I am a progressive and have been banned from posting in Raw Story. This makes me suspect this site since I don't use objectional language and I don't attack people due to my beliefs. So why would I be banned? To ban and not say what post was responsible, could even mean that someone else could post and I be blamed. This is unbelievable. But I'm not that upset. I can easily live without posting or reading raw story. Still, I'm surprised that this kind of censorship exits, especially in a site known to be liberal. Patricia Patterson Tursi, Ph. D.

I came across a story about Zimmerman and when I read through the comments, all I saw was hate comments about Zimmerman; how he got away with murder and how he should be killed. I didn't see a single pro-Zimmerman comment and after posting, I realized why. They don't like anyone with a difference of opinion commenting. I made a couple of posts. I did not attack anyone or use any vulgar language, but suddenly I was attacked by other commenters just before the moderator deleted all my comments and banned me from the site. What's the point of having a comment section if you can't even debate? Really stupid! Everyone is in agreement on that site because anyone who disagrees simply gets removed.

Users commented and cussed at me and I cussed back, though less, explaining to them why they were wrong. Rawstory deleted ALL MY COMMENTS all throughout the board, even ones that were explanations that had no cussing and were just points of view. They were not racist points of view or anything, but instead they were explanations on why I thought the other person was wrong. LOL, garbage site. I will make sure to avoid this site and have anyone I know avoid this site in the future, and will make sure to drag this site under the mud as much as possible--as they deserve this for their censorship--likely for a friend or mod that was disagreed with.

What a lowly and sad site to resort to consistent censorship. I'm not the only one. Time to destroy.

I thought the site originally had at least partial value, wrong. Mindless childish rantings about far left ideology that's so far out it's not even readable. Zombie journalism. It wouldn't matter if they didn't take themselves serious, but they do. They think they are actually producing viable news. It may as well be lizard people from the 12th dimension. Why waste the keyboard strokes? Eesh

The comment section is about the darkest cheering I've ever seen. Literally cheering for violence like a frenzied mob of psychopaths. Oh wait... there's a Russian Troll behind every contrary post. Seriously, turn that garbage off. Life is too short for that waste of effort.

RawStory does not like opinions that do not fall in line with their bubble concept. Step outside the MSNBC worship pageant and your comments disappear. Eventually you will be banned and no reason will ever be given.

I have also noticed that certain threads that were likely to spur contentious debate, were populated by mods for the first couple of hours. I guess so they could steer things a certain way and knock out any dissenters.

If you worship the MSNBC mindset and worship their on air talent without question, then RawStory is for you. Just don't get too invested with the site. Their rules are vague and subject to the whims of whoever is holding the ban-hammer that day. If you have even the least bit of reason to question what is presented, don't waste your time. Just find another site.

This is a leftist site - I don't think it's necessarily the most left site I've found. The problem is the comment section.
God forbid you disagree or have logical discussions! They don't want you expressing other points of view, and they sure as hell don't want you sharing your views with other readers. They will ban you in a heartbeat - the only site from which I've ever been banned. My perception is that they felt threatened if anyone engaged other readers in reasoned disagreements or questioned their leftist mantras. I remember one woman telling me to watch out, or I would be banned. I thought she was joking, until I was banned several minutes later. Utterly worthless.

Ifbyou paid attention to the renowned journalists, political critics and the like, who advocate and patronize this news source, you cannot deny it's integrity whether you agree with what it choosrsbto report on or not. If you dislike the content so much, redirect your attention to a publication you do like. Why do so many people feel their complaints deserve to be published? That they are intitled to have their negativity and whining published?

So, I like the site because it presents news that wouldn't otherwise get reported outside of local news sites/papers. However, what I do not like is that if you disagree with an article even slightly, you will get completely shredded in the comments. I don't think some of the individuals on the site, or those creating the articles, realize that their behavior towards all dissenting voices is exactly the same as behavior found on Alt-Right/deeply conservative sites.

It has ultimately made me limit my time on the site, which is sad because the website does provide some good information.

Rawstory totally censored my comments last night when they did not agree with my thoughts! However they allowed the comments from the left liberal side that was arguing their point with me to remain. They also took it a step further and banned me from the site. I literally had no foul language at all in any of my posts. They claim not to be slanted one way or the other but that is not true. I kept a copy of my posts for proof!

This is one of the most offending sites out there when it comes to censorship of what it believes... It's moderators are extremely heavy handed left and with Twitter, FaceBook and now YouTube aligning left to do all they can to influence the presidential race.

Biased and heavily censored with a controlling cliché that is very unwelcoming.
