PUROLATOR FRAUD/MISREPRESENTATION
We were told our sign (NOT ARTWORK AS THEY SAY NOW) was TOTALLY insured for replacement cost when speaking on the phone to a Purolator employee, Yes it was damaged and they gave us the run around saying it was improperly packaged and when they saw that wasn't working they then tried to say it was art, even after ruining the customers sign (NOT ART) they won't come good on their promise. It's right in our name CANADA WOODWORKS & SIGNAGE,we are a sign company not an ART company...go figure? We have spoken with several staff members including Rebekah Cisse as well as the National Manager Claims Preet Noorpuri, both were left scrambling for answers BOTH were NOT qualified to do their job. Both had told us CLAIM DECLINED even though they had ZERO information about the claim at the time. We have now started an online campaign to EDUCATE the public as to Purolator's practices of conducting business. Please be aware of what they are able hide with their millions of dollars profit in advertising. We hope this helps at the very least one single person but so far from our social media post we have 128 people that have STOPPED using PUROLATOR. After the social media campaign our lawyer will be suing. Thankfully 2 ex employees have reached out to us and 1 current employee to make us aware of company practices on dealing with a claim.

My complaint is really two part: I ordered what I thought was local flowers from Bloomex to my sick daughter in Kelowna. Turns out that they were not local at all, and the shipping date of Monday, Feb. 28 was impossible to begin with. In the end, they gave me a full refund, but the real problem was Purolators fault for the most part. I could have accepted an extra day in delivery of the flowers, and everything would have been fine, but for whatever reason, the driver ran out of time. One would think that Tuesday deliveries that were incompleted would be first to finish for Wednesday, but it didn't work that way. Instead Wednesday they unloaded those deliveries back to the warehouse, and then delivered Thursday. Thursday, they left a note on her door to come pick up in the warehouse cos for whatever reason, they didn't want to leave them on the doorstep. My sick daughter went down to Purolator later that day to pick up and said they were not at the warehouse as of yet and to come back the next day. The next day she went back to the warehouse but for whatever reason, they decided to put them back on the truck to redeliver. Then they lost them. Saturday they put a tracer on them, and by Monday, I pleaded that the flowers would be dead, and couldn't they just buy a new bundle and stuff it in the jar that was part of the arrangement and make it right. Tuesday they found the dead arrangement and teddy bear, and I called them to leave a message for the driver to please just leave it on the doorstep and again, asked them to replace the flowers - buy a small bunch of tulips or something fresher, for all the trouble they caused. They said they couldn't replace the flower for whatever reason, and hopefully, she gets the dead arrangement in the jar, with the card and bear today but I am not holding my breath as it has been over a week now. Totally useless! They have no way to relay any messages to the drivers unless you call the day of, and then they text them. They need to improve their system on so many levels including allowing the driver to see notes and make notes regarding each delivery. It would have been helpful in this situation. Anyways, unacceptable, no responsibily for the screw-ups and such a disappointment!

Purolator has got to be the absolute worst...
Purolator has continued to remain entirely unreliable. I have not received my package even though I was home ALL day waiting for it. Said it was delivered in the am... I sat here in my living room watching TV and staring STRAIGHT out my window. IT DID NOT COME HERE. And now they say, "well the computer says it was delivered so I can't help you". Great, thanks so much for the robbery of this pregnant lady. Don't know how anyone sleeps at night any more. I called to find out what is going on and they said they would follow up. I had to call back myself because they didn't get back to me. I also emailed numerous times. Not surprisingly this has happened with purolator before. One time they took a signature from an imposter who even spelled my last name incorrect (hello! The last name isn't spelled right!) and that $200 parcel was never resolved and I didn't get a refund so even a signature doesn't help! Another time they refused to deliver a package to my husband saying it was delivered and then when we said it was not, they responded with: "Oh, maybe it fell beneath or inbetween the seat..."; the package was a part for a weight lifting set which would be larger than a jumbo box of cereal... fell beneath the seat my left foot. And they never did deliver that package either... "It fell between the seats, sorry can't help you" is what we were told. What is going on in the minds of these criminals. This company is seriously mismanaged. I am so done with it. I have fully understood why so many family and friends have told us to never use purolator. And now, because of my frequent inability to see the negative in people and companies I have been taken advantage of by purolator too many times. I have had enough just like most people I know have also. It's sad that the standard Canada post is more reliable than this company. I know this comment will fall on deaf ears because too many of the employees in this company simply don't care about their customers and it's simply a job, not a service they provide as evidenced by the amount of people who "tried but can't" help. I understand one mistake or mishap, but every time I use purolator? That's a crazy coincidence or it could be that this company's management has its head up it's own rump.

