My wife and I went out to our normal Tuesday night restaurant, I was shocked when the Gift Card that I had used several times before, showed a zero balance. It should have had over $80 left on it. I was angry and upset. I called RAISE support and spoke with SOPHIE. She could not have been nicer. I knew right away that SOPHIE would take care of the problem. What a RELIEF!
Thank you Raise and Sophie for re-assuring me after a terrible experience.
Rick (now a loyal RAISE customer).
I contacted Raise in reference to an issue that I had with an order. I dealt with Brad from the Raise support team.
In addition to addressing my issue Brad took the time to assure i understood the problem, how it could have possibly occurred and what i could do in the future to avoid the issue if at all possible.
As a customer one expects competence and attention when dealing with an issue or a problem, what set this call apart was the additional attention that Brad took to make sure I understood and that I was comfortable with the issue and solution. Brad was an absolute pleasure to deal with. If, in the future, i find myself in a situation and needing to call again... I would prefer to deal with Brad again and no one else. In my experience with Raise... I have talked to about a half a dozen individuals. Allthough none of the other calls were negative, I would certainly prefer to work with Brad in the future if the need arises.
When cards do not arrive and you call/email, Raise will give you a very polite answer as to why. Unfortunately, it's all hot air! Then they will give you a PHONY USPS "tracking number". The time wasted on my part negates any savings on their discounted card purchase. Go ahead and contact your credit card company, dispute the charges from Raise, and get a credit back to your card. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Do NOT do business with RAISE, it is a crapshoot!
I bought a card from raise.com and I was given an ecard instead of gift card. I needed a gift card. I contact the company and they refused to honor their "100% satisfaction guarantee". I am out $50 due to this rotten company. DO NOT BUY from them you will be sorry
I have used your services several times, and have only called once, only to ask a question. Naevia, thank you for your more than pleasant conversation and the quick response to my inquiry. I will be recommending "RAISE" services to others.
Thanks again,
Don Tonneslan
I prefer to get the physical cards, and I didn't know what the timeline was for receipt. It had been a week, and I was afraid someone might have stolen it in transit or out of my mailbox. Naevia explained it all to me and gave me the expected arrival date. So all is well.
Only trouble I had was if the card doesn't. Show up as soon as I order. The 2 times it happened I called in and the card was quickly made available. I will not buy anything online or in the store until I see it the store is listed and if they have a card for sale. It takes a little time, but spending time to research and saving money is better than loosing out on saving
I am a couponer and it is. All about saving. I am totally happy
Awesome company
The first time I called on the phone, the man talked so fast and had an accent I couldn't understand what he was saying. I asked him to talk slower and I still didn't get the answer I was looking for.
When I talked to Lynn she was very polite and most of all she answered my questions and I finally understood what I was doing. If I had to call again I would hope to speak to her. I give her an excellent report!
I listed a card for sale in December and this afternoon received notification it had sold. This was my first time using the system and had totally forgotten I had posted the listing and sold the card to a friend in the meantime. I emailed customer service to inquire how to resolve this and ensure the buyer wasn't charged. Blair responded to my email within 25 minutes of reaching out to let me know the issue was resolved and the transaction was canceled. I was anticipating a complex resolution process with lots of hoop-jumping and forms, but the experience couldn't have been more streamlined and simple. I've had countless negative customer service experiences with eCommerce sites so this interaction was so refreshing and much appreciated. I'll definitely use the site again and would recommend it to others as well. Thanks again!
I have a problem with the Arby's card. When I went to Harvey's they said the card was not active and had a zero balance. I called customer support. They looked into the card and in fact the card was invalid. They immediately refunded my money and we are all happy. My experience was fantastic.
Purchased $150.00 in Cabelas vouchers.
When to Cabelas 3 days later to make a purchase. Cabelas says vouchers have zero balance. Tryed several times to redeem. Had to pay for the purchase with another means.
Called Raise for a refund and was told vouchers are good and would NOT issue a refund.
Stuck with $150.00 in vouchers that are useless according to Cabelas
Never buy a Raise anything again
They will let you list sell and upload your gift card as a seller using a VPN. But they wont let you withdraw to your same PayPal account that youve been using or have a check dispersed to the account if youre on VPN. No option to withdraw funds via their App or mobile site. Money laundering? Contacted CSR who disconnected chat and would not answer questions. Very bizarre... their recommendation was to go to a library to withdraw...?
I called about a gift card that I bought that was for $100. Wen I tried to use the card, the store said it had a zero balance. I checked on line and it also showed a zero balance. Raise support was able to credit me back the $85 I spent on the invalid card. I had purchased the card a month ago, and Raise honored their 100 day guarantee on the sale and did so in a timely manner.
Do not buy any E-Gift Card from them, the worst! I bought Bloomingdale's gift card, used on Bloomingdales's website, it got cancelled order twice, the card is generated from unknown internationl country, it is total fraud! Because of this nonsense I got block out by Bloomingdales website, I can never order online again, my account is high risk thanks to Raise.
