Purolator will not deliver to my postcode, but inform the supplier that the item is 'delivered' when it is kept at their depot on Lonsdale. I have disabilities and cannot make the 80 minute round trip to pick it up even if I wanted to. They then return the goods to the supplier after a few weeks and somebody pays for it all; I cannot get the items, regardless of how urgent. They refuse to deliver to people in at least 3 areas of North Vancouver, where ALL other couriers and the post office deliver. I would strongly advise everyone to use a reputable courier instead - there is a very good reason for all the one star reviews; Purolator simply don't care!

I sent a package for Valentine's Day from London Ontario to Montreal in very good time. The unit number of the apt. Was missing. Rather than call the receiver, the driver put an address incomplete message. No one called the sender; no one called the receiver. Why? Because the drivers do not have phones, despite the fact that each package MUST have a phone number on it. What is the point of the phone number if it cannot be used. I then spent more than an hour solving this issue. Package will now be delivered 3 full days after it was supposed to be delivered. Completely inefficient process. Wish I could give zero stars.

Purolator in Ontario is terrible. They have a very hard time hiring employees that are capable of properly routing/loading trucks. Today was the second time this year that my items that I ordered online were routed to Cornwall/Montreal instead of to Kingston delaying my delivery. Also, why do their delivery drivers seem to be so lax, so uncaring on getting items delivered promptly? If you have a choice with delivery options when you order something online my recommendation is to look at someone other than Purolator... save yourself from the frustration that comes with using Purolator.

Absolutely horrible service
September 28, 2020

Purolator marked my Amazon purchase as delivered. When in fact they had it 100 km away at their Purolator location and weren't willing to deliver to the address on the package. So what's can't get a refund on Amazon for non delivery and I can't talk to any of these incompetent people because for 45 min now. They won't even answer their phone. Incredibly nervy!

Next day delivery from Best Buy, don't count on it. Purolator don't show and blame you -"receiver inaccessible" - when you waited all day for them. Then you have to wait days before they will actually deliver your package. The text alerts would be great if they actually used them. Got one at 11:30 am and nothing more. Way to go Purolator you waisted my time and energy.

Had 2 packages that were heavy but clearly i paid extra for the shipping. Both were damaged and i even saw the driver drop 1 of them after i offered help but the driver just drove off. Filed a claim, that was a waste of time as i later got an email saying its the shippers responsibility. This company lacks competence and responsibility, what a shame, don't waste your money, use someone else. Luckly ebay took care of it!

Purolator dropped my parcel in the common area of my building without attempting to buzz me. I watched this as I have a lobby watch channel. Not one minute after he left someone picked up my parcel and left with it. Good job purolator, your employees are lazy and incompetent.

We've waited for our Purolator delivery for 3 days. They keep rejecting the address which actually has nothing wrong with it. We called and opted for pick up instead and even went to the depo hoping to claim the package yesterday. The customer service rep said we can pick up today at 1:15 pm but to my surprised I saw this note on my door saying "We're sorry we missed you" I am in my living room or close by during the time written on the note, if the driver knocks the door I will definitely hear it. Also, why was the package delivered when we already opted to pick it up. Now the note says pick up on Monday, 11/23! This is crazy! Are you intentionally rejecting the address and leaving sorry we missed you note to buy time for your backlogs? I read a lot of blogs about your service and your drivers don't even attempt to knock on the door and just swipe sorry notes and leave.

Drivers lie!

Ordered from Amazon Prime
Waited home for delivery, video security on showing lobby and front street. Then receive email from Amazon saying:

"Sorry we missed you. Purolator tried to deliver your package today but didn't want to leave it unattended.
Please look for a notice of attempted delivery or contact Purolator for the next steps."

Really? Look for a notice from a driver that video proves never drove down the street?
And customer service, "we'll attempt a second delivery",
If you can't manage it the first time what changed other than it's not the Saturday of a long weekend and the driver wants to get home that it's suddenly going to be become possible to deliver the second time?
Bluntly the drivers lie and the Company chooses to accept that as acceptable in order to maximize revenue.

Unless you are standing outside in your driveway you're likely not going to get your package. So many times that I am in my house and they have left without knocking on the door or ringing the bell. If they had, the dog would have heard them and barked for sure. They don't care obviously and I am left having to drive eighty minutes to their office to pick it up. If Amazon uses them, I never get delivery. Useless company.

