This company has no idea what customer service is. There's an absolute lack of communication and shipping is slow. Pulling teeth would be easier than getting a refund or returning anything. Not happy.
I have ordered from Promgirl around three times and I haven't had any complaints. Packages have arrived on time if not earlier, great customer service and although the quality is not "the best" it is good for an one time activity. That must be the reason why prices are reasonable. Most of us won't wear a prom or weeding dress twice.
Our daughter looked like a princess in her Promgirl.com dress and it was absolutely the perfect choice. However, if timing is an issue for you, please get a clear description of delivery dates. Evidently it is based on "business days" which was unclear to us.
My dress is gorgeous and looks amazing. But they definitely could've done better. The lace on the dress is the worst material I've ever seen, it's so cheap and tacky. Same with the zipper. Like I get so much anxiety zipping it up and down because I'm scared it'll rip. Also the sizes need to be fixed. Someone who is extra small & has a 24" waist will most likely not be blessed with a 33" bust and 37" hips? Like it's pretty idealistic. The top of my dress is completely covered in lace detailing so I cannot properly get it tightened because it will ruin the design. Either they should have more realistic sizes or let you put in Your measurements.
The zipper sticks on this dress and it cuts into my daughter's skin in some places. Yet, if we purchased the bigger size, it would be too big. The neckline is way to small which is an unusual place for something not to fit.
Brought for daughter's prom. Arrived in good time but now I have to sew poppers, hooks and eyes back on. They were there but have come off already when trying dress on. I know these are minor but when you have spent a considerable amount of money and then import tax in U. K. You would hope it was perfect.
I LOVE this company! The dress was perfect and exactly what I ordered! I would highly recommend buying from this website... don't let all the negative reviews scare you away... I honestly don't understand why there are so many of them. The dresses are the actual designer name brands at a very low price! I can't believe I got a Dave and Johnny dress that was regular $311, for $79! What a steal!

Ordered the dress from Canada on Tuesday and just received it on Thursday, absolutely blown away with how fast it came, not to mention it is absolutely stunning and fits me perfectly. I was a bit skeptical when I read all these review but ordered it anyways and I have no regrets. The dress looks like its way more expensive then the price I got it for!
Its too bad it costs $40 to try on two dresses. Selling specialty dresses is difficult but that is ridiculous especially when returned with the one week time frame. Looking at the number of one star ratings on this site Prom Girl should really look at the lost business in the future. Find a way to sell a good product and have a realistic return policy. Don't except worn returns. But the honest customers far outweigh the dishonest and you are losing them. I would be very careful before I would purchase again and cannot recommend to anyone.

The dress came in three days, looks exactly like the picture, is true to size, and is great quality! It also came with a coupon of ten dollars off my next purchase. I will definitely reorder from this site.

What a rip-off place this is. Haven't even received the cheap looking dress yet but they give very unclear shipping options - the standard UPS ground is default while at the same time they "guarantee" to deliver by whenever you need it. Not true. And guess what - they charge a re-stocking fee for any returns. Don't order from "PromGirl"

After reading the negative reviews, I thought I should add another, more positive, story. We ordered a dress for my daughter that she just loved online. It arrived in 2 days--amazing! And it was just as shown online, from the named manufacturer, no obvious flaws. However when trying it on, the zipper broke and came apart.
I emailed Promgirl.com with some anxiety, after reading some of the reviews on this site. However they were very responsive. Not only did they accept a return without question, but agreed to refund my money as we did not have enough time to order another dress.
I would order from Promgirl again and likely will do so next year. They have an amazing selection of beautiful dresses and were very easy to deal with.
This is our second purchase. As usual with little alteration, (my daughter is only 5'3") the dress fits perfectly and look so beautiful! Very inexpensive, and came in on the delivery date! We'll be a repeat clientele!
As the mom who placed the order, I found that my daughter decided too late to return her dress. I checked all emails, the policy was not there. It was in small print inside the box. Beware you have 7 days. Not long enough for my teen to decide and take action. Now we are stuck with a dress she won't be wearing. Return policy is much better on other sites!
Quality of dress was ridiculous... the absolute worse I have EVER seen in my entire life! $100 worth of junk! Never again buy a dress online thanks to this website. The workmanship was so poor, how can they possibly feel good about selling a product like that... STAY AWAY from this site! You have been warned!
BUYER BEWARE! We ordered a prom dress and it did not fit. We returned within 5 days with the tags still on it and were charged a 10% restocking fee.no where on the website could we find the notice of the fee. To ad insult to injury they told us they would give us store credit of which we reluctantly accepted. The operator put me on hold and then changed his mind and tod me could not offer any credit.
Very very disappointed. With three daughters nearing communion age I will be looking elsewhere. I figure with sweet 16 parties, proms and other formats, they lost thousands to save 27 bucks. Bad business decision.

Love Promgirl! We have ordered several dresses over the years from them. From pageants to homecoming they have what you are looking for. Formal wear always runs a bit smaller then your normal street size so you need to keep that in mind when ordering. Shipping is fast, and easy returns if needed. Typically you will need a little altering for a custom fit but that is to be expected. They carry all the name brands as well as very affordable but quality choices.
