I was waiting for my package all day. When I went downstairs to check, the driver came to the door of my building, slapped the notice on the door, got back into his vehicle and left. He wrote on the notice that there was no buzzer number on package, which is true, for a good reason. We have buzzer numbers posted at the entrance door but we don't advertise them on the Internet to protect ourselves from break-ins. If Purolator carrier is too lazy to look up the buzzer number, maybe Purolator should not be in the delivery business. This is only a problem with Purolator. Canada post has no problem; FedEx has no problem. To add insult to the injury, I called the same day to rectify the problem, but the next business day I was told I won't receive the package until customer service resolves the ticket--whatever that means. So, one star only because I can't post zero stars.
Ordered online from Canadian Tire with ship to home. Driver did not deliver due to road construction & I had to walk a block and 1/2 to get package from the driver and carry it home. Meanwhile canpar and fedx are delivering across the street. Complained to purolator and Canadian Tire. Decided to shop with ship to home with Home Hardware... They used purolator as well and I did not know. Guess what? Driver will not deliver because of construction even though every other company is up and down the street delivering. Retailers need to post who does their shipping so we can avoid cut rate deliverers like purolator. Offer different delivery services would be good. By the way I am 73 yrs old and do not drive so the block and a half picking up my package and carrying it home was not a pleasure. Pictures show the street that every other company can manage but not these guys.
By far the worse delivery service i ever used. They dont let you know anything about your package, no updates of any kind, the hold your package in one place for days. They are the most incompetent company that i ever seen. They should get out of business
Had a package that was supposed to be delivered friday, they put a "missed delivery" notification on saturday and backdated it friday 1pm. I was home all day and I didn't get my door buzzed or anything. This was frozen meat that was ruined by the time they delivered it on monday. Terrible service.
They don't call, text or email about notification. I was home when they attempted to the deliver, and it seem the building were I live had the front door lock, instead of trying to call me or text or anything freaking thing they decided just to leave, I didn't receive a notification about it, I only noticed because when to the website to track my package, and according to it, after the attempted delivery, my address needed to be corrected, even though they have the right one, and the las update according to the website, I needed to make an appointment for delivery. I call them, and they tell me they don't know what time they could come, how the F I'm supposed to know if the f package is here is no one calls me nor gives me a specific time, I'm not going to spend my whole day waiting outside the building, I have to work. I'm so pissed.
More often than not it seems like orders I ship get separated from each other. They lose complete orders. They damage boxes. Their customer service is next level. Next level bad, that is.
I tracked an order. 2 of the 4 boxes that were shipped were separated. I tracked it, I knew they were separated, so I hopped on the live chat to see their exact whereabouts, if possible. They just told me exactly what the tracking site said.
I wasn't informed Purolator would deliver my parcel today, so I wasn't home when they came.
Now, I'm told to drive to another city to pick it up at a cost greater than what I already paid to have it delivered. Ironically, UPS left a package on my porch same day. No problem. Purolator sucks
They have bad label printers that can't handle any address that has extra info in it. Such as Building door codes, or instructions on where to leave the item.
Then when the driver arrives, they can't read the parcel label, because the printer messed it up. So, the tracking says that the parcel is undeliverable.
Then after a couple days, they manually print a new label and only include the most basic address information - which leaves off the information on how to buzz the building to get in the door.
So then the driver shows up, can't get in the building - so they just leave a note telling the customer to drive to teh depot and deal with the problem.
Purolator really needs to figure this issue out, and start delivery parcels properly.
I paid 14 dollars for next day delivery. My package required an address correction ( my address was correct) but they never sent me an email, message or anything for me to know it needed attention. I went into their website to track my package after the 3rd day it was not delivered. Their website was not working and i had no information or the whereabouts of my package. I had to call a few times until someone actually helped me track my package. Now its been 9 days and I haven't received my package and I have to go pick it up, not only that my package is not ready for pick up until next week. So i paid 14 dollars to do their job... great. I will never pick purolator for delivery.
What a useless operation, Purolator takes 3-4 times as long to deliver a package than any of the other major couriers. Their tracking system is basically "item has been delivered to sorting office"... then 4 days later "item has been delivered to sorting office". So bad that it could be Canada Post. Wait a minute, it is Canada Post, so that explains everything. AVOID Purolator.
It is the worst delivery company I know.
Every time I have a package delivery from them, we always get a delivery slip. The deliver person NEVER ring the bell and always marks as no one answer when always have someone at home.