I work for one of the largest IT industry in canada and we are solely dependent on Purolator services but sometimes when we want to schedule a pick up on call it takes me half a day to get in touch with customer service. This is absolute garbage service.

Slow, Unreliable

They always have "natural disasters" yet every other courier delivers just fine. Been waiting 10 days for a package from 4.5 hours away that got delayed for a "natural disaster" while sunny and clear weather, no war, no convoy, no nothing, finally got it resent with Fedex and had it overnight with no disaster. I'm on the hook for 750$ now to return the other one when it arrives from PuroLater which now has been sitting not moving, no updates from the "natural disaster". Absolutely pathetic company.

Now they dont even bother themselves in give us a notification informing where and when we can pick our package in one of their depots, they literally dont ring the doorbell as always and few moments later we get an email saying "sorry we missed you"
The phone number is useless no one answer, the chat is a way worst, all they do is to type "I dont know" in many different ways... so a package I should have received on a Thursday maybe just maybe it will be "delivered" on next Monday and they dont know if I can pick the package up in the depot, because they dont even know when the package is gonna be available for pick up... definitely the worst and most unprofessional company ever, there is no worst service than Purolator, not even in third world countries... Purolator should close their doors as a company.

WORST service.

This company is really bad joke. With so many customer complaints, this company should be sacked. Promised delivery day on 12/16/2022 now its saying 12/19/2022 because of "Weather delay" and I saw their courier truck stopped in front my house for few seconds and left without delivering on 12/16/2022, then I get a message "Weather delay". And they will deliver on 12/19/2022. What a joke

Worst company

If I just have an option not to use them in all my parcels i would never even look at it. Things that repetitively happened in all my transactions to them: 1) deliver person are lazy, they dont give you time to open the door for them, they door bell and it you did not answer for few seconds they are gone. 2) customer service convey wrong information, they provide unsure answers to your inquiry, i wasted an hour to go and pick up my parcel because they said it will available for me, i get there and parcel is gone. 3) calling them is almost impossible, it will take an hour to wait for a real person and their robots are not helpful at all. 4) stuff in the facility are like robot, they work because they need to, no help and they dont care! I'm wondering if they are also the one acting as robot in the phone

I went in to 2801 45 ave in vernon today to ship a package out to burnaby...they told me about the flat rate box they had and saved me a lot of money.The girls there had me laughing the whole time, the energy in this place was amazing made my day for sure. Thank you jody and jessica for everything.

The worst delivery experience that I have ever had.
Do not waste your money and time going there. They never deliver, the couriers only claim to try and could not meet any one. Later they claimed to buzz the door but my wife was at home throughout.

Worst of the worst company. Even under developing countries have better couriers that Purolator

There's nothing else to be said that has not already been said. Clearly they are a 0 out of 5 stars.

They are now outright lying saying: "Weather delay - service will resume, weather permitting"

Asides from the fact that there are 0 weather issues. Their service is utter trash, nothing they can do, and if you request to pick up your package to speed things up they offer you at least 3-5 business days in delay before its ready for pick up!

Unsure why they are still being used as a shipment method, nor why they are in business - as they clearly do not want to be in it.

Never delivered my package

I work from home and order many things online. I never had any problem with any company except Purolator. There is always an issue! Last time, they called me to say that the driver could not deliver my package because he did not have the code to enter my building. There is no code! They gave me a number to call which was a random guy's cellphone (who didn't work for them). I then called the central to tell them to deliver my package. They said no we need a code… I said well just leave it at a Purolator location and I'll pick it up. They said no and returned it to the sender. This was not an expensive purchase that needed a signature… how lazy

Terrible service
January 10, 2023

First, they blamed the delay on the weather, then when it was out for delivery, the truck broke down on Friday, then on Monday the conveyer belt broke down, so more delay. Was supposed to be delivered last Thursday, but now it is Tuesday, and still nothing. The chat does not work, the wait on the phone is 1 hr, and the person finally talking has no idea what is going on. Asked Amazon. Not to use this useless company to deliver, but they don't care about that. Purolator never delivered anything to me without some kind of glitch. How can they operate like this? Frustrating.
