Terrible terrible

I order first dress received a dress with a default on it called promgirl and they send me a shipping label to send it back I received the seconde again with a default on it ( expensive and very very cheap) one strap was longer than the other! I send again pictures and again I send back the dress and they promises me that Im going to receive the dress on time without any default I called to check and I was going to receive it super late for a wedding that I was the bridesmaid so I called them back to cancel everything and ask them to give me my money back after a débats with them they finally accept so I send back the dress and every time I talked to someone they said the exact same thing so Im still waiting for my money because they are telling me that they open an invistfation with ups... why do I have to wait give me my money back its almost 300$ Canadian plus all the long distance call! So finally someone calls me and tell me that they gonna send and email for the refund when they are going to receive the dress! So I checked and i réalise that not only they make me wait to receive the dress to refund me my money but its the first dress that they did not receive so how come you send me the seconde one without receiving the first one and now your telling me I have to wait for my money! Poor costumer service they keep your money and you feel like you are talking to a robot now they promise me that they going to refund all my money without because its their fault sending dress with default I want my money back if you have problem with ups it is not my problem Im gonna right this every where because poeple need to know how you keep there money

Should have read the reviews before buying. EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAID!

Just like everyone else has talked about, this website was a HORRIBLE to deal with. They have soo many policies in place to make sure that it is IMPOSSIBLE to return the dress, unless you basically send it back the day you got it. I sent the dress back to get a refund, they emailed me to tell me it was over their date and I would have to PAY THEM shipping to have them ship my dress back, or the dress would just sit there and wouldn't give me a refund.
The gentlemen on the phone was rude, condescending and unhelpful. I kept trying to talk to someone who would help me out and basically got no where. When I finally got a hold of someone else to talk to, she basically said " I am the one who told him to tell you these things". They talked about the condition of the dress and being in smokey homes or with pets and that can damage the dress and quality... My stepdaughter tried on the dress 1 time. We don't smoke and we don't have pets... They had the dress there. If it didn't pass some sort of inspection or something, I would understand, but it sat in the box that it came in!
We found out that the dress wouldn't work pretty much right away, so I contacted them to let them know that I wanted to return in. Oh and yippie, you don't get the full refund because of a restocking fee! The dress was at my step daughters mothers house, so it took a little bit more time for her to bring over and return. Apparently you only have like 5 days to get it back to them. So since it was over the 5 days they couldn't accept it.
I was told by the customer service department that these are similar policies to other companies. WRONG i ordered dresses from a ton of other places online and have NEVER had this problem. In fact I ordered a dress for her to try on around the same exact time and sent it back the same time and they took it back, 100% refund.

You can tell by the comments that this Kim is giving that you don't actually respect feedback. I work in a customer service retail business... and EVERY single book you will read about successful leaders and companies do the exact opposite of what you guys are doing. All you do in your comments is tell people why they are wrong and why your policies are in place. You still sell the dress I tried to return to you. So your excuse of it being "seasonal" is a load of crap.

No wonder you have to search to give you guys a review... I have a feeling you have hid them so people can't see it.

I guess I am most floored by how unhelpful the costumer service department was. They were not willing to help in the slightest. Just kept telling me about their policies. It still doesn't make sense. I work with people every day and this goes against everything we teach our people. It's just sad.

Agree with the many about returns

I saw these reviews as I was trying to convince someone not to shop at promgirl for a dress they need for a wedding that is close. I ordered a dress in 2012. The dress did not arrive on time. We were also out of town and leaving the hotel the next day and according to shipment the new arrival was on a Monday, mind you our check out and trip make to VA from FL was on the Sunday. We express mailed a dress for a pageant and due to the fact the shipper could not deliver on Saturday, we had no access to the dress. We tried all means to get the dress to no avail etc. Promgirl knew of this shipper not working on a given day, the dress was already a day late, but said that the dress would have made it when we called.
Let's move forward: The dress did not arrive and we had to purchase a new dress that cost us twice the price. So, we called Promgirl.
The customer service representative stated they would handle the dress being returned from the shipper since we will not be able to receive the dress and we would receive a credit. She mentioned we could use the credit on next purchase. I was unhappy about the credit, but due to the fact we did get the dress on sale and I was now producing pageants, I felt, we could then use the credit to get a dress for an appearance.
We stated to the rep that to be on the safe side we will also notify the hotel to return it if the dress got delivered. She guaranteed us that they would handle it with the shipper as the dress was not delivered. Still being thorough, we told the hotel that if the dress were delivered that it be sent back. PromGirl did not contact the shipper, the dress was delivered and batch backed according to the hotel to the shipper and the hotel sent an email verifying it. Promgirl never honor the credit. Instead the customer service was uncouth. So, we ended up spending money on two dresses, the one we had to buy in Miami at a higher price for lack of service on Promgirls end. And we paid for the Promgirl's dress we did not receive. I have since dived more into a lot of things requiring clothing, but refuse to use promgirl as customer service trumps cheap prices. Google dresses and I can purchase from so many of promgirl's competitors. Word to Promgirl, your market share is important. To continue to grow that, adjust your customer service and train your customer service representatives to not just say things the company will not follow up with or do.
God is a Just God in the end.