Please don't this company for shipping anything valuable. Four days after they picked up the package the tracking still shows it has not been picked up. After calling then they confirmed it was picked up but cannot confirm where it is. They have lost it. Don't take a chance with these guys.
I have no idea what Purolator does to stay in business, but I assume they must run extremely lean to offer the cheapest price for companies. The way they conduct business should be borderline illegal.
The delivery drivers appear to prioritize getting through every house as fast as possible with minimal effort, as there must not be any process to catch drivers who regularly report that residents weren't home at a higher than realistic rate. There have been multiple instances of drivers not even attempting to knock before leaving a note.
Customer service also has horrendous communication, as multiple calls must be made to update a single piece of information.
By far the worst courier in the Greater Toronto Area, but unfortunately avoiding them isn't always an option. If there is an option to choose between Purolator or to pay extra for a different courier, I *very strongly* advise everyone to choose the latter option unless recieving a parcel up to 2 weeks late is not an issue.
We ordered a trampoline from Wayfair a month ago and we were told it would be here by April 8th. On April 14th they delivered half of it (box 1 of 2). Now they said the other half of our shipment is not with them but with another company that they hired. It's a mess. Our children are upset and we will never order anything that Purolator is in charge of. Just a nightmare. Where is the rest of our trampoline?...
I did order a RV water heater on demand.
When I received the box, 2 week later, the box was damage and been repair. The Purolator sticker was on TOP of the repair. It was damage before they send it. Now I have a 2 weeks wait the time they find my item in there stuff... Look like a mess in there maby... Plus some days for the bank to have my refund.
I find my self with no running water...
Purolator as disappoint me again.

Purolator will no longer be a choice for a cargo carrier for me. I will be notifying all of my suppliers that I will not be ordering anything as long as they refuse to deliver to my house.
"All" the other carriers deliver to my door. Their service apparently ends only a few doors down from me. Completely unacceptable. I am 5 km from the pick up location. Some of the items are either too large or too heavy to manage with a compact SUV.
This company has wasted so much of my time and money and I'm still waiting for my package. Who is the third party company that has my package? No one at the office knows where my package is. No one on the phone knows where it is? I'm paying way to much to have this package held hostage somewhere. It's a week late. I have items in the package I need to work. So, I'm loosing even more then the overpriced shipping.
Do not use this low quality company.
Without wasting my time, WORST DELIVERY SERVICE in Canada. They never seem to get your address right no matter how carefully you put down your address. It's a $#*! show
Purolator is the worst ever I had to deal with and it wasn't even my choice but the company I ordered from. I ordered the same thing online for the second time and even the first time They stated it was delivered to me and it never happened but they did the same the second time. I phoned customer service but the guy did not even know what he was talking about and said there is no mistake on their part. So I ask where is my package. He was not about to solve any problem but said the sending company told them not to ask for a signature just leave it. What a bunch of bologna are you in Kindergarten or something? What a stupid thing to say. As I looked at their reviews in general others have issues with these useless people hence the bad reviews. I will tell everyone I know about this make sure they never have to go through what I did. Also will be complaining to business bureau.

Answer: Dont bother. Train your people how to use doorbell. Common sense is not so common. If Canada post, Fedex and UPS can, why cant PuroLATER or PuroNEVER use the doorbell? During these hard times, the lease you can do is deliver the package in the most sensible way. Do it right the first time. If others can, why cant you? We need our packages and not your promises. Your company is a big joke. Modern pirates of our age.
