I have spent thousands at raise. Com - but today was told by Lowe's they would not accept my two Raises "Lowe's (In Store Only) eGift Card" merchandise pages worth $132.27 because there was no bar code on them. I had used one of them before, and my Raise printout on each reads "Expiration: Does not expire" - with a Number, and a Pin #. When I called, both the first respondent and a supervisor told me I would not be reimbursed since the pages were outside their 100-day policy.
The Raise service person's analogy was that, had I bought a store product and took it back a year later, they wouldn't accept it. However, that analogy isnt valid because I would at least still have the product. What I have is nothing - despite Raises "Does not expire" printout. Sadly, I purchased $600.00 of their cards in the last three days - more than $3,000.00 since December and now they lose a customer because of $132.00. Bad customer service. Unfair, unfriendly, and unresolved.
I bought a gift card for $95+ For Ann Taylor Loft. Purchase price was $79.17. I gave it to my daughter. When she went to use it, it was only worth $33.17. I sent it back, they sent me a refund. All WAS ok. Today, three weeks later, they reversed the credit because they say someone spent $59.97 in Oregon on the card. I live in Georgia. My daughter is in South Carolina. Neither of us has ever been to Oregon. It is NOT POSSIBLE that one of us used it there. They REFUSE to let me talk to the department that can fix this so Im screwed out of the purchase price for the card and have nothing that I can spend. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. They say satisfaction guaranteed, I am not satisfied sending them money for something I cant use and they will not do anything about it! I regularly bought cards from them before now. I will NEVER buy from them again.
Bought an egift card with this site and about 12 hours later they sent an email to call their number. I'm assuming this was to verify the purchase since I'm a first time buyer, which is fine, I've had places do that before, but I was waiting on the phone for over 30 minutes (being the 7th customer "in line) to speak to anyone only to be hung up on. When I called back, it pushed me back to 11th in line. I do not have hours of time to be wasting on the phone playing games and I bet not many people do either. Stay away from these people, their call center is atrocious. The hassle isn't worth the buck or two you save.
Finn is the best customer service I have ever met. Yesterday, I want to buy a laptop at staples, so I bought ten gift card each with $50. But the manager in store told me I can only use up to 4 for the purchase... So I called Raise customer service line 8am this morning. And then I met the wonderful customer service Finn. At the beginning, I asked whether I can combine 10 gift card in to 1. Finn said raise can not do that but he said give him couple of minutes to check whether more information can be found. Couple of minutes later, he did not find a way to combine these gift card, however, he give me wonderful news! Staples can use up to 10 gift cards if I print out the vouchers! I was so surprised and asked where he got the wonderful information. He then said he called the staples customer service using the couple of minutes. I really appreciate raise, and really happy that raise has so smart and helpful customer service.
I sold 2 egifts cards totaling $392, and they dont want to give my funds, I been contacting them but no help from them. This is a crime and a scam.
My email is *******@gmail.com, in case Raise finally decide to resolve the issue.
I spoke with Naevia on three separate topics regarding my account with Raise. She was able to help me on all three fronts with promptness and clarity. It was clear that she knew the system well and could answer my detailed questions. 5 stars for Naevia.
On the other hand, the wait time was horrific. It took me 5 hours to speak with someone. The call back feature is the silver lining on the wait time. I hope I will not need it next time.
I received great customer service at Raise today. The Post Office tore the envelope my gift card was in, and of course the envelope was empty. There actually wasn't even an envelope left, just the front part. It also took the Post Office two full months to send it to me. I called Raise and they couldn't have been more understanding. After explaining the situation, they refunded the card in full. Amazing, wonderful experience with customer service.
All it fine and well until you actually want to get your funds from selling a gift card. They say that you can receive your money via ACH, PayPal, or a check in the mail. Might seem okay until you realize that they charge $30 for a paper check, PayPal wouldn't authorize the transfer because they don't deem them trustworthy, and the ask for a social security number to do an ACH transfer. Not giving my social to a company that PayPal doesn't think is trustworthy. I sat on hold for hours trying to get them to wave the $30 fee since PayPal wouldn't allow a transfer, and they wouldn't budge. It took them days to respond to anything via email, and their hold times were completely ridiculous. I will NEVER do business with this company again and I still have yet to figure out a way to get my money.
I had an issue using an IKEA card which I purchased back in Jan, 2017. And I contacted Raise support via online chat, and it took me little time to have the issue resolved and I got full refund of the purchase. Of course, I am a bit disappointed with the failing gift card, but, I won't complain since I have saved a lot of money using Raise for my remodeling and furnishing project at my home. Thanks Raise! The customer support is awesome and the service is second to none.
Great business and website. I sold three gift cards (Kohls and Cheesecake Factory) and within 30 mins all three were sold and funds available to me. Fast service. I will definitely use them again. Great iPhone app also!
"I bought Lowes gift cards worth 5k$ with Raise. Lowes recently changed their policy and are no longer accepting egift cards. When I called up customer service they mentioned that they can't help since the purchase was made beyond 100 days. They knew that Lowes changed their policy on egift cards but did not bother to inform their customers. I was a loyal customer of Raise for more than 2 years and have purchased close to 10k$ worth of gift cards and they still did not want to help since my purchase was beyond 100 days. This company customer service is horrible. Even the supervisor Suzy would rather let the loyal customers leave than help them. I have stopped using Raise from then on."