I purchased an AMC gift card that was an online e certificate and was told it would be available in one hour. It was not. I was then sent an email that said I needed to be verified and to contact them. Ok. No problem, I did that today. Then after being told by the first CS agent that I couldn't just be refunded (as I wanted to use the certificate last night), I was transferred to another CS rep to be verified. She started asking me questions like my birthdate, places I lived over the past 30 years, etc. It made me very uncomfortable because I felt like it was an identity theft thing. I told her that I did not feel comfortable answering these questions and asked to be refunded. She said no problem, we will refund you and hung up abruptly. I'm hoping they will, but it was just a strange experience! I've never had this happen on any other sites and I do alot of online purchasing through ebay, amazon, nomore rack, etc. And have never experienced this! BEWARE!
I bought a card, it had a zero balance. I was ran through a lot of hoops and then told it could not be refunded because the company was going out of business. It wasn't when I started the dispute, but by the time I received a response and finished running through hoops, it was. Terrible response time, and terrible service. I ended up filing a dispute with my credit card company. A few weeks later I went to use a different card I had purchased prior to this ordeal. It too didn't work. I called and the rep verified that the pin was invalid on the card and the card would not work. They could not refund me because my account had been put on hold because of the dispute. This is completely unrelated and even verified by the customer service rep. What a crock. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. The "guarantee" is a JOKE!
Daisy was phenomenal! She took the time to listen to my issue, she empathized with my situation and gave me options until we found a fix that left me 100% satisfied. I was read y to write off Raise and delete my app, only because of Daisy am I willing to give Raise a 3rd chance.
I used to be an active costumer of raise but recently I noticed that there is 0 balanced in most of the gift cards I bought from them (taco bell, panda express, golden corral,... I bought them a couple of months before). What they do they randomly zero the balance of gift cards and some people follow that and some not, and they take money from the people who do not follow that, and if you are over 100 days the do not even care about that and they dont help you at all and u lose your money. I lost over 100$ on restaurant gift cards and I am so mad at them and they dont help fix the problem. Never trust them, them, NEVER
Raise.com indicated it was a Brighton "gift card" but it was actually a merchandise return card which states on the back that it can NOT be sold and its nontransferable. It was signed by the previous owner. When I called Raise.com they said they verified that it can be used and to call a local store to see if they will accept it before I make a trip to the store. Well... I tried using it online, Brighton said it can NOT be used online, AND the local store said they can NOT accept it as they could get in trouble because I was NOT the person who signed the card! So I had no choice but to return the card. I told Raise that they should not allow a card that stated it can not be sold or transferred! Raise claimed that I really didn't buy the card from them but from the person selling! What?! I bought the card on the Raise.com website! I got my refund BUT I really wanted the gift card that I though I was buying! Beware, you might get a merchandise return card NOT an actual gift card!
I order a petco card never got it. Wasted 14 day waiting for it. Called then they Said there was no tracking on the card. They would not send me my card but just a refund. So you really don't get any saving just a refund so it is a waste of time to order a card because you won't get it. Just a stupid refund. So don't use it because it sucks bigs time and a waste of time.
Answer: I had a problem with the lowes gift cards i purchased from Raise as they did not work at lowes. It took upwards of 10 calls and over 3 months before I received my over $700 back. I will never buy anything on Raise again
Answer: People should unite and file a class action lawsuit against these guys, any attorneys reading this?
Answer: You check the balance on the business' website. For instance, if you have a McDonald's gift card, go to McDonald's website to check the card balance.
Answer: The usual issue is that someone will buy a gift card with a stolen credit card and then sell it to Raise (or others) for cash. Usually within 100 days the gift card issuer will find out when they have been charged back for the stolen card purchase, at which point they invalidate the card and zero the balance. Raise.com will refund you the unused balance on the card prior to it being zeroed out, but only within 60 days of your order. Their short protection policy limits their exposure if a high value card is invalidated and you come looking for a refund three months after you bought it. Every gift card reseller has a different policy for refunds. Some are as short as a few weeks, others last 100 days or more. Raise.com's 60 day policy is shorter than many of their competitors, which is why I don't use them much anymore. The lessons I have learned is only order cards you will use entirely within the next month, never gift them to others, and keep a spreadsheet if you order a lot of cards so you can keep track of balances. In all, I've had about 3% of the 200 cards I've ordered suddenly zeroed out. The majority were for improbably large amounts, which is why I now try and order lower value cards. One site suddenly listed 10 $100 gift cards for Jimmy Johns, a sub shop. One has to wonder who would order gift cards like this in the first place, only to put up for resale. It turned out the original buyer used a stolen credit card to buy them all and turned the proceeds into cash. The cards were all zeroed out. I have learned to be suspicious when a large number of high $ value cards in the same amount suddenly go up for sale. So while it may make sense to buy a $100 gift card for Sears, it usually isn't to buy a $100 gift card for Dunkin Donuts.
