So, I like the site because it presents news that wouldn't otherwise get reported outside of local news sites/papers. However, what I do not like is that if you disagree with an article even slightly, you will get completely shredded in the comments. I don't think some of the individuals on the site, or those creating the articles, realize that their behavior towards all dissenting voices is exactly the same as behavior found on Alt-Right/deeply conservative sites.

It has ultimately made me limit my time on the site, which is sad because the website does provide some good information.

I notice that none of the negative reviews of this site claim that the stories it presents are inaccurate in any way.

In fact, I've found that just about every item Rawstory posts is accurate. Occasionally the language promoting a story is hyped a bit, but the material itself is always accurate.

I think the simplest explanation for the negative reviews of Rawstory is that those objecting, just do not like the facts these stories present.

Raw story has one purpose at this time, that's to promote Bernie Sanders. I like Bernie but I support Hillary. When I defended her position against some out of control Bernie fans, all my comments through the years were deleted and I was banned. Most of Clinton's supporters have either left Raw Story or do not frequent it anymore. What's hard to understand is Raw Story calling themselves progressive yet they allow their members to trash Hillary, calling her every name imaginable, while protecting Bernie. When Hillary becomes the Democratic nominee I hope they dry up on the vine. Raw Story deserves no following.

Users were saying Trump had asked his followers to 'shoot Hillary Clinton." I said the FBI and Secret Service had investigated, and if that were true, he would be in jail. He was talking about exercising your voting power - particularly the base of followers that were passionate about the 2nd amendment. I also challenged a user to provide a link to anywhere Trump said 'shoot her.' My posts were removed and I was banned from the site. So much for liberal tolerance. More proof that the left does not want a free exchange of ideas. They want to rewrite the 1st amendment - and silence any opposition to their agenda.

This is one of the most offending sites out there when it comes to censorship of what it believes... It's moderators are extremely heavy handed left and with Twitter, FaceBook and now YouTube aligning left to do all they can to influence the presidential race.

Biased and heavily censored with a controlling cliché that is very unwelcoming.

The recent across the board rise of paywalls by the sites they pull their stories from so all the links have been blocked reduces the free use of this site unfortunately.

While I too have a leftward bent, knowing how liberal this site is makes me want to read the article their synopsis came from so I can understand the context and make a reasoned judgement from the actual real deal.

You cannot just depend on a synopsis no matter where your politics lay. A synopsis is just one person's opinion of the article and they will try to bend the synopsis according to their own biases.

This is true of many newsletters from various sources. It is coming down to just the wire services themselves to get the free version and a more neutral interpretations.

I am a progressive and have been banned from posting in Raw Story. This makes me suspect this site since I don't use objectional language and I don't attack people due to my beliefs. So why would I be banned? To ban and not say what post was responsible, could even mean that someone else could post and I be blamed. This is unbelievable. But I'm not that upset. I can easily live without posting or reading raw story. Still, I'm surprised that this kind of censorship exits, especially in a site known to be liberal. Patricia Patterson Tursi, Ph. D.

Or they will ban you in a heartbeat. I objected to the avalanche of insults directed at my state, Florida, in the comments section and was banned. I used no profanity, threats or ad hominum ( although a ton of it was thrown at me) and banned I was by Moderator "bow" with his "ban hammer". The site is intolerant of any view it does not share and will censor them with abandon. Although I'm a Left leaning guy I have to say that kind of thing, banning and the gross shadow banning, is more more common on Liberal sites that it is on GOP'er ones. There are options to RawStory. I'd recommend you take them.

I've been banned for the 5th time from raw story just for stating facts and opinions that oppose all those on that site. I never used vulgar language or made threats or did anything against their terms of service. There are so many users on that site who violate the terms by attacking me and don't get banned. They say horrible things about president Trump and some should be investigated for some of the things they say on there. I wasmy even given a reason for the ban, just as I wasn't the 4 prior times, even though I sent an email asking why which is what they require in their terms of service. The site is dangerous and is a breeding ground for anti Trump haters who want violence brought to him and all who support him.

It's a good website. The stories are real, they're not fake. The problem as with a lot of websites is the comments section. If you support anyone besides Hillary Clinton you will get attacked in the comments section. Even if you supported Bernie you will get attacked. Even if the article has nothing to do with politics, you will get attacked for having supported Bernie. The majority of the people that attack you are bitter old women with cats as their avatar.

Raw Story is just a site full of clickbait Articles, most of them are stolen from salon.com. They refused to employ editors they constantly have terrible grammar poor spelling and they often use hyperbole to make a story sound more Sensational than it is. They expect you to pay for subscription now with this $#*! journalism, which is an actual insult to Major news corporations that actually do their job correctly and needs a subscription.

Paywall is actually easy to get around. All you have to do is as soon as the site loads click any article as fast as possible because it takes a couple seconds for the pay while to kick in. Once you clicked another article then you can go to the header at the top of the page and click any of the categories and from there you can freely read all the Articles. Besides the story Being Greedy there pretty freaking stupid too. But greed and stupidity tend to go hand-in-hand so I guess I shouldn't be surprised

I thought the site originally had at least partial value, wrong. Mindless childish rantings about far left ideology that's so far out it's not even readable. Zombie journalism. It wouldn't matter if they didn't take themselves serious, but they do. They think they are actually producing viable news. It may as well be lizard people from the 12th dimension. Why waste the keyboard strokes? Eesh

The comment section is about the darkest cheering I've ever seen. Literally cheering for violence like a frenzied mob of psychopaths. Oh wait... there's a Russian Troll behind every contrary post. Seriously, turn that garbage off. Life is too short for that waste of effort.
