I read a lot of the reviews after I purchased my daughter's shoes and thought oh no I hope this goes well. I didn't have to deal with customer service, I didn't have to wait long for them to arrive either. I ordered on 8/20 and paid the extra fee to have them delivered sooner and received them on 8/23. Everything was great from the size to the quality of shoe. I will be ordering again soon! Don't let these reviews keep you from ordering with Rack Room.
They have very poor customer service. I ordered 5 pairs of shoes for my kids and for my 8 toddler shoes they sent me a size 8 womens. I have been trying to get them to fix it for over 2 weeks and my son still doesn't have his shoes. They did at least send me a label to return the one they messed up for free, but it's ridiculous trying to get his shoes! It's one excuse after another. They supposedly are shipping today. We will see. I was told that last week also.
Rude customer service.
Almost every sale is a scam. They tell you some mumbo- jumbo about every shoe and how they aren't actually on sale...despite the tags. It's ridiculous.
Meanwhile, we watch someone walk out of the store holding several stolen shoes in his arms with the alarm trigger and the sales people just smile and say "there goes another one."
Do not shop here if you value your time at all! They have awful customer service and the worst return policies! They first sent me the wrong size shoes on two pairs, and then they resent and the shoes were dirty! So frustrating and I would NEVER shop their again.
I purchased 2 pairs of Nike running shoes for my son in store. I knew I'd need to return one pair as I wasn't sure of his size anymore. I asked the woman when checking out if I could return them. She said sure just keep the receipts. I did but when I took them back she accused me of letting him wear them and then returning them. All because the velcro on one shoe had bumped the other shoe while in the box leaving a tiny smudge that literally wiped off with just a finger swipe. She was very rude and unprofessional and now I'm stuck with a pair of size 3 Nike shoes I can't use.
I've been shopping here for years. They decided it would be fun to double charge me 42 dollars twice. They won't refund. They keep saying I wasn't double charged. But I was it's on my bank statement. I will never shop a rack room shoes again. Their customer service is trash. I would recommend paying extra to go anywhere else but here.
I came in and returned an item I had bought. I was very unhappy with the service I received from both store employees and customer service. Almost 60 dollars and it's been a week, still have not received my refund. I was hung up on at the end of the call with customer service before finishing. I'm am very upset and will never shop with this company again. Very unprofessional.
Had to get work shoes. Went a couple of days in a row because I couldn't make up my mind. So I asked a girl who is always putting up shoes whenever I went if she could recommend something, she's tall, with glasses. I didn't remember her name. She was quite helpful and friendly. I had asked the manager the day before but she seemed busy so I just came back the next day and the young girl helped me. And they have pokemon stops in the shopping center too. So if you go get shoes maybe don't ask the young manager ask the tall girl with glasses. She will be happy to help you.
I bought two pairs of shoes & a small sling backpack from there. The backpack was fine no complaints. I didn't like how everything shipped separately but the shipping was pretty fast so no complaints there. The first pair of shoes (mine) came with that plastic tag (it goes off if you walk of the store without taking it off) so that was an inconvenience and I had to go to a random sneaker store to ask them to take it off (which she was not supposed to do but was nice enough to do it anyway). My biggest complaint is that the second pair of shoes (my boyfriends Valentine's Day present) came in a tote up box, come on now that's ridiculous this is a GIFT & now I have to present this tacky piece of sh*t box and explain to him that I ordered from a company who could give a f*ck about the satisfaction of their customers. This rate only got 2 stars because I was surprised of the shipping especially after reading how so many people had messed up shipping or never got their shipments, etc. that was the ONLY plus or else this rating would have been 1 star.

A fifteen dollar coupon. She stated that I needed to use on or before September 30,2023. I informed the sales associate that I needed another package of white Niki socks, since I couldn't locate them. She came over and found them for me. I use the coupon that was given to me. Excellent customer service.
Reading these "reviews", makes you wonder what planet some of these people live on. Each brand fits differently. Unless you or reordering something you already have, or tried on at a store, chances are they are different sizing. Again, Each Brand Fits Differently! Stop complaining about return shipping fees. Those returns are your fault!
Great variation in shoes & some really good deals... doesnt mean I always find my size or style I'm looking for, but better than any other shoe store or shoe department within a store that I gave ever shopped.
