Literally on the phone at this very moment having a repeat conversation because I am being read the same scripted lines repeatedly without actually getting help. What a shame and the customer service is definitely lacking customer service. Being told there is no other number to contact and excuse after excuse when I ask for a supervisor. I can guarantee after this experience and the price i just paid, i will not be using red box going forward. I do agree, it is about the principal behind it all and this is in no way shape or form right at all.
I don't know where they get their bimetoprost but it simply does not work whatsoever. I've used Latisse in the past with great success but this has not grown a single eyelash.
Charged me 30 dollars for a late fee for a movie that was made in the 80's waste of money. I would rather just use Amazon prime never again am I using Redbox. Also they have a terrible movie selection
Do not rent anything from them I got 1 movie and I had to keep it for 3 more nights extra getting charged $8.00 + taxes per night because NONE OF THEIR STATIONS WHERE WORKING. The third night I had to drive to 3 different locations (12 miles in total and 2 hours of my time) to return the movie. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM
I rented 2 movies from Redbox, I returned them the very next day. I received an email stating that only one of my movies were returned and I will be charged until the second movie is returned back to Redbox. I called customer service to figure out what the problem is because I already returned both of my movies. I called customer service a total of three times, and every time I would try and speak to them about my issue they would hang up the phone. Very disappointed and I will not be renting from Redbox again
Give it 2 stars simply because movie opinions are fine but the fact that it says you get a free movie when signing up is BS plus customer service sucks! Said he couldn't even find my account after I have already rented movies off the website and got up more points and all for nothing
First they told me I would get 3 credits for movies. I was able to use only 1 of them. The others disappeared. The last 5 movies I watched from RedBox have not played all the way through without freezing, having to stop and restart etc.
Not worth the trouble of finding a movie, holding, getting to not be able to watch is a joke.
Contacting redbox would only help if redbox cared.
Lack of customer service to me equals I will no longer be a customer of redbox.
I stream all of my TV channels and movies, I use several different sites but only have a problem when trying to watch a Redbix movie? To even hear the movie I have to set thee volume to max 100 then if it is a free movie with commercials? The ads are horribly loud!
Out of every site I stream from? The normal volume level is set@ 18.
Called customer service and couldn't understand what they were saying because of the heavy accent but all I got was? I don't know sir? Maybe try to delete everything and try again...
I've used Redbox many times, and I've watched lots of good movies from it. I wish that they had a better selection of older movies, but I can understand the demand for new titles. It doesn't cost too much and sometimes there are coupons, so I'd say it's definitely worth using. I haven't had much trouble with dvds being scratched or damaged. I don't think Redbox is as good as Blockbuster, but since there are no Blockbuster's around anymore, Redbox works well enough.
I am becoming disenchanted with Redbox --- they took out one that was just a few blocks away and now I have to go. 5 miles from my home. And Redbox increased their prices by 25% --- so I'm paying more and getting less.
And it seems fewer users are inclined to reserve movies online so there's invariably a long line of folks at the kiosk as people wade through the extra-bad search tool at the kiosk. They need to figure out a way to let folks who have reserved online get their disks at the same time other folks are browsing.
I have had a few discs not play on occasion, but just email them or call and they give you a free rental code to make up for it. I love using Redbox to preview movies I'm on the fence about buying for my home collection. I'll be continuing to use them.
Typed as I watch this weeks rental.
I love redbox. Great idea. For about $1 a night you can rent a video. Their machines are everywhere, so very convenient. I also love that nearly every weekend I get a coupon for 50 cents off. I think they make their money by banking you won't return it the next day so they can charge you for a few more days, but I always do! They used to also give me a free movie on my birthday, but no more - sad.
Sorry Red box, but you're not ready for On demand streaming services. I started to watch a free movie that I was given due to another Red Box on demand glitch, and 1/2 through the movie it started to buffer and freeze. This went on for about 1/2 hour until I gave up. Then I called the On Demand problem number and after 10 minutes, I was disconnected. Red box is not ready to compete with other streaming services who have figured out the process.
Write your review to help others learn about this Movies are not available when advertised and are old by the time they do come out, very old. Don't trust all kiosks to have the movie you want to rent, it's a waste of the drive to the box.
It started off ok got alittle better turned out its a life time movie with no real ending or if theres another part but lucky it was free I wont watch again. What is life time movies doing at redbox come on not fair
This is a pretty good video rental source I have ever dealt with. There used to be quite alot of freebies but haven't seen too much lately. The reviews are interesting, it seems alot of people think movies are real and should be perfect all the time. I will continue to use Redbox for movie entertainment.
They are not too bad if you just rent a movie from the actual box for one night, but don't create an account online and don't utilize any "free" movie codes. If you take my advice you will save yourself from a lot of head aches having to deal with their horrible customer service and company policies. For example, things like being charged twice for a "free" movie when you shouldn't have been charged at all are the types of things that happen. They say the money goes back on in a week, but I can't find them on my bank account statement. $1.61 is not a lot of money but it adds up and it's the principle of the matter. If there was a half decent "box" competitor this company would get crushed.
Unplayable DVD with scratches, unable to get a refund.
I wish I could give them 0 stars. Customer service would not help resolve the matter, kept me on hold forever, I finally gave up over $ 1.60.
They didn't win since I will never use them again.
I would rather pay $5.99 on Xinity and download a movie.
Redbox charged me 6 times in one day... they took a purchase of $3.82 (two terrible movies) and then proceeded to charge me 3 more times of the same amount... then to top it off they charged another. 63 cents for no reason... all within an 8 hour period... called redbox's hotline and was not helped in no way shape or form... tried a conference call with my bank and redbox but... redbox hung up. I've spent almost 2.5 hours on this today... redbox is terrible. And I wouldn't go out of my way to make this comment of I didn't think it was worth it...
I returned DVD's within the 24hr window and was charged $34 in my account a month later! Redbox had no account that my dvd was returned and I didn't even get my money back. They could only issue me 10 free movie rentals. Do you think I want my card to touch that machine again? I think not
RedBox has a rating of 1.8 stars from 188 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with RedBox most frequently mention customer service, free movie and credit card. RedBox ranks 191st among DVD sites.
