PS4 games. Sniper 5 Elite for instance (PS5 Version) I start the game, click on Play and all of a sudden it restarts and says it was shut down incorrectly, (an example would be during a power outage when it shuts down and restarts and repairs the drive) well this is what it does and I have not turned it off. Nor was there a power outage So I tried Sniper 4 Elite (PS4 version) and it does the same thing! So after reading a post I restarted the system deleting everything and started loading the games again. Sniper 5 Elite just completed the download and the message was that I was able to play, and once again it shuts down, says it was turned off incorrectly and restarts with repairing the drive due to the power shutting off. Well I didn't turn the power off. This happens when trying to play the game, while in the game and I have a UPS therefore it is not a power outage. I tried contacting PSN support but their website no longer allows this. I tried Twitter and Facebook. There is no way to contact Playstation support. I guess I will have to send it in for repair" I'd give them a minus 5 stars if I could!
Reddit is one of those sites that you should think before joining. Upon joining my first time it started off nice. But that changed, new members get bullied over not knowing how to use the site properly. If you make a post with improper tags the people will tell you to constantly fix your post. You cannot share a experience without being victim blamed. I shared a experience on reddit someone instantly made a comment and made it seem like I was wrong about what I said. Reddit users act like they are so smart. Underneath the same post about my experience the reddit users act as if they know more about a app I've used as well. We all experience different experiences, but your wrong about this app! They misunderstood or misread comments. The reddit users will downvote you if they think you said something negatively. I've been a victim of being downvoted over a statement I've said by people on reddit. Some reddit users who get downvoted tell others to downvote a person for no reason. This happens often and other reddit users feed their negativity. Reddit users belittle others. I was bullied in a reddit because I asked for help. Immature reddit users put stupid comments Underneath your post. Some sub Reddit supports inappropriate fanart. I actually posted a art on a reddit forum and got downvoted. I got downvoted because I said this artist sexualized underaged characters. Keep in mind I have no problems with aged up characters. But the artist drew them in the exact same design as their kid one. Reddit users insisted that these characters looked aged up and I got downvoted by many. The artwork was inappropriate, the artist sexualized underaged characters. Reddit rewards stupidity all the time. The people you talk to on reddit aren't your friends. I've been nice to many users on reddit and still got bullied there. Moderators are useless and incompetent as well. In conclusion stay away from this site. It's very negative overall. The users don't wanna see different views. And trying to fix in will drain you mentally avoid this site at all cost.
It is a OK site but not to be relied on for accurate information
Can be very misleading but in certain topics they are OK
A colleague told me that he had a friend who bought a used MacBook from a seller on Reddit. He sent me a link and told me to get in contact with the seller. The seller sent me photos of the MacBook in good condition for $600 USD. He sent me an invoice via PayPal so I thought this is sounding OK and looking legit even though it was my first time buying something from Reddit. What I didn't know was that seller only spent $20 to ship the item and did not insure it. UPS marked it as delivered, but it never arrived. When I told him it never arrived, and that I wanted a refund he went nutzo. He started sending me melodramatic emails saying he would call the police on me and have me banned from Reddit (in which case he would actually be doing me a favour) and he never wanted to speak to me again. I reached out to PayPal to activate buyers protection, but as long as USPS marked the item as delivered, I was out of luck. So many phone calls later to PayPal and USPS, as well as cases, opened and closed in the sellers favor, and then re-opened again. For a while it was looking like I was gonna lose my C$800 and the whole experience was upsetting. I had to persist with multiple calls and emails and follow up. A huge waste of time. Over a month later I was granted the refund after USPS posted a second delivery date at the tracking number. My advice to you. (1) never buy anything on Reddit. The sellers are not professional, and may possibly be running scams. (2) if you want to buy a MacBook buy it from the Apple store. (3) never rely on. PayPal buyers protection if you are not 100% confident in the seller. (4) buy from people you heard of that have a website and are not irritated when you email them. Some sellers are actually selling computers, phones, or other devices with malware and spyware, which they later used to hack into your bank. BE CAREFUL, BE CAUTIOUS and WATCH OUT for deals that sound too good to be true, you get what you pay for! (my real Screenshots are attached for your reference). Update Nov 2023: Luzsom LLC has changed his name to Fadeo LLC.
I love reddit.com I am like addicted to this site!
Great social network! Always get what i want from here. Thanks!
I like this social network.
There are a lot of people which do not know, but also very happy
It's really front page of the internet. Everything you want to know/to see is available there!
Why bother posting something. CEO is just going to mess with it.
You can get banned for making a joke over anything. On one of the sports threads, a person commented that how should they end themselves after their team lost a game in a joking way. So I responded that he should "play with himself" because there's no way for someone to die from that. But the genius mods deemed my joke as "wishing harm or death on another person" and banned me. There are some some seriously disturbed individuals modding the Reddit site.
Answer: Absolutely cancer. Unless you're an NPC without a brain of your own.
Answer: Use sitejabber, much better. Since they don't make you jump through hoops to post a review and they don't censor negative reviews. TONS of bad sites online. TONS of corrupt sites. Clean up the internet. Break up these monopolistic companies.
Answer: Don't trust reviews from reddit because the site is censored to get rid of negative reviews. Censored by corrupt moderators and admins.
