The site has a lot of polarizing clickbait. The moderators on the site remove posts that don't goose-step with the extreme far-left. There is no room for discussion with others on the site due to the heavy-handed moderation team. Very toxic site.
A lot of clickbait. The hyperlinks in the articles often circle back to the article itself, or to nothing meaningful. For a site that supposedly fights against fascism, their content moderators are very fascist. They allow commenters to wish death upon others as long as it's a far-right liberal wishing the death on someone who is not an extremist. Their moderators often delete comments when someone begins making traction against the fringe left in a thread. It's a wonky site that has become more of a gossip rag and hate machine, instead of offering a service that helps their liberal cause. The site doesn't focus on real problems in the country, instead it's mostly rage bait.
Rawstory used to just be lots of news aggregation with stories rewritten from other news sites. I was impressed when they hired some good journalists a couple of years ago. Some of the stories about Congress and crazy extremists got as good as what you'd see in the New York Times. But it's gotten thin again lately and back to mostly aggregate news and predictable opinion pieces from tired voices. Two of the best Rawstory writers, Mark Alesia and Dave Levinthal, appear to have left recently. Their departures are unfortunate. I'm not renewing my subscription when it's up next month.
Only allows for left leaning comments no matter how bad, and never an opposing view. They are scared little wimps with fake news. Recent clickbait saying Trump has dementia. I guess they don't recognize Joe Biden, the baffled nursing home resident who thinks he is President.
Designed to rile up us left – leaners, this supposed new site is full of Clickbait headlines, fake stories that they remove later, and riddled with grammatical errors. Hardly a trusted news source. As a former journalist, I'm appalled. I've attached a sample of one of their Clickbait headlines. Oh, and you probably can't read that article unless you pay. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.
I take my time to research subjects especially when it sounds fishy. When you are a tabloid that is so one sided it's impossible to get factual information. They seem to go hand and hand wiht occupy democrats which either flat out lies or tells half truths at best. Folks the end doesn't justify the means and poor inaccurate journalism is disgraceful.
Have found that raw story is like so many so-called liberal news sites, they ban u if u post anything that doesn't toe the party line, ie posting anything negative about israel, or illegals. Not all dems are cookie cutter dems. I got banned, so good riddance to typo riddled, cutting and pasting fr other news sites. I go to the guardian news now

If your comments reflect anything other than zombie-like adherence to fringe-loony liberalism, they get removed and that account gets banned. Not exactly a place for incisive discussion and healthy give-and-take. Nothing "Raw" about the overcooked pap they spoon out.
I used to follow Raw Story, but my support became tainted when I discovered I had been banned in the comment section for seemingly no reason. Having come across the reviews here, I've realised the banning is whim-based, not according to substance. Just as well, really: after seeing how toxic and abusive people in their Facebook comments section are and the introduction of subscription for content that is sensationalist at best, poorly presented at worst, I have no regrets dropping them from my feed. There are significantly better news sites out there.
RawStory does not like opinions that do not fall in line with their bubble concept. Step outside the MSNBC worship pageant and your comments disappear. Eventually you will be banned and no reason will ever be given.
I have also noticed that certain threads that were likely to spur contentious debate, were populated by mods for the first couple of hours. I guess so they could steer things a certain way and knock out any dissenters.
If you worship the MSNBC mindset and worship their on air talent without question, then RawStory is for you. Just don't get too invested with the site. Their rules are vague and subject to the whims of whoever is holding the ban-hammer that day. If you have even the least bit of reason to question what is presented, don't waste your time. Just find another site.
These guys banned me for questioning their journalistic credibility and saying their website sucks. This just proves that they are a bunch of $#*! and can't handle opposing views. Echo chamber central here full of brainwashed morons.
This is a leftist site - I don't think it's necessarily the most left site I've found. The problem is the comment section.
God forbid you disagree or have logical discussions! They don't want you expressing other points of view, and they sure as hell don't want you sharing your views with other readers. They will ban you in a heartbeat - the only site from which I've ever been banned. My perception is that they felt threatened if anyone engaged other readers in reasoned disagreements or questioned their leftist mantras. I remember one woman telling me to watch out, or I would be banned. I thought she was joking, until I was banned several minutes later. Utterly worthless.
Raw Story assembles headlines from various and mostly mainstream news agencies. It is pro US democracy. I consider it to be a news service that shares articles and videos whose sources are clearly identified. Raw story allows access to content that might otherwise only be available by subscription and has links to the sources (which may or may not require a subscription.) I support Raw Story for this reason.
Raw Story blanket censors conservative viewpoints. Raw Story has zero interest in allowing both sides of a political debate to have anything remotely resembling equal representation. Don't waste your time "debating" on Raw Story. They are a purely partisan-driven ultra-liberal echo chamber, always ready and willing to brainwash young, impressionable, and easily misled minds.
I usually visit Raw Story daily. There are a few problematic issues. 1. Frequent sensationalist headlines that are not supported by the story. Some are blatantly in error. The editorial staff completely ignore any issues you bring to their attention. 2, The comment section. For some crazy reason I expected to be able to speak freely and wow was I wrong. For pointing out a glaring error in the comment section I was viciously attacked by someone and I have no clue why. It was mainly one line insults. Another is that one should never dare to express any support of Spirituality for the same reason. I made the shocking discovery that progressives are just as bigoted as any right wing zealot. So in the end I say read if you choose but before jumping entirely onto any particular story you may want to do a little cross checking for accuracy otherwise you might just look like a fool. Tread carefully there.
Like so many here have stated I got banned for a different opinion. The profanity they used was off the charts. It's basically stormfront for liberals/BLM/marxists. Not a single poster goes outside a party group-think... they just up vote and agree with each other.
This is clearly a propaganda site. You can tell because none of the articles ever actually have footage, videos, or witness quotes. They see something "interesting" and write about it without even getting a story straight. Sorry, but that's just not journalism. Go out and investigate before you just write about it.
I have now been banned twice, simply because I am critical of Hillary Clinton - that's it! Without violating any of their terms, I still was banned - and, all of the comments that used profanity and condescending attitude against my posts were not removed!
They are not only against conservatives, but liberals too that do not agree with them!

My news feed on Google is filled with left tilted junk news from Rawstory news feed. The stories are, in my opinion, planted to sway voting decisions for upcoming elections. I searched for ways to remove their notification to no avail. The media today is following a prescription agenda that hurts the county I love and I think they should be held accountable at some point.
Rawstory totally censored my comments last night when they did not agree with my thoughts! However they allowed the comments from the left liberal side that was arguing their point with me to remain. They also took it a step further and banned me from the site. I literally had no foul language at all in any of my posts. They claim not to be slanted one way or the other but that is not true. I kept a copy of my posts for proof!