The Pickup Service for Rack Room Shoes in Pineville, NC is terrible. My order was not ready for pickup after being notified by email. The Associate circled the store 3 or more times trying to find the shoes in my order. After waiting for all the time to gather my order then the associate pulls out each pair from the boxes and my 8 year old daughter sees one of the shoes and realizes she is seeing her christmas gift before christmas. Its 12/23/20 what else are purchases for? I purchased these online so my kids do not see what I am buying for them. After talking with the Store Manager about this terrible experience I was told there was nothing that could be done.
I ordered boots for my daughter in law and they are showing delivered to an address in Kentucky while I'm in Ohio. No response to emails, phone calls, or live chat. What a joke. FedEx can't help because the item shows delivered. My only option at this point is to dispute the charge with my bank because apparently this company is nonexistent and bogus. They aren't keeping my money. BEWARE!
First of all they sent my shoes to the wrong address, then they tried to blame FedEx, but FedEx said that Rack Room shoes gave them the ok to drop them off at my old address which is in another city. I mean U can't be that stupid! They got poor customer service, they claim they don't have supervisors, they will never ever ever get my business again.
I broke down and bought an 85$ pair of boots at rack room shoes. I take an ee width so it's hard to find shoes anywhere. These boots at RR shoes only lasted a couple of months. The toe separated from the soul,(poor glue). I bought a 20$ at Wal-Mart that lasted longer, but they don't sell anymore. RR shoes CRAP.
Absolutely horrible customer service at the Castle Rock, CO location. Rudest workers. Really snotty workers accused us of wearing shoes and didn't want to give a full refund. We bought the shoes for my daughter (who wasn't with us). She didn't want them because she already had the same pair. So we returned 2 hours later to do the return. We never even took the shoes out of the box. Two workers, one named Mary and her manager, were extremely rude and said the shoes looked worn. The manager that checked us out 2 hours earlier had even looked the shoes over before she rang us up. But 2 hours later said the shoes looked worn. The shoes never even came out of the box or even my car. They acted like we were lying were so nasty about it. We used to shop there a lot, but will never go back. And will definitely let everyone we know about this store.
If you look at their return by mail section they make it sound so easy for you to return your shoes. Instead of just saying YOU pay for return shipping they play word games to make you think you will just attach the shipping label you receive with your shoes. I tried to find Out if I have to pay for return shipping before I made my purchase and nowhere does it specify that the customer will be paying for return shipping until you actually call customer service and find out you will be paying for shipping. In this case since I got buy one get one 50% off I'm returning the 50% off shoe which is only worth the value of the shipping so it's not worth my time or money to return it. They never get back to you when ask to escalate info to supervisor, they never knew how to fix my problem and literally refuse a supervisor. Customer rep was so unprofessional and never even apologize. First contact and such a back experience.
I'm really surprised that this is how someone does business in 2019. I placed an order for 2 pair of shoes, one to be picked up and the other to be shipped. I never received a confirmation email and my order was no where to be found when I logged in. However, my credit card was charged. I did eventually get an email that my pick-up was ready but the order still doesn't show up in my account on the website. I ordered in time for Christmas but it isn't looking good for the 2nd pair of shoes. Here I am 3 days later and I still don't have an order number for the 2nd pair of shoes so they will probably not get here by Christmas. I tried calling Room Rack Shoes on 2 separate occasions and I was on hold with no end in sight for over 20 minutes! That's crazy. I can't recommend this business. It's VERY unorganized and is causing lots of frustration.
Answer: I would advise potential customers to consider whether they have a retail location nearby. While Rack Room Shoes has great pricing, their online return policy leaves something to be desired in the modern marketplace. In a day and age when return shipping at no charge is offered by many clothing and shoe companies on the internet, you will have to pay return shipping out of your own pocket plus be liable for any shipping charges taken out of your refund with Rack Room Shoes should the shoes not fit/work out for you. In the end, you might spend between $12 and $25 for the round trip shipping... and have nothing to show for it. After making 3 phone calls, and a week waiting for a return phone call that never happened, I spoke with Lisa, supervisor of customer service (800)248-0692, about this policy. She was polite and offered to refund only the original shipping charge. Internet pricing and no charge return policies being what they are at major online retailers like Amazon and Zappos, I suggested that their shipping policy being on the customer should be pointed out on each product page of their website. I am sure this will not happen, since it would certainly lower their sales to customers who don't live close enough to a retail store for returns. BE AWARE. I am still out $11.92... don't let this happen to you!
