This was the first purchase we've made from promgirl.com. The dress fit my daughter perfectly and she looked gorgeous in it. She got many compliments on it. Ordering was easy; my daughter (she's 13) measured herself and told me which size she needed. I ordered it late on a Tuesday evening, and received it on Friday. Much easier and less time consuming than going out from store to store. Great deal and value! Oh, just FYI, the dress is all white with a nude lining on top.
I was a little nervous ordering online. We were running out of time and couldnt find anything local that my daughter liked. We took the chance and we were not disappointed! The dress arrived beautiful, EXACTLY as pictured and expected (hoped for) and fit my daughter perfect with no alterations needed! Her friends have also ordered and had similar experiences.
When you order something that is not the size the company claims it to be- return it to be told they discarded the item from "failed attempts" to contact me. My phone never rang and received one email - in which I called for the recording to say the company was currently closed to call back tomorrow and tomorrow was past the "2 days to contact" them. I will be filing with the Better Business Bureau. It's not even about the money I spent on the dress but about how many people get treated this way. I know good and well address that was only tried on was return tags still attached inside the plastic was not discarded! Maybe you are getting the cute pink dress we returned
If you have any doubt about the dress do not purchase from this site! They use very shady tactics in their return policy... it is not laid out until you actually go online to get a return # and find out you have 3 days and for store credit only.
Definitely think twice about using this company if you are outside of the US. Whilst they do state that there will be import duties applied, they do not state:
A) by not declaring their shipping charges on the export invoice you will be taxed on a nominal shipping charge over twice the rate you have paid.
B) Also they don't state that UPS will charge another handling charge on top of the other shipping and import duties.
By the time you get the dress, which is reasonable quality and just about average value for money, you will pay in excess of an additional 42% of the original cost shown on line including their shipping costs, or approaching 50% if excluded.

I placed an order with promgirl.com for 20% off and Free shipping with a purchase of $100.00 dollars. I had spent over $200.00 dollars. They did not give me what they advertised. Got the credit card bill and discovered it called them and they rejected the offer and would not give me the discount. I would never buy from them again. They are fools to lose customers. I will also make sure all three of my daughters friends pass this information around.
Bought a pair of shoes for my daughter as a birthday present. The shoes were too large (ordered same size she wears}. When I called to ask about an exchange was told I only have 5 days from receipt of product. I suppose they expected me too have her try on her birthday present a couple weeks in advance. Won't by from these people again!

My parcel was "abandoned" (their words) and they refuse to do anything about it. They say it is because it has been over 30 days since the parcel was tried to be delivered, but within those 30 days I have been trying in vain to contact someone at the postal department about paying the excess customs duties. Now the parcel has been "abandoned" and it doesn't look like I will be getting any kind of refund. This dress was paid for by my mother for my daughter's prom as a gift. Needless to say we had to buy another dress and we are down over $400 for the dress with was abandoned. Good job Promgirl. Never again - stay away from this site.
I received my four dresses for my daughters banquet. Unfortunately all of them were sized differently and did not work out for her. I knew the returns policy and restocking fee. All dresses were returned immediately in original condition with original tags and in original bags/ plastic wrap. Prom Girl chose to hold the return refund for one of the dresses saying "it had to go to inspection" with no known reason stated. The have basically taken my money and not provided either a refund or a garment at this time. I am seeking compensation. It has been 9 days and not response from them.

Dress was just not what I wanted. Fit a little bit awkward on me but other then that I love the dresses that come from your company. And would love to know when I get my store credit back so I can order a different one.

Our dress came quicker than we even anticipated. We were pressed for time because prom was in a week and I think the dress came in 2 business days. The fit was true to size although we had to have the top taken up a little because she had a two piece. No complaints here. I was nervous about ordering online but my 15-yr-old insisted. My 17-yr-old ordered her dress at Dillard's and it took longer to receive it and it was too small. I will use promgirl.com again next year. Thanks for a great experience!
I had a wonderful experience with PromGirl! I was also wary at first of getting a dress online, but once a friend told me she got something there and loved it, I decided to try it myself. I found my dream dress, and I purchased and received it in the mail in less than a week. It fit perfectly and the quality was amazing. I would definitely buy from here again for my next formal event! Placed my order on Christmas day (yes I understand it will not be sent out until the next business day) and the Assistant Manager Kathy told me that the dress I ordered for NYE and paid $17.00 for 3 day shipping would not be delivered until the 4th?! Might have chosen the wrong shipping time, but instead of changing it she told me to place ANOTHER order and select the $22.00 shipping option. So for $5.00 they lost my order instead of changing the shipping option to get there one day earlier. Never even attempted to fix it, just asked if I wanted to cancel... of course I do & now the fight for my money back will begin. Terrible customer service, I highly do not recommend ordering from this site.

Dress didn't look like picture at all. Looks like I could have made it in jr high home economics class. I asked about exchanging or refunding. I sent pictures, they said there was nothing wrong with it.

I am often skeptical of ordering clothing online. I decided to try out PromGirl for my daughter's dress and would recommend it to anyone looking for special occasion dresses. The dress was beautiful and nothing about it was cheap on quality. Though we did measure prior to ordering, we found the original size ordered was still a bit too small. I contacted PromGirl the next day and had a shipping label in my email within minutes and shipped back the dress. Once UPS picked up the returning item, PromGirl Shipped the new item. Everything was quick and easy. I would not hesitate to order from them again.
Usually wear a 3, but the size chart told me to order a 5 due to my waist size (26") and I figured I'd need to get it tailored shorter bc I'm 5'2". Dress came and fit perfectly, the waist band was tighter than I wanted so I returned it for the next size up. Fits better, easy return and shipping. Good site overall. Dresses look much better in person than they do in the pictures.
Perfect dress just like picture, and cheaper that what I found in stores for same exact dress. Just make sure you are ordering the correct size. I ordered my daughters usual size, then measured her after placing order only to realize I should have ordered a size smaller. Even though my order had not processed I could not change or cancel the order. So I then had to order another dress and return the 1st size minus a re stock fee. Big lesson on my part, but they do state this on website. Fast shipping as well.
I wanted to place an order I tried first with an America Express than Mastercard, on both orders their system declines the order as if there is an address problem in my credit card information which has nothing to do with it. These are my cards for years and I just made a shopping with one of then from Apple's site. Although they give an error message both transactions are debited from my credit cards. So many issues with the bank to credit it. Don't depend on this site... I don't recommend.