I sent 2 packages with contents that I gave specific details for to the Puro people in Williams Lake, BC. Canada. They said no problem, it will get there in 3 days and took my $198.-- to send - I had also asked if it would be kept in a cold area, I had chosen the coldest week of the year to send. I was assured it would be kept on the truck till delivery and would be very cold. They never told me I was sending "AT SHIPPER'S RISK" items that Puro would not cover if damaged, delivered late, etc, etc.
They also did not tell me that their drivers are unable to deal with ANY AMOUNT of snow enroute, including a small skiff on the sidewalk just after being shoveled. They also didn't advise me that they don't use the phone numbers to call the receiver or the sender if they encounter any problems or questions. And they didn't advise me they just don't really care about whether your parcels get there or not, that they just want your money and will lie every step of the way - I should have checked the 1000's of negative reviews online before taking my parcels to them! The office staff at Grande Prairie, AB also just lied through their teeth about the whole thing too - after finally discovering that the parcels were just sitting at the office, and must have been purposely kept there for the full extra 6 days UNDER A HEATER probably because I specifically wrote in caps "PLEASE KEEP COLD". The tracking was an absolute lie and totally unhelpful as well. The whole experience was as rude, dishonest and non-service as possible - except when they took the money for the shipment! But even then there were outright lies about what would be done to my parcels.

My package was supposed to be delivered, February 3,2024 from Etiobicoke, a 20 minute drive from Downtown Toronto. My package was picked up at 10:45 am and never reached me, 20 minutes away. On February 4,2024 I spoke to two virtual assistants and also a real customer service agent. No one really knew what was going on with the package. The last information they had was that my package left Etobicoke at 10:45 am February 3. They had no idea where it was on February 4,2024 because Purolator depots are closed on Sunday, according to the live agent. Now, I was told by the real agent that it might arrive tomorrow, February 5; however, he did not really know. So it will have taken Purolator more than 48 hours to deliver a package that was 20 minutes away. They really do not know where the package is, when it will arrive, and have no real information about the package since February 3,10:45 am. It is now Sunday, February 4 at 12:44 pm. I do not know how Purolator stays in business.

UPDATE:

I received two responses from Purolator. They denied that their earlier tracking information stated February 3 as its delivery date. Unfortunately, the tracking information has been updated, so the original delivery estimate does not appear. However, here is the information that I do have.

Purolator picked up the package from the Etobicoke facility on February 3 at 1:43 am, and it arrived at the Etobicoke sort facility at 1:44 am the same day. Then the package departed the sort facility at 1:46 am. Then the package was in limbo until February 5 at 6:05 am until it arrived at the North York depot. The first Purolator shipping manifest was created on February 2,2024 and the final on February 3 at 10:44 am. I received the order finally at 1 pm on February 5. So it took the package from February 3 to February 5 (over 48 hours) to go from Etobicoke (30 minutes from where I live) to North York, (also 30 minutes from where I live). It took over 48 hours to go a 30-minute distance by Purolator. On February 4, when I talked to Purolator agents, they were not certain where the package was. The last information they had was that the package left Etobicoke on February 3. Why do companies use their service?

Purolator blamed Bestbuy for not clearly informing me about their [poor] service, and Purolator blamed me for not reading all the fine print.

Moreover, Purolator said Sunday is not a business day. Maybe not for Purolator, but, retailers, many courier services in Canada, and even some, financial institutions are open and working 7 days a week and have been doing so for many decades. Purolator should bring itself into the present.

The only mistake Bestbuy made was to choose Purolator as its courier. My mistake was to have selected a retailer who uses Purolator as its courier.

Purolator confirmed twice that it did not care about the businesses it ships for, nor the end user who suffers from their questionable service. That is the unfortunate final customer, ME.

Worst company ever
May 24, 2025

Paid for overnight delivery from Vancouver to Montreal and 3 days later package still hasn't arrived. They want to blame customers for their lack of service, their customer service is pathetic and employees should learn that they work for the customer not for themselves. Even the post office does a better job and Purolator is a Canada Post company. Never use them much better and more dependable companies out there …. This company is embarrassment

If they go out of service, I won't be surprised at all, as how can you do terribly every step of the way and stay in business?! Their tech is horrible! It is supposed to send updates and it doesn't! Their delivery person doesn't buzz or knock and then marks it as "receiver not available". Their customer service doesn't have any info except what their outdated website shows! They leave a notification that you can pick up your package when and where but you go there and it is not there! I can go on and on about their awful service!