I bought many macy's voucher. Initially these card worked, later macy's website can't recognized them. I have more than $1,000 macy's card. When I contacted raise, they said because of out of 3 months, they couldn't refund me. I still couldn't figure out what's happened.
I had unknowingly bought a card from Raise that turned out to be fraudulently sold to them. I was refunded my purchase price and sent an email to get my points (264) back from Subway that they took totally away because of the card. It was a $50 card and still had a $46.42 balance when they closed it in Dec 2016. Subway also never notified me of the problem with the card. I found out the hard way when I went to use it in Jan 2017. The first rep for Subway was snippy and more or less said too bad, nothing I can do, you lose it all. The second rep, Lupe was very nice and sent my request for my points to be restored. The rep from Raise was Holden and he was wonderful every step of the way. He resolved it in minutes. Thank you Holden!
Fawn in Customer Care spent time on the phone with me walking me through how to 'cash in' the money I made selling my gift cards I couldn't use. She also helped educate me on my responsibilities as a Seller [just in case I hadn't yet read the fine print]. She was polite and kind, extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.
Well Guys i did leave a review before about raise and my purchase for the cold stone gift card, they are way beyond a ripoff, they kept the money for that card that wasn't working plus they blocked me from geting into my account, which supposedly they give me a $25 in reward to use instead of refunding me my whole $73, so there you go i advice every one not to use it.
Tried to order a card. Had me call them up to "verify" my order. Asked for all sorts of personal info which they had no need of to process my order for a gift card including my birthday, etc. Then cancelled my order and blocked me as a customer when I wouldn't give it to them. Shady company
Glitchy website and terrible customer service! Showed $69 total with $5 coupon code, charged my credit card $74 and they refused to provide even a $5 credit to a previous customer despite false advertising.
This agent needs to be teaching the other agents not that i have had any problem with any of them this agent went overboard to help me i have a prepaid card and cant use it on site called again on this problem to see if we could get the card approved on their site this agent went past the other agents in trying to help found out it's the bank not raise that's the problem so thank you so much for your site thank you and God Bless Joe.
I bought a five below gift card at raise.com this month, but while I checked out on just passed thanksgiving day, I was shocked to know that the balance of this card is $0.00,... So, once I'm home after shopping, I sent a mail to raise.com to pass this issue to them. I'm so glad that I got their prompt attention, and in a very effective way, they refund the whole money back to my account.
I feel so happy and feel sooooo confident in shopping at raise.com now. I would say great thanks to raise.com, I bought a lot of gift cards over their, and I've saved a lot of money in shopping. I always tell my friends, saving is earning, to buy gift cards at raise.com is the easier way for me to improve my life quality.
I love raise.com, thanks again!

I bought a couple of wholefoods giftcards in 2015 of about 300 dollars. You would assume gift cards never expire right? Until one day I was in the store and got ready to pay. I found all ecards have turned to physical and I have never received any notice in any way. Of course, I never received any physical cards either! I just thought those cards are safely stored in the Raise app in my phone! I sent emails to Raise, they repeat the same saying "sellers are only required to store the physical cards for 100 days". So after 100 days, I am helpless. My money is gone, and I don't even deserve an apology since they are doing every right based on their saying.
Answer: I had a problem with the lowes gift cards i purchased from Raise as they did not work at lowes. It took upwards of 10 calls and over 3 months before I received my over $700 back. I will never buy anything on Raise again
Answer: People should unite and file a class action lawsuit against these guys, any attorneys reading this?
Answer: You check the balance on the business' website. For instance, if you have a McDonald's gift card, go to McDonald's website to check the card balance.
Answer: The usual issue is that someone will buy a gift card with a stolen credit card and then sell it to Raise (or others) for cash. Usually within 100 days the gift card issuer will find out when they have been charged back for the stolen card purchase, at which point they invalidate the card and zero the balance. Raise.com will refund you the unused balance on the card prior to it being zeroed out, but only within 60 days of your order. Their short protection policy limits their exposure if a high value card is invalidated and you come looking for a refund three months after you bought it. Every gift card reseller has a different policy for refunds. Some are as short as a few weeks, others last 100 days or more. Raise.com's 60 day policy is shorter than many of their competitors, which is why I don't use them much anymore. The lessons I have learned is only order cards you will use entirely within the next month, never gift them to others, and keep a spreadsheet if you order a lot of cards so you can keep track of balances. In all, I've had about 3% of the 200 cards I've ordered suddenly zeroed out. The majority were for improbably large amounts, which is why I now try and order lower value cards. One site suddenly listed 10 $100 gift cards for Jimmy Johns, a sub shop. One has to wonder who would order gift cards like this in the first place, only to put up for resale. It turned out the original buyer used a stolen credit card to buy them all and turned the proceeds into cash. The cards were all zeroed out. I have learned to be suspicious when a large number of high $ value cards in the same amount suddenly go up for sale. So while it may make sense to buy a $100 gift card for Sears, it usually isn't to buy a $100 gift card for Dunkin Donuts.
