The picture says it all. WHERE SHOPPING USED TO BE A PLEASURE. Can't make this up. FROM HIGH PRICES TO ANIMALS AND UNACCEPTABLE ATTIRE IS ALLOWED.
I was at this Publix located at 2015 Edgewater Drive Orlando, FL *******, Store #659 on September 1st at approximately 12:30 PM, I asked the guy in the meat department about buying Turkey meat without antibiotics, he pointed me to some ground Turkey and he also said that they were on sale. So purchased two packages of the meats. After paying for the meats and other things I noticed I was charged the regular price. I took the meat along with my receipt to the customer service counter and the store manager name Patrick told me that I wasn't supposed to be in this store because I was escorted from the store by a police officer because he said I came into the store drunk with alcohol on my breath and I also spit on him. I told him that I never talk with him before and I certainly don't drink alcohol and I have never spit on anyone. I told him he mistaken me with someone else and he told me I was lying and I had to leave the store. I reported this to Publix public relations and I also called the local police department. The police ran my driver license and told me that they couldn't find a problem and I asked them what could I do. They told me that I could file a civil suit against Publix. I am going to see what the district manager have to say and if this matter is not resolved I will file a civil suit against Publix. I spent over 21 years in the Army and I am currently in college and I have never been humiliated in my life. A week later the district manager called me and said he had to talk with the manager and he would get back to me in a couple days. The district manager called me back and apologized for the store managers behavior and said that the store manager made a mistake. I told the district manager that he don't speak for the store manager because if the store manager discriminate against people because of my race or the store manager stereotypes because people are black then not only does the store manager has a issues but Publix Super Markets has a problem because they continue to allow this store manager to work at their stores which promote discrimination against people of color.

This morning I went to the Publix Super Market at Loughman Crossing to buy flowers and when I returned with the purchase in the car my phone slipped out of my pocket and fell behind the seat in the car and I did not know it. I returned to the store to look for my phone and the deli manager Ari took my problem as her own, she walked through the store with me and called from her phone to mine, she went to the office and looked at the camera, not seeing that I dropped my phone, she suggested take me to my car and ring there and maybe I will hear my phone and I heard the happy melody of my phone. I was happy, but that's not what I mean, I want to say how Ari took my problem very closely and not only professionally. And a little about the store itself, all the employees said good morning to all customers, eyes contact, very helpful, the store looks clean and beautiful. This is a new store and I really like shopping there.
Always go into Publix for their high quality meats, large supply of FRESH fruits and vegetables, and of course their bogo free deals. Their staff is always professional and knowledgable as well as courteous. But now I have an even more important reason to shop Publix. It was a Saturday afternoon and I was buying select items from Publix. Great experience as always. Leaving Publix to go to walmart for a few non-grocery items, plus a few grocery items that walmart has at a lower cost, when I noticed in Publix parking lot that I had a flat tire. I have a handicap that is not very noticeable to people if at all, but I can't change my tire. I went back into the store to ask at the service desk for the name of a service station or wrecker that I could get to change my tire. The young man informed me that he was going into the back to ask his manager. When he returned he informed me that his manager would be with me shortly when a man in suit, tie and white shirt came up beside me and asked to see my vehicle. After getting outside he removed his suit jacket, slung his tie around to his back asked me where my spare and jack was at. He said it was the first tire he has changed in over 15 years. I was, and am still, astonished. I'm 58 years old and seen most everything, but never anything like this. To top it off it was quitting time for him and he would not take any pay, or tip, at all. The gentleman's name is Wesley Griffin and this all happened at Publix store #0608 in Carrollton, Ga. Needless to say, I didn't go to Walmart for the few grocery items left on my list, but marched right back into Publix for the remainder of my list. I've always had a high regard for Publix but now it's reinforced. *******@yahoo.com
The weekly ad is sent to me then I write my entire grocery list at home. Saves time in store.
