Nice dress. A little fraying in some places, but the fabric and cut make up for it! Also the slits of the opaque fabric are quite high. Metallic blue is beautiful though.
I ordered a dress may 20th and after 8 days i just got information it was just shipped and it wont arrive for my daughters prom! I called customer service many times during the past week and all i would get was that i would ship on that day i called and i would get an email... today i called them and their excuse for the dress arriving late is that last minute it was sold out, so i spoke to an incompetent manager "Mike" and he said well its arriving on the 31st in the evening and your daughters prom is the 31st, there is nothing we can do now so call us to return it when you receive it! Severely unprofessional company as i vould of been notified it was dold out/ or on back order and not fool me just because PROMGIRL only cares to profit. My daughter is left without a dress for prom because of this horrible company that is extremely unprofessional!

Don't believe the bad reviews! I ordered a non-refunded dress for my prom and was not disappointed! After reading all the bad reviews I was very hesitant in buying as this particular dress would not be able to be sent back. The dress was exactly what I ordered, color, size, and all. Those who complain about the quality may not realize prom dresses are made differently then you'd find any dress in a department store. They are more delicate in general and should be handled with care. This does not mean in any way they're lacking in material or quality because all "brand name" dresses I've tried on and seen are made this same way. I found it most helpful to try on dresses at a nearby dress shop in order to get a feel for what size I was. Because unlike most stores, prom dresses are not "vanity sized" and run much different then other dresses you'd find in a store at your local mall. Don't hesitate to buy from this website. The prices are the same if not better than what you'd find at other stores selling the same dresses. I'd just warn that you really look into a dress before buying because the pictures online will make colors look slightly darker or brighter, but not drastically one way or the other. If you know what you're getting into when you order, there should be no troubles whatsoever.
Prom Girl is an awesome website, I ordered my prom dress three days prior to my Junior Prom, I payed for next day shipping and they made sure to send me the dress in time! Also, I wish that they had sizes in Petite since i'm very short, I spent more at the dry cleaners than I did on my dress.
Meh, didn't really fit the way we wanted it to. Unfortunately we'll have to send back. Stretched in the wrong places. A bit disappointing since she is only a size 3.
If your dress arrives and does not fit, you are fine AS LONG AS YOU PURCHASED AT FULL PRICE! They will not accept even an an exchange if it was on sale. Bummer-I just needed one size difference. Not a good business practice.

An exchange would normally be done by returning an item and using store credit for the new size, however this cannot be done with a final sale dress. This site is utterly terrible. I placed an order on this dress and it said it would ship by a certain date but then it suddenly went out of stock when I checked my order status. They were very quick to take my money and still have not even given me a refund. Then the next day I noticed the dress was available again so I contacted customer service about it. Then the representative tells me that the dress will ship on 5/27/15 even though it was listed as it'll ship on 5/1/15 on the site. Why would they put a date thats incorrect like that? Instead of fixing it immediately? So I asked about another color of that same dress as it says it'll ship within one business day. Then the representative proceeds to tell me that the dress will most likely be out of stock if i order it. WHAT IS THE FREAKING POINT OF LISTING A DRESS AS "IN STOCK" AND THAT IT'LL SHIP THE NEXT DAY IF YOU KNOW IT' WILL GO OUT OF STOCK. I just cannot understand. These people are idiots and unreliable.

I ordered a dress from this website almost a year ago. It did not fit and I returned it with the tag still on in the original packaging and received a store credit. I have attempted to use my store credit on numerous occasions with the results always being the same. I am told always that the code is invalid and can not be applied to my bag. I have called customer service multiple times and had a miserable experience with the result being that I am still unable to use my store credit after spending hours filling up my shopping cart. At this point I am fed up and just want my money back since this store credit is clearly unusable on any items on there site. I am not interested in donating 42.95 to Promgirl and would n ever shop here again due to a total lack of customer service and worthless store credits. I will continue calling and attempting to get my money back until something is done about this, and I am made whole, but I will NEVER EVER purchase anything else from this site due to the absolutely miserable experience I have been having for almost a year now.

I had ordered a dress on a Friday night, I payed for three day shipping so it would be at my house by Wednesday. The package never arrived so I called them and asked where it was, they said it was damaged by UPS. We had to re-order WITHOUT a refund, but they promised id get it once the investigation was complete. With my re order, we got the first day shipping so it would be here Tuesday. It never came. I called again and they said that it would be here Friday. (ONE DAY BEFORE MY PROM) I have to go shopping for ANOTHER dress today because I cant trust the shipping of this company. I probably wont ever order from Promgirl ever again.
Dress was no make in America being it was very cheaply made and zipper was the zipper you would put on an infants dress. Not a a prom gown. It kept snagging but we finally got it up. Less than 30 minutes before we are supposed to leave for the prom the whole zipper broker we tried over an hour to get it fixed. No such luck daughter was in tears but had no other options we finally got is up enough to cover her butt. So she had to wear it like that to the prom... i want a full refund and i hope this help at least a few people... DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. THEY WILL NOT MAKE IT RIGHT!

So, I placed my order somewhere near the end of March, and it said that it would ship at the beginning of April, which it didn't until 3 days later - and that was okay with me, as long as it shipped before May. I was initially a tad bit worried because the shipping times weren't exact, but it did get to me in less than 2 weeks (I live in Calgary, Alberta, for those who are wondering) and no, there is no way it'd take 3-5 days if you didn't choose express shipping. The best part about it was that I did not get taxed for customs or duties, thank the lord, i was worried because it did ship by UPS and i've had terrible experiences at UPS, but thankfully not this time. In terms of the actual dress itself, it looks exactly like the photo, slight color difference but not noticeable, the sizing was pretty spot on for me (measure yourself correctly, ladies!), and besides the delayed shipment, everything else was simply on point. Don't worry, i was skeptical at first because i was paying around $300 for my dress, but now I'm super satisfied with my experience there. Thanks so much promgirl!
Ordered a dress to wear to my best friends wedding. When the dress came in the material was thinner and more cheap looking than I expected, but the pattern was cute and it fit so I kept it. Fast forward 2 weeks to the wedding day, as I am putting my dress on and zipping up the zipper, the zipper gets stuck. Not stuck in any material. Just stuck. Cheap zipper. Would NOT BUDGE! Had several people try to zip it either up or down and nothing worked. Emailed customer service for several days and after many emails and pics sent to them, they tell me they can not do anything because the tags were taken off. They refuse to help whatso ever. They won't even give a store credit. BOTTOM LINE; CHEAP DRESSES, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Ok so my prom is on May 4th, 2013 and I had been searching for the right dress for quite a while & I came across this Scala dress on promgirl.com & I reallly really liked it I had heard both good and bad reviews about this website but since prom is just next week I decided to order it on 4/24/13 I chose next day ship because I needed it ASAP I received it on the 25th which was really great, i was sooo scared to get the wrong dress or wrong size etc. but I still took my chances and it was a great outcome! The color and the size were just right. It fit me perfectly :) I don't know why others have had issues with this company but I enjoyed shopping with them I would recommend this to anyone.:)
